How to Live as the Enemy Prince

< Chapter 15. Let me ask you a question (1) >

Alan says Remain is always pushing things around, which is bullshit. Apparently, Remain was treating Alan as hard as he could.

Alan was the only one working in the royal palace who had a private office in the Arfia Palace, which is Le Maine's administrative space.

"Wow · · · · · · ·"

The first time I came to Allen's office, Calian expressed his admiration. I had not yet entered the office, so I was not impressed by the facilities or the area of the office.

"That's incredible."

Callian laughs.

After realizing the sound of his laughter in the solemn hallway of the Arfia palace, Kalian barely stopped laughing.

"I can see why you've always been close to the king. You complained because you took care of your master so well."

Callian looks at the two offices on the top floor of the Arfia Palace.

On the left side of the hallway was the portrait of the kings of Cairus, Remain's office, and on the right was Alan's office.

In other words, Remain provided a place for Alan to work right across the street from his office.

With the gate open, there will be a king, so what better way to treat Allan than he is to have no title in Cairis?

"Don't say that."

Alan grumbles.

I originally came to give him a bigger and better room, which was across from Remain. Lemaine says no, but he says he'll just put another desk in his office. It has been several months since I entered the new office with tears in my mouth for this dramatic treatment of the king.

"You probably don't even know how much you suffer every day."

Alan's primary job was with the Wizards' Balkans. Of course it was with Le Maine. At some point, Le Maine started handing over her share to Allen one by one.

Thanks to this, Alan was able to barely see the magic of the prince while he was working, thinking, 'The time left to teach the prince magic will help him a little.'

Of course, Alan's death was merely an excuse to enter the palace. In addition, Kalian is well acquainted with the knowledge of the old Kalian and is practicing magic on his own.

But there's still something wrong with this.

"The work of the king is like the Hahae."

The smile of Kalian begins again, watching Allen's relentless complaining. Alan quickly opens the door to the Oval Office and sends his nephew, who can't stop laughing.

That way, Calian sits on the couch, trying to wipe his smile from his office.

It was for Le Maine's sake that Calian followed Allen to the Arfia Palace. Alan brought Calian here because he was afraid to listen to Calian.

'No matter how secretly you and McDreamy meet, you will be discovered. So let's just say you have something to see in my office. That's better.'

Thanks to this, Kalian comes out as soon as he finishes his conversation with Alan. And I arrived at the Palace of Arfia with a lot of greetings.

"Stay for a while. Now I'm going to sneak you in."

After Allen's pranky remarks, Calian's heart thumps again. It was right of Kalian to ask for a secret meeting with Remain, but I didn't expect to see him so soon.

He sat on Alan's office couch, scrunching his neck, moving his facial muscles a few times, and checking his clothesline. I'm nervous.

Soon after that, the door reopens and Alan walks in first, followed by Remain. Callian, who got up from his seat, respectfully took an example.

"Yes."

Le Maine, greeted by Calian in short, sits across from him. And Alan went out again. He wants the manger, so he leaves.

A moment ago, Calian smiled and said to Le Maine, smiling as if someone who came here was serious enough to be right.

"Thank you for coming out on such short notice, Your Grace."

The tone was quite stiff. Remain replies with a relaxed voice as he looks at Calian's face.

"Don't be so difficult."

Kalian smiles awkwardly, and Remain's words continue.

"I was worried that the Queen's words were in my heart at the supper, but it was nice to hear you laughing and talking."

I thought I heard Kalian's laugh and conversation in the hallway. Calian, who is embarrassed, wants to apologize, says Remain first.

"I'm not saying it because I feel bad. Don't worry. I'm relieved you grew up strong enough not to be swayed by such words."

In Le Maine's words, Calian bowed his head with a deep thanks that he had never had for Devil, king of Cecritia.

"I don't care about any of that, Your Majesty. Thank you for your consideration."

"Yes, thank God."

Remain nods with a slight smile.

And Remain gazed deeply into Calian's eyes for a brief moment. Then, he opened his mouth with a little moxa.

"Lord Manasil says you're thinking of destroying something else, so listen to him."

It was a combination of worries and concerns. Calian's eyes turn toward the door, terrified to hear Remain's words. It was where Alan would be.

If you listen to Remain now, you'll find that there are literally several times as many jackals as Plants.

Kalian sighs a small sigh without my knowledge. Le Maine doesn't say much about Calian's sigh because she seems to know how it feels.

Soon, Calian folds his grumbling eyes and looks back at Remain.

"Yes, Your Majesty. There is a crumbling thing."

Remain nods.

"I will prepare my mind for what I will destroy. Talk to me."

"Of course it's Brycen."

Remain's gaze points out the window.

"Lennon Brissen and Grey Brissen change bags."

"No, I'm talking about the late Earl of Brissen himself, not just one."

Instead of worrying about him again, Le Maine said as hard as she could.

"Yes. One day it will be. Keep talking."

"First, I'd like to meet the nobles of the Knight family. That's why I wanted to ask you who it would be."

"Are you asking me if growing your power will harm me or if I'll be wary?"

"Yes, Your Majesty."

In other words, he asked what Remain would think of his growing strength. That's a bold question.

Remain, who understood it, said, disappearing.

"The teacher said he was the disciple."

"What do you mean by that?"

"When you said you were building a magical institute, I asked Sir Manasil the same thing. But now they're knights."

Le Maine looks at Calian with a kind father smile.

"Yes, it's fine. Do what you want."

"Thank you for your permission."

Calian thanked me for the specific explanation of what he wanted to ask for.

"There are a few people I'd like to talk to, but I need to avoid Brycen's eyes. Would you be so kind as to raise up a little bit of what you said to Mr. Plants at the dinner?"

Not everything Remain said at the dinner was empty. As soon as Calian's story was finished, Le Maine immediately realized what she was talking about.

"You mean hunting?"

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Callian continued to explain.

"It was a natural story during dinner, and it was recommended to Mr. Plants, not me. Even if it is suddenly propelled, there will be fewer doubters."

Remain nods and carefully listens to Khalian.

"Besides, since it's a hunting contest, there's nothing strange about all the nobles of the Knight family participating. The Queen will not be there, and rumors will spread of the change of the bag soon, and so will the Marquis of Brissen."

The words made Le Maine's face somewhat dark. It wasn't because it was difficult to open a hunting competition once. Remain silently asked if he had any insight into what Kalian had to say.

"Brissen says you have to avoid the eye and asks Plants to make sure you have a place to go. Did Plants and the Queen turn their backs on each other?"

"Yes. At the very least, Mr. Plants seems to have changed his mind."

Le Maine looks a little confused.

Soon, he nodded and replied.

"It shouldn't be difficult. Prepare yourself, I tell you."

With pleasant permission, Kalian sends his thanks once again. And he said in a more cautious voice than before.

"And I have one more favor to ask of you."

"Tell me."

The next Khalian's words were completely unexpected to Remain.

"I'd like to create a massive Movement Wizard between Cairysis and Siegfried. In the future, we want to connect to other regions as well."

"Siegfried."

Land of the elephants. A traveling enchantment that connects them to Cairysis.

"In that case, Siegfried's knights could have covered Cairysis in three days."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

"Through Lord Manasil, I have heard that your servant is Siegfried's firstborn. I'm aware of the nature of the Siegfried Ball, the homeowner, but I don't think the story you're telling right now can be determined simply by the trust in them."

Remain in mind for a while.

But it wasn't up to Shui to decide.

"I'll answer again in the future, so wait a little longer."

"I will."

Eventually, Remain said he needed some time to think.

* * *

People's tastes usually change like their palms are turned upside down at some point.

It was proof that Kalian didn't like the coffee Bern used to drink very much.

Since it was coffee on the day the poison was released in front of Silica, Calian did not particularly refuse to give it to anyone, but did not find the coffee first and drink it. It is a subtle objection.

After knowing this, Jan had never served Kalian coffee.

He is Allan who always lives with coffee, but he also knew the inside of this Khalian, so he did not drink coffee in Chermill Palace.

After speaking with Remain, Alan returned to Chermill Palace with Calian and asked Jan what to drink.

"Just give me anything."

Arsen, who was sitting across from Alan, politely replied to Jan asking the same question.

"Would you mind if I had a cup of strong coffee?"

"Yes."

Yan, who was pleasantly stuffy, placed a highly concentrated cup of coffee in front of this wizard, whose eyes were filled with deep darkness.

Alan glanced at the coffee with a mouthful of mint tea and said softly toward Arsen.

"You. You'll die if you finish that."

"Nothing in particular seems to make any difference."

whether you die from overwork or die from a coffee that has a similar color to subspace.

Arsen sipped a cup of coffee without much reluctance.

When Calian sees that, he shakes his head.

"You haven't developed a space movement magician."

Khalian opens his mouth, especially when he has never pressed Arsenal. He said Remain wouldn't give me an answer anyway, so there was no need to rush, and he seemed to be dead before Arsenal became the captain of the Balkans.

"I think you should rest for the day. And just make it a regular magic circle. Reinforce your guard."

Since he didn't intend to kill Arsen so far, Calian bit what he had ordered.

"No, I'm not."

Surprisingly, however, Arsenal shakes his head.

"I have the answer, Prince. It changed the principle of the phosphorus of the oath. Usage agreements between multiple targets and the Wizards are possible."

Then, Arsenal smiled at Kalian with his eyes and asked him why he drank that coffee that seemed to save lives, not sleep.

"McDreamy can monopolize the Movement Wizard."

I really like that word.

Kalian smiles of trust as he looks at Arsen.

"Well done."

Arsen, who had taken Jan's coffee before he heard this, fell asleep on Calian's couch. And I fell asleep for a long time.

Alan looks at it and asks for Callian.

"Is there anything else I can do for him?"

"Yes, we are going to send wizards from the Wizard's Society."

"Then he must be a free wizard again."

When Callian is unable to answer why he asked it, he smiles satisfactorily as he finds the answer on his face.

The Wizards' work is piled up in the Arfia Palace.

I can't afford to be the future commander.
