How to Live as the Enemy Prince

< Chapter 15. Let me ask you a question (5) >

At first, I thought I was awake as soon as I closed my eyes.

When I got to Alan's house and fell asleep, it was night because it was still night after I woke up. But I was strangely open to waking up again.

That's why Arsenal, who had been staring at the situation for a long time, realized that time had come rather than going to sleep. Thanks to that, I almost realized that I had slept all night and woke up at night again. I only slept for more than 20 hours.

- Glug glug.

When I woke up, I felt a rush of emptiness and my stomach fluttered.

Since Callian has spoken so firmly, Alan leaves for the royal palace without waking the sleeping Arsen. So, when it was night again, Arsen went out to enjoy the luxury of getting up.

The house was lit, but it was not popular. As Arsen ponders for a moment, he finds some eggs in Alan's kitchen and smashes them into a plate. He then lit a small fire on his fingertips and roughly cooked it.

Soon, Arsen began eating back and forth with raw bread made in a very primitive way, without even adding salt. It tasted like something was lacking, but Arsen couldn't tell if it was a chicken's egg or a duck's egg by now.

- Tak.

A steamed chicken stew was placed in front of the arcene. I was looking at Stu with a very fragrant smell, and I heard a similar nagging sound.

"Even the warriors of the Great Desert don't eat like that, mister."

"Thank you."

Veronica, Alan's granddaughter.

Rather, Veronica, who is older than sixteen Hinas, has declared that it is time to speak to each other. And he was so comfortable with Arsenal. Except that Arsen was only twice my age, it didn't matter much.

"Thank you, Grandpa, not me. Grandpa told me to stay put and take care of you."

I've known Veronica for over a month, but I still haven't heard the word "grandfather." It's because I'm still unfamiliar with the fact that Alan looks younger than Arsen has a granddaughter or the idea of calling him a grandfather.

"You look like you're gonna starve to death in your sleep."

But my granddaughter was right.

"You said never to leave the house, so you can tell me if you need anything. Let me help you."

Arsen grins his head with a mouthful of stew.

Veronica sits next to him and eats a roasted duck egg. After that, I just baked and spit out what was in my mouth, admiring the peculiar taste of Arsen's cooking skills.

Arsen mutters, "I don't think so."

"Did he say anything about why I shouldn't go out?"

Arsen still did not know why he should not leave. I came as I asked, but I still wanted to hear the reason. Veronica nods and answers if she heard anything from Alan.

"The queen said she would look for you a lot. There's no place safer than here, except the palace, so don't ask me any more questions, just stay here."

Ahh.

Arsen nods, not perfectly, but understands Khalian's intentions appropriately. Then I started eating the chicken stew in front of me again.

The queen is looking for you. What should I do?

Thanks to you, Arsen looks relaxed and smiles.

The next morning.

The Grand Chamberlain, Evan Brissen, listens to what the Chamberlain has told you and gives you a head that doesn't hurt.

I haven't been able to figure out even the stubborn rumors about Grey's involvement in the injury, but I'm having trouble again.

'There's been another rumor, my lord.'

It was not Kalian's intention in particular, but there is one more piece of bad news about Evan. This is why Deputy Commander Arsen Hertz of the Valkan Wizards was attacked on his way home and is strangely lost.

There was testimony from Arsen's horseman and Kyrie, who followed him because he had something to say to Arsen, and the ten bodies lying on the banks of the Senho River became evidence. They were all Knights of the Earl of Brissen.

Since the wounds on the bodies were so different, it didn't get much attention that the corpses with their throats were mixed so smoothly. He thought that if he could pierce people with an ice spear, he could make an ice knife and slit their throats.

- Earl Brissen has kidnapped Arsen Hertz this time!

This is how rumors arose.

Renan's work, which Evan personally touched, was not that noteworthy. However, a story continued to spread that Evan was involved in the work of Grey or even Arsen, who had no face for more than a decade.

If anything, Le Maine was interested in getting Arsenal in her mouth that afternoon. As long as you are not a fool, no one understands that Remain created something called the Balkans to deal with Brissen. But Arsen disappeared and there was the corpse of the Knight Bricen, fearful that the Valkan Choir would be announced.

Isn't Evan the only one who would suspect himself?

"I've been informed that Kaerra's knights will be visiting this afternoon."

"I can't believe you're investigating the Marquis. You must think I've tampered with your power."

There's no other way to spy.

'There is also a problem with Grey, so there is nothing good to stand up to Remain right now.'

Eventually, Evan nodded and replied.

"I see. When you arrive, lead me in a respectful manner."

Evan frowns. It reminds me of the one who caused this.

"What the hell was Tale involved with him for?"

The steward who was standing in front of Evan replied with a cautious voice in a sunken voice.

"Tails came to the palace during the day. Perhaps it was the Queen who called you."

Although he carefully asked it, it must have been the reason. There is no way for an outcast knight to enter the palace unless Silica summons him.

"Silike · · · · · · · · · · ·. Another silica."

I joined Lennon and did something stupid, leaving a scar on the family that still hasn't healed, and now I'm starting to immerse my father in a muzzle. Why did you give me this month to write the erl's knights?

Soon Evan stood up and said.

"I'm going to the palace right now."

"Do you wish to see the Queen?"

The words caught Evan's eye.

"Did you ever want to see me kill my children with my own hands?"

Now Evan is angry enough to know what he'll do if he meets Silica. The butler hurriedly lowered his waist, saying that he misspoke because of the terrifying energy rising in every word.

"I'm sorry, Your Highness."

"· · · · · · · · I will meet the Prince."

"You mean Prince Plants."

"Then what are you going to do now with Randel or Calian?" "

"Yes, I understand."

I was surprised that Evan was meeting Plants in person, but the deacons could not ask him why. That's why the butler said he would quickly prepare again, looking down at his waist.

Callian looks up at the cloudy sky.

- The date for the hunt has been set. It's Saturday after three days. But even if it rains a lot, it can be delayed if the soil gets too wet.

Speaking of hunting at the dinner with the princes, no one was particularly opposed to Remain's idea of holding a canceled game last spring. After deciding the day for a few days, the sky became blurry like a lie after the date was confirmed.

Calian sighs a little as soon as he has to meet the nobles of the Knight family.

'I hope it doesn't rain this time.'

Even the spring hunt was canceled because of the rains.

Then the rain stops Calian from doing so much.

Lennon cleaned it up with money and Grey cleaned it up with clubs.

What should we get rid of the unnecessary rain sky?

As you look out the window, you hear a low voice in Calian's ears, having this incomplete thought.

"Are you going hunting with us?"

I was just thinking about hunting, so I almost said that Kalian would open his mouth.

You barely keep your mouth shut and glance at the Plants that Kalian just asked you about. Randall also said goodbye to Plants.

"I'm not going."

Randall has no idea what the hunt is in such a hurry. You'd think Le Maine was just inviting the others to the hunt between Plants and the two.

At the end of the day, Randall couldn't have been there because Remain had a seat for Plants. Moreover, the hunt did not suit Randall's taste.

"You should get some fresh air sometime."

Calian laughs as he sees Plants recommending one more time. It's not because I really wanted Randall to be there, it's because I knew he wasn't coming.

Randall replies indifferently.

"Thank you for your concern."

The one who worries or the one who answers thanks for worrying.

Finding humanity from silica will be quicker than finding authenticity in their words.

As I listened to the two brothers' conversations, I could feel the eyes of Randall on Calian, who was eating peacefully.

"I hear the Deputy Commander of the Balkans is missing. You must be worried sick."

Kalyan raises his head and looks at Randall.

'You really bring up the story of the Wizards who didn't care.'

It's not that you're worried about your personal friendship with Arsenal. Even though it is known that Balkans have nothing to do with Calian, we still need to ask him if he's worried about the Deputy Commander.

Soon after his disappearance two days ago, Calian replied, remembering Arsen, who was still fast asleep.

"I was used to it during Roselita, which makes me nervous. But I think you and your teacher are more worried than I am."

Maybe this will be a good answer.

The answer is no help to Randall.

Randall nods as he stares at Calian for a while.

"Yes."

Callian picks up the salad to hide his deep thoughts.

It wasn't this chaotic until I left Roselita. There were no discussions at the dinner table, whether there was a conversation or not.

'It was just a greeting or a conversation about the weather that I didn't like.'

I didn't know if it was because Callian was an adult or because Plants quit drinking and was well-dressed. But it was clear to Randall that a change of heart was coming.

After finishing his meal, Calian leaves the restaurant first, thinking about another incomplete thought that Plants, who didn't want to face Randall alone, might have told him to come for breakfast.

"The Old West should be here by now, right?"

It was a letter from Khalian sent to the White March, and Yan approached.

"Yes, I think he arrived yesterday afternoon."

"Yes, of course."

Khalian nods at Jann's words and opens his mouth to say something.

- Awesome.

Then suddenly I closed my mouth and stopped my feet.

Kalian's eyes set on the far side of the wall.

It's because I felt a very interesting battle began outside Chermill Palace.

Fear and life were each other's sizes.

There are only two people who would give that kind of energy to Cairosis, except for Khalian. Callian mutters with a small smile.

"I wonder why my teacher was so angry."

"Sir Manasil? What do you mean, angry?"

Yan smiles as if he was standing next to you.

Callian smiles and replies, smiling as if it were nothing.

"I'll be on the terrace. Get me a car."

The battle between Alan Manasil and Evan Brissen.

Wouldn't it be better for the great ones to grunt against each other and just relax and watch?
