How to Live as the Enemy Prince

< Chapter 23. If such a day comes (1) >

Kalian's glabella frowns.

I stayed calm for two days. I fully understood and agreed to accept the ban on going out without any time. But this is too much, isn't it?

"Hobbyist."

Remain sends a guard to the three princes. They broke the royal rule of not giving the princes a guardianship.

Of course, it was difficult to see it as excessive behavior.

Since their children are shedding blood in shifts during the annual event, we could see that Remain was pretty much self-sufficient to borrow Kaerra's knights. Honestly, Alan was worried about ditching all the knights at Chermill Palace and filling them up with the rest of the Kaerra.

Bricen was silent about him, out of her mind. I fear Randall may have tried to kill Brissen once and failed, and then put the tip of the sword on Plants.

The problem with Kalian was that they were no more than 'visit locks'.

'I'm just going for a walk.'

"No, Your Highness. '

I need to see Arsenal after the Balkans' training, but they never let me go. It was their explanation that Hina would never let them go out unless they accurately completed the '7 days' recommended by Hina.

"Let's fight."

Those knights will listen to me if they beat me.

Finally, Khalian shines his eyes and brings out such scary words. Yan, who was standing next to him, was startled and asked Khalian to speak in a small voice.

"What if you get hurt again?"

Who, to whom?

Khalian looks at Jan with these eyes.

Anyway, Jan was the same Jan.

"You need to rest. You can't carry her on your back again. I'll get Lord Hertz."

Finally, Calian sighs deeply and heads for the terrace.

At that moment, Jan thought that Calian might be able to escape over the terrace, but thankfully, he sat still on the terrace's chair.

"I'm not going. Just get me a cup of tea."

"Yes, Prince. I'll bring it right back."

Yan smiles as she gives up on going out. Callian opens his mouth quietly as he hears the closing call.

"I'm so frustrated. We have a lot of work to do, and we're stuck in here."

Not even Alan came.

When Alan comes, he knows he's going to create a job, so he's not going to even bother to take a break.

Of course, that didn't mean Kalian wouldn't have to do the job. I'm not the kind of person who thinks there's only so much fun to live for.

'After meeting Sir Hertz, call Demirea and have a word. After that · · · · · · · · · ·.'

So when Callian was tapping the table with his bare hands, he was cleaning up what he could do to get locked in the room.

"Niang!"

A cat flew off the terrace to get rid of Kalian's uselessness.

* * *

The roasted oatmeal cookie with raspberry jam smelled sweet.

Alan, who chewed a whole cookie in his mouth, was listening to just that much sweetness.

- Rumor has it that the relationship between Prince Cairys and the Duke of Siegfried will be between Khalian and Demirea, and if it is not a marriage, it will not be the usual.

Alan gives up everything in his mouth, takes a sip of coffee and opens his mouth slowly.

"Wouldn't a rumor like that suit me?"

It was not enough that they entered the ball together, so the two of them sat separately and exchanged stories throughout the party. In addition, Demirea complained to Bryce about Calian's disappearance and holding onto Plants. Judging by their identities and abilities, it was hard to find a pillow the same size as each other, even though they were the same age.

So it's weird that there aren't any such words among nobles who like to make horses.

"I don't want to explain it. I want to leave it alone."

"Are you willing to just ignore the rumors like you two are engaged?"

If the royal family had not reacted to him, the nobles would have believed it was a fact.

"I think so. But first you have to ask Kalian for his opinion."

"I'll visit Prince Kalian once. But is it for your greed or for the prince?"

At Le Maine's words, Alan smiles and says,

"You're talking again. Every time I hear this story, I look like I'm one of Kalian's competitors."

"I wonder if you would like to use the Duke of Siegfried as a Sadon to increase your power, or to strengthen Prince Kalian's position."

Le Maine replied boldly without any reaction.

"Don't worry, I don't want to use Siegfried for me."

Immediately, Remain took off his glasses and put them on the table.

"The rumors have diminished the useless stories of Kalian's disappearance. It's a relief that the late Lord Brissen didn't stay put while he was tired."

Alan nods.

Then he chewed one more oatmeal cookie and replied.

"If the story is solid that Prince Brissen feels burdened with his duties as he wishes, Prince Kalian has fled the capital and is captured, it could be a huge shortcoming for Prince Kalian in the future."

"So I'd rather the nobles didn't have any interest in it. Marriage is better than castration."

Having played with Demirea properly, Evan is desperate to get the job done somehow. He asked me to restore Brysen's dishonored reputation and to make sure that Calian was worthy of being prince.

"Then it won't be so bad if it really leads to marriage."

Added Le Maine's smile deeply changed.

Kalian is clearly aware of the actual age difference from Demirea, but Demirea is a great person to abandon her duchecy and enter the palace.

"Don't worry, it won't happen. The Peacock is not a man to abandon Siegfried and play prince or queen. If you are thinking of sending your third son to elephant land, you can expect a marriage."

"· · · · · · · ·"

"Has there been any chatter about Prince Randall?"

Calian and Plants aren't that old yet, but Randall will soon be 19, so maybe it's time to start talking about marriage.

"No way. I'm thinking about it now. More and more since the news that Tensyl and the Great Desert have joined hands."

Remain turns his head and points to a pile of scrolls on his desk. At that moment, Alan could hardly bear to say anything to announce their list.

The prince who was born among the royal families of other countries was determined by law to marry someone in his country. In other words, Randall, who was also a blood relative of Tensyl, could never marry another Tensyl man again. Then this country will surely fall into Tensyl's hands.

That means that all of the people on that scroll are the nobles of Cairis supporting Randell, so it was natural for Alan to want to know exactly who they were.

Remain notices it, smiling deeply.

"I can't."

"I know."

The choice of royal mercy is the King and Queen's sole authority.

To prevent unnecessary power struggles. With no queen, Allen had nothing to do with Le Maine's decision to see for herself.

So when he said he couldn't show the list either, Alan nodded and ate another oatmeal cookie, unfortunately.

"But about what we talked about last time, about the Knights. I will allow you to hide the knights of Earl Aprine in Siegfried's mansion."

"Yes. I will send word to Prince Kalian that I will allow him to marry the Peacock." "

"I've always wondered."

Remain looks at Allen for a while after opening his mouth with a somewhat calm voice. Alan sits motionlessly as if to talk to him, followed by Remain's question.

"Wouldn't it be fun if a prince like the Sispanians could do magic? That's what I said."

"You mean when I first came to the palace."

"Yes. You said you'd be Calian's sorcery teacher. I remember."

"You must have forgotten that."

"· · · · · · If so, how far can I trust you?"

The expression on Alan's face changed strangely.

"That's a quick question. When Prince Kalian asks you to take him away when you feel helpless, do you ever come and ask me that?"

"At that time, I thought the priesthood was strict."

He said, putting down the cup of tea that Lemaine was holding. The sound of the tea cups tapping rang for a moment.

"I didn't think it would be enough to help the prince with his own work, even with Cecritia's laundry."

It seems you've learned that the Se-critian tenants helped you with Calian's work. He did not mention whether he did not know it or did not tell it. Among those who attacked Calian, he did not mention that there was a seizure.

"How did you know that?"

"It's not that I don't have ears to hear. Of course, since you stepped up to help Callian, I won't let the prince of Cecretia have another year. I'd like to know the real reason why you're helping Khalian so much that you won't have to block out the means. I don't know how far you can trust me."

"She is a beautiful and pathetic student, and there must be some other reason to help her besides Sudan. Don't worry, the old man thinks he's raising her like blood."

Alan smiles, smiling. Then, I put out what I had in mind.

"I may be able to stop you from breathing when you try to stand in front of Prince Kalian, but I will not stand in front of him."

"· · · · · · · Yes. Thank goodness."

Now, Le Maine, who was threatened by the wizard in front of her, nods with a face as if she had heard the most trustworthy words in the world.

* * *

I said I didn't want a boring life.

I never thought I'd want to see a cat fall from the sky.

"So · · · · · · · · ·."

Calian, baptized by a random cat, held in his arms.

'I am Prince Plants' favorite cat, Prince Kalian. '

I opened my mouth as I stroked the cat.

"Why is the cat?"

Plants did not answer for a moment.

So Plants was right about coming into Calian's room. I just didn't intend to bring the cat. He was not of that nature, nor was he comfortable enough to hold the cat and visit carefully downstairs. It's broad daylight.

You lower the cat you were holding when you heard Callian scream under the terrace, and open the door to the terrace and jump off.

And the cat jumped together.

Plants, picturing a series of scenarios towards Calian, who captured the cat in a few easy moves, gave an answer that would explain the situation well.

"Somehow."

Calian nods quietly, thinking about that unfriendly answer, "I didn't mean to bring it here on purpose, but I'm here with you."

"Very well. Have a seat."

The head nodding plant sits down, and apparently a cat who prefers Calian's cat, Plants, rises above Plants' knees. No one will ever know how hard it was for Callian to resist smiling, looking at plants that naturally put their hands on cats.

"Then, why did you come, not the cat? And through the window."

That's why I came to the terrace in broad daylight. There was no other reason than to avoid Le Maine's escort crisis. That would mean that Le Maine should not know anything through the Homocrisis.

Plants' green eyes turned to Callian, who expressed a silent expression.

"Perhaps the Knights will be here soon."

"What Knights?"

"The erl I summoned into the coffin of Wilhelm. I thought I was building a knighthood for you."

Kalian's eyes bend long.

Khalian told Plants himself that he would meet with the Knight families, including Eizen, at the Hunting Games last fall. Time had passed since the story, and he had never told me how things were going.

During Plants' Birthday Festival, Maltana Le Maine, Plants made arrangements for the meeting of Kalian and Aizen.

"I knew you were smart."

"Don't bark."

Kalian nods, smiling bloody.

"Yes. Soon we will have the Knights of Earl Aefre in the capital. I thought it might be a good idea to keep them inside the palace if you want to keep Karen and Raon out. Why do you ask?"

"Karen, Raon. I'm going to grab it."

Karen and Raon, two royal knights.

As you think of them, Plants opens his mouth for a moment as he picks up his words.

"Then there's no need to keep the new knights in the palace."

"If only you could control the two knights properly."

"I will. I hope you have the new Knights."

Kalian's eyes widen.

It was because Karen and Raon's sword told them not to keep the knights who worked hard to get to Le Maine in the palace, but to make the Eisen Knights belong to the Kalian.

"Are you already preparing to raise cats in Brissen? I said I'd give you a brisen, but I didn't expect you to go this far."

"My brother told me to keep a cat."

"You have received my knights in return for giving me the Balkans. Very well. I'd rather have what's in my hand than an alliance with Siegfried, so I'll do that."

Callian smiles and asks.

"Shall I tell you?"

"I don't need it."

And thanks again was omitted.
