How to Live as the Enemy Prince

< Chapter 30. My People (4) >

Arsen did not trust people easily.

Therefore, he did not believe a word that Kalian and Plants had learned to bandage their wounds. In fact, no one in the world will believe it. Even changing clothes is a royal family that borrows the hands of servants and maids.

If you yield a hundred times and believe what Plants has to say, the question won't go away. It was different from what I learned, what I knew, what I was good at.

"You did."

So Arsen replied:

It was because Plants understood that such a shameless lie was not meant to mean "believe my lie."

Plants gave Arsen a reason to question himself.

Even though Kalian knows what it is and what it is, Plants is asking us to convince and move on from what is good enough to believe that lie.

"I understand."

In fact, Arsenal had long since felt that Kalian was unusual. I didn't know exactly why, but I told him to move on. If it's time to know, maybe Calian will tell you a story, believing so.

"Then I have one more question."

"What else?"

You couldn't possibly not understand the words, but you were going to ask me more questions, and Plants answered without hiding the annoying look. Despite his sleepy-looking face, he opens his mouth as if he was waiting for him to fall asleep.

"That robe, why is the X.O. holding it?"

Arsen's gaze said that was pointing to the white robe in the prince's hand. After getting out of the wagon, I met Arsen before returning him to Hina.

Plants looked at Arsenal for a moment and said,

"I must explain, Wizard."

"I'm curious, Deputy Commander."

I wouldn't be able to talk if I was hurt that badly.

The look on Plants' face was annoying once more. I realized that the name 'Deputy Commander' didn't come out as a good symbol.

I didn't want to waste my heart to explain that part or to point out that title. So Plants just went to the couch next to him and sat with his legs twisted.

I thought I might learn some magic, like Silent, Clean, or Slip, and I tried hard to think if I could.

I told them not to fight.

- Knock, knock.

Hina comes inside with a small knock just in time.

After taking another look at Arsen's wounds with a bump, Plants turned his gaze to the lobe on his knee.

It was a mindless act.

Arsen said his shoulder was fine, he was hemostatic, and he had nothing else to do here.

That's why.

I started to look again at how many lithium there are, what flowers they look like, and the white embroidery. And it was brighter than a wagon where Plants was now.

That's why.

'Ba · · · · · · · · · · ne.'

I noticed it.

I noticed a small, very small engraving between the white flowers that claimed to have embroidered instead of the name.

"Lord Bern. I'm sorry to have you show up at this hour. Your brother would have been worried."

And so, I heard Arsen's voice.

Just like the wizards of the Balkans, Hina was the same. I became a member of the Balkans and was called 'Lord'. It was known to Plants as well.

There was a problem.

"It's hard to tell because they're both Bern. When I meet your brother, I'll have to ask him if he can call me Kiri."

The servants and maids did not mention their last name in the palace. Even that name was often not my real name.

Along with that, it was Alan and Arsen who brought Hina to Balkan. Plants couldn't afford to worry about the Knights.

Therefore, Plants did not know what their last name was, that his acolytes and maids were brothers and sisters who shared the same last name. There was no one to tell, and there was no reason to know.

'Bern.'

As Arsenal listens appropriately, Plants recalls Hina's castle, embroidered in white.

'You look familiar.'

I was sure I looked familiar, but I couldn't remember.

Plants that day cannot be forgiven for any reason.

What Chase said when he asked for help instead of repaying it.

Even though I said I would listen to it.

* * *

As always.

"You're here."

Callian said this without saying anything else. It was a little surprising, but not particularly surprising, that Plants had come out to places other than the palace.

Alan and Euria decided to double check around the forest. After freely leaving the palace in the middle of the night, Khalian, who was unable to leave for too long, returned first.

After arriving at the Movement Enchantment, Calian and Plants, who had just come out after the arcene hemostasis, were about to encounter.

In Calian's short greeting, Plants nods without a word. I didn't say thank you, of course. As always.

"Let's go back to the palace."

Callian walks ahead. Then, you see the wagon standing outside the Movement Magic Camp and burst into laughter.

Black Cap Wagon.

There's only one black magenta wagon in this Cairis.

Obviously, he couldn't get permission to borrow it in advance, so it was definitely Allan's wagon.

"Well done."

Calian stops smiling and looks at Plants and says,

Plants also knew that his life wasn't safe enough. What's safer than Allan's wagon in a situation where we can't have escorts or royal wagons?

So, riding Alan's wagon is the best choice you can make as Plants.

Despite hearing Khalian's praise, Plants still didn't say much. Seeing such plants, Khalian disappears and drives Hina and Arsen into the wagon. And then I handed over the horse Gopi from Arsen, who had been riding all this time, to Plants.

It meant to say, "You have one horse left, so go on your horse."

"You can take the wagon if you're comfortable with it."

Arsen was still in need of treatment, so there was nothing good about having Plants in the wagon with him. Because of this, Plants was compelled not to refuse, but to hear what Kalian had to say. Kalian looks up at Hina's robe, which is still in his hand, but doesn't say anything else.

Arsen, sitting on a very comfortable couch on that magnificent wagon, immediately fell into a deep sleep.

I may have been relieved by seeing Kalian, but I couldn't say anything else.

So, I didn't know if it was sleep or fainting, but Calian took a short sigh instead of worrying about Arsen. It's because Arsena and Hina were together, and they said they would be fine.

- Polygonal, polygonal

Soon, one wagon and two horses set off again for the royal palace.

Even if he stopped bleeding and took urgent action, the treatment was not finished. I had to return to the palace as soon as possible, so the horse hooves were not so low this time.

Callian gives you a message to hear it quietly.

"You didn't have to come out. You must be tired."

A little while ago, he took it as if it were natural.

When Plants heard 'I'm going to be tired,' he looked uncomfortable for a moment. You notice that Kalian thinks of himself as a mindless plant in a greenhouse.

"I'm not tired."

However, I can't be annoyed by my brother who came back smelling blood. So I'm going to have to give you a proper answer.

"You."

Soon, Plants asked.

I thought Calian was the one who was tired.

It was the first time Plants had asked anyone how they were doing.

Whether you know it or not, Calian shrugs.

"I'm fine."

"Yes."

That was it.

What happened, no injuries, no water between them. After a short greeting, the two of them followed the horse behind the wagon without a word.

Again, polygons.

Only the tranquil hoofbeats echo through the vast archipelago of Cairysis.

Suddenly, I heard Plants.

"A brother and sister."

"You mean Kiri and Hina."

Plants nods.

"Yes, brother and sister."

I knew that Hina and Kiri had entered the palace together, and I knew that they were close, but I didn't know that their living equality was so different.

Plants knew, of course, that the scar on Hina's ear and the healing power of Hina were only half Elves. I couldn't hide it from you.

But not in Kiri.

I didn't notice the Half Elves at all. It was strange not to think about why Kiri's ears were so bright, now that he and his two were brothers.

When I think of Kiri, I think we have something in common, so I don't think he's trying to dig too deep about it.

I don't know.

"So that's why."

Plants shuts up, trying to say that Hina was Kyrie's sister and cared so much.

Why Kalian cares about Kiri. Why Kyrie is wary of Plants. It is because I think that the source is never pleasant.

"Are you Cecrethian?"

Instead, I asked him this.

Callian glances at such plants and asks.

"Curious."

"Just a guess, and let me get this straight. I don't want to."

I wonder if it's about Hina or Kiri. Or maybe it's about Callian. The exact thing was not known to Kalian, nor to Plants.

But it was clear that I had asked questions again, as I had done the last time. That's why Callian laughs.

"These are the children born and raised here."

And then the silent expression.

As for Arsenal, the story continues that Hina should not listen to.

"There was an accident. I also don't know the details of things that I shouldn't have. So I came to Cecretia, only in Kiri."

Is this the story of Bern?

Or the story of Callian.

Tales of the Axis of Time, Tales of War, Tons of Death, Tales of Bern.

Whether he thought it was not that story or that it was unrelated to the war, Calian had something in his mouth that he thought he would never tell after the rainy day.

"I taught him the sword like that, and I learned it pretty well. After I opened my eyes again, I found Kiri because I was very close to her. Hina was with him."

A timeless story of the past and the present.

With some conjecture about Kiri, Plants understands it well. I understood why Kalian was so fond of Hina.

"Thank goodness."

So I told her the same story one day.

Thank goodness.

I decided not to feel guilty about the Bern thing anymore. I'm just glad someone's alive to tell me there's a flower that doesn't smell.

Of course, Calian won't know exactly what it means, but that's just the way it is.

"Yes, thank God."

And Kalian replied:

The name of the person who should be forgotten.

So it can no longer be passed on through someone else who remembers it.

I smiled at Hina, who had a new name.

Maybe Hina lives for Bern.

So what better life could there be than that?

Calian laughs sincerely, as more people say it's a good thing.
