How To Live In A Different World

Episode 27: Gold Maker, Part II

"Amazing!

Dan turned to me while he was in charge of the carriage.

Ken went on to do that, too.

"I really didn't think you were knocking it down by yourself. All I could think of was an unpleasant image on the road.

I feel like I'm, uh...

"Well, I told you I'd be fine. But don't ever play games. Don't forget it's all a secret!

"I know. And more than that, we can't defeat it even if we stand upside down. It's hard to find!

That's what Dan answers.

"If you know what I mean!

I told the two of them with my gaze from above.

Back in Bales, when I went to my uncle the demolisher, he looked surprised.

"Whoa, it's you again. Second head in a short period of time? Wow! Even though it's rare to encounter it on the Bales Plains, I can't believe you brought it back.

"Well, I have a little trick for you, and I might bring you some more, thank you.

"Ooh, okay.

That said, the demolisher's uncle called his buddy, just like last time, and quickly made a demolition assessment.

The result was 80,000 zennies of gold.

It's considerably cheaper than the last value, but I can't help it because the individual is small.

But as far as I'm concerned, it's acceptable.

"I will - and we'll both hang in there tomorrow!

"" Okay.

Saying so broke up with the two of them.

But then it was harder to find than I thought, and as a result, I could only hunt five of them in nearly a month.

However, with the exception of the necessary expenses such as two hire rents and expedition miscellaneous expenses, I was able to get it to 400,000 zennies in monetary terms.

That's how I was at the sixth hunt, and when I went at 8: 00 before the plain, as usual, there was a man with Dan and Ken who was a little small I was unfamiliar with and seemed unsuitable for warriors and shields.

"Dan, Ken, who is that guy!

I ask the two of them.

Dan answers.

"This guy is one of my party members and he says Bamov. So, I was hoping we could help out a little together..."

"I'm supposed to be a secret.

"I know. I know. Excuse me. It's just that I seem to have been a little interested because it's a good job to crack. I followed you.

"He said he followed me... I only need two. I'm not paying for three!

I told Bamov to get a slightly strong tone and a frustrating attitude.

"Excuse me. I was interested in the two of you doing such a good job. Now the parties are working on their own pieces, bringing their money. I wanted to help the two of you because the work I was doing was done yesterday and I don't have my next job.

"I'm really only paying for two.

"Yeah, that's fine.

I didn't say anything, but I reluctantly admitted that I would help for free.

But this will then generate a great deal of regret.

Then it took me ten days to find the sixth head.

Tell Dans to bring the carriage, as usual, and I'll hunt it alone.

"Is it time for the limit?

I thought I'd look at the buffalo wreckage lying in front of me.

Buffalo acts alone and its scope of action is very impressive.

And it doesn't suit that giant. Short distances are fast, long distances.

Having become quite familiar with the ecology of Buffalo for a month, I realized that there are quite a few Buffalo in the Bales Plains.

The three of them brought a carriage and returned Buffalo to the loading valley as usual.

The next day, Dan and I came to the inn early in the morning and apologized to me and asked him to stop the job this time.

When asked why, they decided on a big job to do at the party, and they decided to join two of them.

Besides, in the first contract, the contract was forcibly terminated because it was due because it was an arrangement with around a month.

I reluctantly accepted the story and renewed my request to the guild of adventurers to hire the other two, and the next day I headed to the Plains of Bales.

Then three days later, I saw the worst when I returned to the Adventurer Guild to redeem the goblins I encountered on the road because it was still empty today.

There's a crowd next to the Adventurer Guild building, and I'm going to get close to wondering what it is.

In the middle of the crowd, Dan was crying and the wagon was carrying four bodies.

At that moment, I understood what had happened.

"You idiot. You guys left me alone!

I snapped bitterly and small as I moaned as I looked at Dan.

Maybe Bamov came to find out how I was fighting in the banditry and hid so I wouldn't know.

I caught some low-level dirt magic and imagined it would be easy to see how to hold my breath in one shot of a short sword.

When I asked the guys around me about the situation, they said they fought Buffalo for what went crazy even though it was an F class party.

It was just that one was returning to the city to pick up the wagon and turned out to be helpful, bringing the body of his murdered companion back to the wagon.

I don't feel like talking to Dan, I talk to the new two.

"I'm sorry about this contract, but it's over for today.

The two looked dissatisfied, but had not complained because they had received a good daily allowance in advance.

The three of us did the goblin redemption as usual in the Adventurer Guild, and what a promotion I got to level F.

But I was not happy at all with the promotion and on the other hand I returned to the inn feeling very ill, with an indescribable aftertaste of emotion and strong frustration.
