Hunter of the Perished World

[5] Monsters are Beasts (1)

He kept talking when his face flashed.

"What kind of monster makes a giant wolf swarm that doesn't swarm? The only monsters that swarm other species of monsters are demons. This is for sure. Apparently, the Devil brought in a pack of Giant Wolfs and destroyed the poetry himself."

"...... You know everything."

Gene was amazed at how absurd he was. It was surprising that the countryside guards knew so much about the devil.

It was a matter of conferring probability that the Giant Wolf attacked in droves, and that the Devil intervened.

"I used to ask questions every time a stranger came. I know what I know, but I've given up quite a bit. Well, don't you think I'm right?"

This is definitely the work of the Devil! Seeing White Ball for sure, Jin shakes his head excitedly.

"Hey White Cedar, do you know what a demon is?"

"Demons? What are demons?"

"What you're saying is just one type of demon."

Since we decided to spend the night here anyway, Gene thought it would be a good idea to tell this naive young man a little story.

"Demons refer to seven kinds of monsters in total."

"Seven? Aren't all demons the same?"

"Yes."

One of the new white-green eyes was glittering, and Gene felt overwhelmed by that attitude. But when I decided to tell him, Gene muttered slowly. It was a curse to even bring it up in the past, but now it's just a matter of the past that doesn't matter.

"Dragon."

"Demon"

"Vampire."

"Phantom."

"Immortal"

"Alien."

"And the Witch."

In total, the whites heard about the seven demons tilted their heads.

"I don't know what all this is. I think I've heard that one before."

"Of course."

Gene mutters low.

"It's all gone."

"He's not in the world?"

"Yes."

Jin is whispering the secrets of the world to this grumpy yet great listener, but his attitude is no different from the culinary gossip.

"The dragon slumbered, the devil was vanquished, the vampire was burned, the evil spirit purified, the immortal sealed, the foreign body banished, and the witch destroyed."

In explaining the world today, it was agreed long ago to say that. However, he was not smart enough to notice the nuance of Jean's words. Jin stared at the white sphere and said.

"So, it can't be the work of the devil."

Jin is not a prankster, so White Ball nods slowly.

"So what do you think happened to the poem?"

"We'll have to go there and find out. But it can't be the work of the devil."

The white man nods.

"I don't think you're just any hunter. My instincts are pretty accurate."

"Well, you don't look like an ordinary guard."

"Oh, it's me. It's so gross."

"People who can call themselves worms aren't usually worms."

"Hey, what's wrong? What do they call special hunters, anyway... What was it..."

White Goose thought this hunter might be the only one he'd ever heard of. It didn't take long for me to think of words to refer to those hunters.

"Yes! I remember! You're a demon-hunter, aren't you?"

The white sphere trembled. Gene thought he didn't know what it meant to be a demon-hunter. If he knew that, he wouldn't have liked to meet such a celebrity. Jean didn't answer, and White Ball, who was trembling for a long time, asked again.

"But you know what?"

"What is it?"

"You said no more demons."

"That's right."

"Then what's a demon-hunter? Umm…. I mean…. What good is a sickle if you don't have any grain?"

What's the point of a demon-hunter in a world without demons? Jin's expression is funny. There is no grain, but there is a sickle. What use is that sickle in the world? The metaphor was quite childish and accurate.

Gene answers.

"I don't know."

And he added.

"I wonder about that."

"What the heck..."

White goose sighs as if it were boring, and Gene laughs at what's so funny.

"Then why are you floating around?"

"To hunt demons."

Jean made up her mind.

"You said there were no demons."

"That's right."

"Why are you looking for the devil when you're so sure there's no demon?"

"Hmm…."

Gene thought about it for a moment and said in a clumsy manner.

"I don't think you've thought about it."

White Ball shakes his head as if he were some kind of madman.

Night comes, Gene lies on a filthy yet fluffy yo-yo, staring up at the ceiling of his cell. There is a thick wall, so you don't have to sleep vigilantly today. It is always a great blessing not to face the neurotic and sunny night in the field.

'He's smart.'

Jin thought the white boy was a pretty smart guy. If I can find such a hunting method alone, I'll be a great hunter in the future.

But a good hunter is far from a great man. Being a hunter is not a blessing to me. After all, it is the hunter's destiny to die in the field.

It might be better to stay inside the walls. It was a long way from here to a nest with a poor education system, and Gene had no intention of taking White Ball there if he was to go alone.

After all, it's just a sting. Gene knew that it was meaningless to associate with such a sting.

Even though it's a poor talent to leave as a guard, his talent eventually collapses when he catches an indestructible monster.

Most of all, Gene was tired of bonding with something, and he was bothered to leave it all behind.

If you do something annoying, you end up doing something even more annoying.

It was one of Gene's aphorisms.

Gene left the next morning at dawn. White Goose fed three or four potatoes, and Gene left the road feeling fresh because that compassion had been gone for a long time.

‘Strange neighborhood. ’

Ard Point, the town that built the prison walls, was both a quiet and strange town. Outsiders are often whitened unless they are a free city, but Jean stayed in town for a day yesterday and didn't feel that way. The inhabitants seemed peaceful, although not welcome. Elders think of people, and people respect the elders.

Ard Point was thought to be quite a livable place for Jin, who had spread out countless cities and villages. But Gene knows.

The faster the town that hasn't lost its respect, the faster it will collapse. People castrated their own recognition for a reason. Kindness is weak, weakness is dangerous.

‘Ten years at the most. ’

Humans are cruel to Humans not because they want to, but because they have to survive for a long time. Humans have always sought to survive for a long time, and it is no different now. However, technological advances have been made in the past in order to survive long periods of civilization's disappearance, and human choices have only become cruel and cruel.

It's the only secret to longevity and survival.

Bang!

Just like Jean shot a stranger coming from afar.

Gene puts his rifle on his shoulder and slowly approaches the fallen corpse. The corpse that was pierced through the forehead collapses and there is no response.

Hunters and slatters are no different. No, to be precise, all drifters are the same. Everyone but me is the enemy. Attack before it is attacked. It is difficult to determine whether humans on the other side are enemies or not.

I think I should kill him first. If you were innocent, you would save the day by simply indulging in the bitter taste of innocence.

“Lucky you. ”

Gene mutters, noticing the corpse's bloodshot, red-brown glow. The target is a drifter addicted to Chaos Poison (CP).

"Oops, the monstrosity is already underway. ’

Gene quickly pulls the flick collar out of her lap as soon as she sees the bubbles boiling in the blood.

Cheers!

Gin pulls the fire lightly, dropping the flame in the pool and running forward.

Boom!

Soon, a flame erupted from behind with a fierce explosion. Gene had to roll back a few times in the future due to the impact of the explosion, and walked again with the dust on his coat behind him as if it were powder.

“Shhhhh!”

The creature born from the corpse struggles in the flames, but Gene never looks in that direction. The only people wandering this wilderness are hunters, highway robbers, slatters, vagrants and refugees. None of these are innocent except refugees, and those refugees are more likely to be innocent and far away.

He was a wanderer who didn't know when he was going to turn into a monster. He was safe again by defeating him first.

We were three days away from the target, and we still have a long way to go.
