7 Stories: "The Devil's Beast Skin Made by Someone"

"Merea, you used Future Stone."

"Ugh!?"

A year after the proclamation of the Future Stone called "Demon King Lord".

Merea still collected the stones of the future.

Sometimes I grip the future stones I collect, but the results remain the same and do not change.

On the other hand, the English spirits had been reduced to a single-digit number.

One day, Flander was asking Melea on the frivolous side.

Apparently, Merea's behavior was uncovered.

This bunch, the main purpose of hiding and collecting it to keep it from being used by the English Spirit, seemed to find out.

"I knew it. By the way, what's out there?

"Er... eh, hero?

"Melea, you're not good at lying."

"Yes......"

To be precise, I didn't like to lie to my own parental English spirits.

To Tenryu, who comes to visit from time to time, and his childish little Tenryu, his mouth turned enough to tell a purposeful fairy tale weaving a lie, but his tongue movement is particularly dull when the opponent is Flander.

"Prediction. - You said 'Demon King'."

"What!... hey, how did you figure that out"

"Haha, a little - I had a prediction. The anticipation has grown in me again recently. [M] I think it's because I asked Kurtista about the lower realm very recently."

"What story?

"In the lower realm these days, rumors are that the 'Demon King Hunt' is popular"

"Demon King Hunt......"

"- Yeah. That's another thing, I don't know. Maybe the lower city states are hungry for power more than I thought."

Flander abruptly corrected his residence and said:

Melea also tries to mimic it and correct her posture a little bit.

Flander took a breath before spinning the words with a serious look on his face like he had decided to.

◆ ◆ ◆

"I told you a little bit when Merea asked me that the word 'demon king' changed from a word referring to being powerful and then an incarnation of evil, to a word referring to just being mighty."

"Yeah, a little."

Apparently, Flander was finally excited to talk to me about the Demon King.

"You're right, it used to never be a word referring to such a broad person." The One Who Is Just Mighty "would be a little too indiscriminate, wouldn't it?

Flander laughed like he was in trouble and said.

"Soon after I was called a hero, I called him the Demon King, like a mighty and evil incarnation. But by the time I died, that part of" The Incarnation of Virtue "had shredded, and it was just a word to represent the mighty. My life was probably the" transition period. "

Conversion period.

Of course Melea doesn't know why the meaning has changed so much.

Flander was asking the opposite, as he perceived the inside of such a melea.

"By the way, do you know how that happened?

"Hmm..."

Melea had some expectations, too. But none of them went so far as to pin.

That's how worried I am, Flander tells me first when the time runs out.

"Because the Demon King as the incarnation of evil has reduced the number. At some point, they were no longer a threat. The tyrant, who had the power and was so perplexed with vice, was finally almost defeated"

That's a good thing.

"Yeah, right there."

Flander's smile turns into a bitter smile.

"But thanks to it, man - or state - lost his' common enemy '. Thanks to the common, and then very powerful, enemies, the state could not afford to be in the hands of other nations. Your gaze and that hand with the weapon weren't really for each other, were they? But because of the decline of the Demon King, there was now a sinister mood between nations"

- Give me a break.

"There's nothing you can do about complaining about history. Whatever the outcome - now the war between nations has become luxurious."

It's a terrible story.

Melea frankly thought so.

"That's how the meaning of the word Demon King changed when wars between nations began to flourish. Conveniently transformed into a nation."

"What do you mean?

"They wanted a strong force that could be used in the war"

Well, assuming we're at war, if we want to win there, we'll naturally seek strength.

If you skip a lot of problems and only think about winning or losing, that's probably what happens.

"He's a demon king when it comes to strong power. But the Demon King is almost gone. I've hunted it all down."

"Yeah."

"That's when one nation paid attention to another"

"Another subject?

"Yes. - I laid eyes on the 'hero' who existed like its special effects before the Demon King, still the incarnation of evil, was hunted down"

Melea felt dizzy.

In that Flander's words, I could predict what course history had followed.

"The hero who has confronted the Demon King is strong. It's just not the incarnation of vice. Rather, it is the opposite. Many of those heroes lost their role as heroes in the absence of the Demon King, but in a sunny mood they returned to their desired industries (i.e.). He who shifts to business, who advances in the study of art, who opens a dojo to pass on the martial arts he has learned to future generations. Those who venture into adventure in search of the unknown so as to exude much power. There were a lot of heroes. I wonder if a lot of people left the battle because of the recoil they were fighting against the Demon King"

Looking at the sky with nostalgic eyes, Flander said.

But such a flander's gaze soon falls to the ground.

"But there was a tragedy for them like that."

Unexpectedly, a dark word appeared in the conversation.

- Tragedy.

"In conclusion, a certain nation that paid attention to heroes tailored one hero to a demon king by making it up"

"Woo hoo..."

- I thought that would be the place.

Merea couldn't stop her heavy sigh from leaking.

"At first, I honestly hoped, 'Help me in the war,' but the hero didn't snort. I couldn't find a reason for the war to be hostile. That's why he refused to participate in the war because of his self-esteem. You can do something like that on your own. That's what I said.

But the power of that hero was so fascinating to the nation that it could get its hands out of its throat. But he's a hero. I can't impose it, and naturally I can't imitate it to force me to take that power away. When I was about to get blocked in eight directions, someone said... "

All you have to do is have a 'name'.

"And they have finally made a 'name' for themselves to forcibly take away the power of a hero"

◆ ◆ ◆

"They have tailored their heroes to be demon kings as' incarnations of evil '"

◆ ◆ ◆

"Once you do it, it won't stop anymore. Seriously, the method worked, so it's superfluous. Lettel, the Demon King, was more and more affixed to the faces of other heroes. That's how a hero became the demon king of the next era."

Really, it's a terrible story.

The word demon king is like the beast skin of a demon covering something in an era.

Merea was remembering Tyrant's words.

◆ ◆ ◆

'Something similar comes up anyway. I just change my name.'

◆ ◆ ◆

Rather, it's worse than Tyrant's words.

The name remains unchanged.

In other words, the resentment that has been piled on the word 'demon king' since the previous era must be borne by those who have twisted it in the next.

Doesn't every culprit lie in the very word Demon King?

Melea even thought so.

"That was repeated, and finally the senses were paralyzed. I couldn't even bother with the name of the evil that I made up, and the word Demon King just translated into synonyms for discerning the 'mighty.'"

"Be... I see"

Hard to snort. But where I didn't snort, history doesn't change.

"It seems that such a loose standard of demon king lettel sticking is now coming down more. As the era of war progresses, I guess the limit (Saison) is becoming less favourable. I heard that from Tenryu Kurtista, and I imagined an unpleasant future diagram."

In other words:

"Melea caught on to that criterion for a future diagram described as the Demon King as soon as she descended into the lower realm"

That said, Flander smiled bitterly.

The bitter smile seemed to have some emotions on it.

Self-derision, uncut, or anger?

Besides the troublesome shades, there was something there.

"When you go down to the lower realm, you may be affixed the Letters of the Demon King because of the power of the English Spirit that dwelled in you and the power of the drill that Melea herself has piled up"

I see, and Merea was convinced.

Now, I thought I figured out why Flander's bitter laughter was filled with self-derision, uncut and anger.

I noticed that in the way I said 'The Power of the English Spirit'.

Flander thinks it's his fault.

I tried to be a hero.

I thought it would be good.

Even if I didn't have to be a hero, I grew up thinking so, trying to make him gain the power to protect someone.

But when it stacked up, the presence of Melea was becoming mighty.

Or maybe even the English Spirit didn't make it a prediction.

Merea accurately inherits and expresses, or uses, the factors of the English Spirit and stacks them in its soul.

That's how he became mighty, but therefore Melea is about to be affixed with the 'Demon King' rettel.

When I realized it, I was so naughty that I wanted to mock myself in Flander, and so uncut, and so angry about the times.

So now, in the bitter laughter that's floating around telling that story, there's a bunch of emotions that are stupid.

"Tyranny."

Melea noticed that, and that's why she didn't even know how to react, and she was answering in a light condition.

I meant to reassure Flander that I wouldn't mind, but I might not.

Perhaps whatever you say from the outside, Flander won't break that bitter laugh.

Merea had noticed that too.
