Hyaku Ma No Aruji

176 words: "Whose nightmare was it?"

"Your father went to war and died because of you."

"There would never have been so many human sacrifices without you clans!

"What a hero! You demon king who confuses people!

I heard voices.

'No! Your father was against this march! I guess you folks pushed that off without thinking!

The boy was screaming in tears in his eyes.

'Say what! Didn't your father lead the army after all? Here's the result! The tower is dead, and many people have gone back to the heavenly sea of their souls! We no longer have the power to survive the western continent in our country!

"Do we blame our father for putting our responsibility on the shelves! Oh, you guys are on your own! All you could do was freak out and tremble in the country!! '

'What...!

I was beaten.

A lot of adults kicked me.

Ouch.

But...

- Father was in more pain.

They slaughtered the flesh, crushed the bones, and set it on fire at the end of the sentence.

Even though he was responsible for the surviving soldiers, the native humans scolded him for being the Demon King.

- Convenient words. Veterinary skin (Juhi) with no entity left behind by the devil.

What was once a tragedy carved into the back of people's brains was the skin of meaning that still evokes only disgust even if they lose their entities.

If you put it in your mouth, you will feel unspoken discomfort in your body.

Somehow it was put out in my mouth, and once I made it sound, I felt like there was a bad fire in my body.

So much so that the impression of the name "Demon King" engraved on the people by the "evil demon kings" was intense.

- Even though it's just a title.

Talk about old times. A name that is only a line of sounds.

But as it was told, there dwelt an invisible force in its sound compass.

And while the masses are affected by that power, the few who are aware of this emptiness are crushed.

- What's wrong with the word "demon king"? Or is it the masses who are unaware of this ridiculous custom?

In any case, 'I' has no power to change this great society.

I don't have the power to fight it either.

But...

"... now, watch it"

Sooner or later, I will avenge you.

The masses who don't know anything.

You fools who don't even try to notice.

Put our own ignorance on the shelf and shameless our courageous heroes, you guys just have to see hell again.

And we just have to figure out how stupid and ignorant we were.

It's too late to regret it.

As descendants of what you call the Demon King, I declare war on you.

"You will perish by your deeds."

"Stop it!

Benarez-Falmud woke up with his own turned voice.

White green hair damp with sweat and perfectly stuck on cheeks.

Slightly open pupils and shallow, fast breathing.

Benarez let his gaze drift into the void for dozens of seconds, not immediately understanding that he was now on the bed either.

"Dreams…?"

It was too clear a dream.

Dreams of people cursing at me.

I even feel my belly kicked in my dreams still has a fever.

And more importantly, my determination to vow revenge against them like that was oddly strong and vivid.

"Is this... my memory?"

I don't remember before I came to Aios.

I've never dreamed of it before.

That's why I get 'anxious' that the dream I had today is a fragment of my lost memory.

"I..."

Different speculations disappeared when they were born in Benarez, and disappeared when they were born again.

I pick it up to the possibility that I don't even think I have too many heads to turn around, and it still buzzes me.

"No... this is not my memory..."

Benarez glanced over the bed, covering his face with both hands.

"Damn......"

Benarez, aware of his lack of memory but therefore not having much to do with things, was shaken by his emotions for the first time this day.

I don't know when I'll lose my memory again.

I'm sure I'm not who I was before after I lost my memory.

So I'm sure you won't be crushed by the responsibility of your choices, or by the emotional memory of the time you're lost anyway.

Though I thought so, the spirit of Hence Steel.

"This is a nightmare someone showed you."

That must be the work of the Demon King.

Benarez managed to get out of bed by pushing the blame on someone he didn't even know about.

Benarez, who made his way to the "Blue Rose School," was sitting in a seat by the classroom window looking up at the sky.

My head is full of dreams this morning, and I can't really concentrate on lectures.

Either way, everything in today's surgical lecture is already on my mind.

It won't be meaningful from what I've heard.

"That's a lot of room to say you're close to the exam, Benarez"

I was called from behind.

There's a familiar face there when Benarez turns around with his voice.

"I didn't forget to fight me."

Gilbert.

The usual neat hair and black edged glasses.

Not so bizarre looking, but your face would be neat from the same sex.

"Of course."

Benarez laughed powerlessly and answered Gilbert.

"You look pale, you. Did something bad happen this morning?"

Gilbert raised a single eyebrow and said with a rare and worrying look.

"Well, a lot."

I would have flushed it properly if it wasn't for Gilbert.

But he's the only person in this school who can tell the truth - or wants to.

I didn't mention the dream, but I put myself on the edge of the word that I was not in the normal state as it is.

"Managing your physical fitness is part of your education. Learning requires strength. It's as important as using your head to fix the flesh for it."

"Interesting rhetoric. But I think they're shooting at us."

"There's no excuse for losing because you weren't feeling well in production."

"It's okay, I'm not that shameless either."

"Lai Lai"

And again, Gilbert dropped his gaze on the book on the desk.

Benarez smiles at Gilbert only once for signaling it too and turns forward.

The lecturer was about to make a heated argument about the difficulty of a surgical ceremony that interfered with a person's consciousness.

- Yes, let's think about things nearby first.

You probably won't be able to give an answer about today's dream as it is now.

The information is too fragmented, and it's a dream in the first place.

There is no solid evidence.

- If you're curious, you can check back later.

After his lecture that day, Benarez decided to head back to that rustled library.

"You look pale today sometime, Benarez boy"

After all the lectures, Benarez, who headed to that rustled library, was called from behind the driver's desk to Cairn as soon as he crept through its entrance.

"This is the second time today."

"It's strange that they only told me that twice."

"Everyone else doesn't really see my face."

"Or even if I saw it, I'd look through the color glasses, bye. When I was younger, you were a beautiful man."

That's what I said with a lot of tea, and Cairn came from the back.

The gray beard has some dust on it and it looks bigoted sometime.

"What about Sally?

When Benarez asked about the location of that golden dog, the second custodian of this library, Caion pointed to the window of the library.

By the terrace seat facing the courtyard, Sally is still sleeping comfortably today.

"That old dog ate a lot of years too. It's time for the tide."

"Sally's still fine. Otherwise I'll be in trouble."

"You're too attached to that dog. Nothing is unchanged. There's nothing to move about. Especially when it comes to life."

……

Darkly informed of Sally's death, Benarez felt sinking.

"Let me stay here for a bit today"

"I don't mind. Anyway, there are no other visitors besides you. Was the new guy's library in full swing?

"Yeah, we're all going over there after the lecture. References are taken up in everyday tea meals."

"Ha, it's good to have a lot of enthusiastic students."

Benarez walks out to the terrace seat with Sally, taking the appropriate book that was on the nearby bookshelf.

"Benarez boy, there's something I was going to say today"

Then from the back side, Cairn spoke to me.

"What?

When Benarez turned half-hearted and asked, Caion looked straight at Benarez and said:

"I'm leaving this school soon."

"Huh...?

At first Benarez could not believe the words.

"Well, more or less the books in this library have also finished moving to the new library. Of which this place is demolished and used for another purpose. That's where my role ends."

"Oh no..."

"I ate my age just like that old dog. I thought I'd do the clerk here if I were a little younger, but I'm not listening to my body. So it's time to go home."

Says Cairn as he deliberately slaps his hips as he begins to bend.

"Too bad..."

"Don't say that. You have a future. If you hang out too old, you're gonna lose your temper."

Cairn, jokingly speaking, looked very weak to Benarez.

Benarez finally figured out why that old man, who was bigoted, stubborn and even had some strength, was trying to run out of that vibe.

"Well, there's a lot left to worry about."

This old man used to tell the story.

Once upon a time, there were students who could not be saved.

Benarez asked about it several times, but Cairn never told me about it.

"Then say it when you go home. I'll drop you off."

"Don't worry about me. All you have to do is do what you can now. I don't know what to tell you."

Perhaps this old man won't teach.

Soon, you'll be gone without saying anything.

That's what Cairn was like.

"Um."

And that was then.

A woman's voice rises from the entrance to the library.

It belongs to some girl who seems like a strong mind.

But the voice had a strange charm to attract.

When Benarez and Cairn turn their voices at the same time...

"Here, are you still doing this?

There stood a girl with long dark hair and burning red eyes.
