Chapter 86: Teacher Ruan Refused To Accept Her Into The Classroom
Seeing just how fiercely determined Qiao Meixia was to maintain her independence, Jiang Suhan could only sigh helplessly and give up his stance.
"Fine... Fine... I yield to you." Jiang Suhan sighed, a helpless but affectionate smile gracing his face. "But at the very least, promise me you will send a quick text message to my private line the moment you have arrived safely inside your classroom."
Qiao Meixia gave a calm nod of agreement.
Only then did Jiang Suhan finally return to his vehicle, start the engine, and drive away toward his corporate headquarters. Meanwhile, Qiao Meixia turned around and calmly, elegantly walked toward the grand school entrance.
Many students huddled in small groups, whispering intensely among themselves as they watched her striking, unbothered figure pass by. Among the crowd of onlookers was Chen Xiaoqing. Having arrived early, she had witnessed the entire tender, deeply protective way Jiang Suhan treated Qiao Meixia from start to finish, and she instinctively compared it with the cold, distant way the young CEO usually treated Jiang Yanna.
The staggering difference between the two treatments was obvious at a single glance. If it were not for the undeniable fact that Qiao Meixia and Jiang Suhan clearly shared remarkably similar, striking facial features, she might have instantly mistaken Qiao Meixia for Jiang Suhan’s secret high-society girlfriend.
Chen Xiaoqing entered the luxurious classroom and immediately spotted Jiang Yanna sitting gracefully at her desk, chatting amiably with Jin Zexi. A deeply meaningful, highly amused smile appeared on her face as she strutted over to their desks.
"Yo, Jiang Yanna... I just happened to spot your eldest brother out by the main gates a moment ago." Chen Xiaoqing said, her voice dripping with deliberate curiosity.
"What? My eldest brother? Why on earth is he here at the campus on a weekday morning?" Jiang Yanna asked, her perfect composure slipping as she blinked in genuine surprise.
"Oh, I think he drove all this way specifically to drop off your mysterious twin sister. It looks like your long-lost twin sister will be officially studying here alongside us now." Chen Xiaoqing stated, watching her rival’s face like a hawk.
"Drop her off personally?!" Jiang Yanna blurted out, her voice rising noticeably by several octaves, entirely losing its gentle cadence for a split second.
Chen Xiaoqing and the surrounding wealthy students immediately noticed the abrupt, panicked change in her tone.
"What’s with the face, Jiang Yanna? Your reaction seems a little... extreme, don’t you think?" Chen Xiaoqing chuckled mischievously, her eyes gleaming with absolute delight.
She deliberately left her sentence hanging unfinished in the air. Nevertheless, everyone present in the classroom understood exactly what her mocking tone was implying.
Jiang Yanna immediately realised that she had majorly slipped up and exposed her internal panic. She quickly adjusted her facial expressions, forcing a gentle, serene, and perfectly flawless smile back onto her face to cover the blunder.
"What are you thinking, Xiaoqing? I am simply surprised and touched that my busy eldest brother would personally take the time out of his corporate schedule to send her to school." Jiang Yanna explained smoothly, her voice sweet and warm.
"Oh, really? I bet you and Chinan deliberately left your twin sister behind at the mansion this morning. That’s exactly why your eldest brother had no choice but to bring her here himself." Chen Xiaoqing guessed casually, tossing her hair.
Unfortunately for Jiang Yanna, Chen Xiaoqing’s sharp gossip instincts had guessed the absolute, unvarnished truth of the matter. However, there was absolutely no universe in which the proud Jiang Yanna would ever admit to such low-class behaviour in public.
"Don’t be ridiculous. I usually commute to school with my younger brother, so in the rush of the morning routine, I simply, foolishly forgot that my twin sister was also officially starting school today." Jiang Yanna replied smoothly, her tone filled with self-reproach as she deliberately steered the conversation away from the dangerous topic.
Chen Xiaoqing chuckled softly, adjusting her luxury watch. "Well, I certainly hope you don’t magically forget her presence again tomorrow."
Meanwhile, walking through the massive corridors, Qiao Meixia suddenly realised a highly logistical flaw. She had absolutely no idea which specific classroom number she had been assigned to by the administration. So, instead of wandering aimlessly, she shifted her trajectory and headed directly toward Vice Principal Zhang Yong’s executive office to resolve the matter.
The exact moment the administrative secretary saw Qiao Meixia approaching the desk, her professional face lit up with a pleasantly surprised look before she stood up and greeted her with an exceptionally warm smile.
"Oh, Student Qiao! What brings you to the administration wing so early? Are you looking specifically for Vice Principal Zhang?" The secretary asked with profound politeness, fully aware of the girl’s perfect-score status from yesterday.
"Yes. Actually, I still don’t know which classroom I have been officially assigned to, so I came to ask him for the directory." Qiao Meixia explained flatly.
"I see, I see!" The secretary nodded with deep understanding, ushering her forward. "Vice Principal Zhang is currently inside his office. Come right with me. I will personally take you to him."
The secretary led Qiao Meixia down the private hallway to Vice Principal Zhang Yong’s heavy door before knocking gently and precisely. After hearing the muffled, deep voice of the vice principal telling them to come in from the inside, she smoothly opened the door.
"Vice Principal Zhang, Student Qiao is here to see you." the secretary informed him respectfully, stepping aside.
Vice Principal Zhang Yong looked up from his stacks of paperwork, a look of pleasant surprise crossing his face when he saw Qiao Meixia standing calmly at the doorway.
"Student Qiao! Welcome, why are you here so early?" Vice Principal Zhang Yong asked, quickly setting his pen down.
"I don’t know which classroom I have been assigned to, so I came to ask you about it." Qiao Meixia replied, getting straight to the point as usual.
"Oh..." Vice Principal Zhang Yong lightly slapped his own forehead in a rare moment of academic forgetfulness. "Look at my memory! I completely forgot to hand you the physical routing slip yesterday during all the excitement. Your classroom placement has already been perfectly arranged by the department heads. Wait a single moment, please take a seat. I will call your new homeroom teacher over immediately."
He pulled the landline phone toward him, immediately dialled an internal extension, and made a swift call.
About fifteen minutes of quiet waiting passed before another precise knock echoed on the office door, and it was smoothly opened from the outside. A dignified, middle-aged woman wearing a sharp professional suit and a pair of gold-rimmed glasses walked into the spacious office.
The moment her eyes landed on the vice principal, she respectfully bowed her head toward Zhang Yong in a formal greeting, completely unaware that the transcendent genius student everyone in the senior faculty had been passionately discussing was quietly standing beside his desk. Having just returned from a mandatory two-day academic leave, she knew absolutely nothing about the explosive events and perfect-score Olympiad papers that had transpired over the past forty-eight hours.
"Teacher Ruan, I want you to accept this student into your class..." Vice Principal Zhang Yong began, intending to properly introduce Qiao Meixia’s extraordinary credentials.
However, before he could even finish his sentence, Teacher Ruan cut him off without the slightest hesitation.
"Vice Principal Zhang, my class is already completely full." Teacher Ruan, whose full name was Ruan Leiwei, stated crisply, holding her chin high.
"But this student’s academic profile is..." Vice Principal Zhang Yong tried once again to explain Qiao Meixia’s unique situation.
"Vice Principal Zhang, please arrange for her to enrol in another teacher’s class instead." Ruan Leiwei rejected the direct request for the second time, shutting down the conversation before Zhang Yong could even finish speaking.
Vice Principal Zhang Yong let out a long, helpless sigh, looking at her with a mixture of pity and disbelief.
"Fine... Fine... Fine" Vice Principal Zhang Yong said with a resigned nod, leaning back in his executive chair. "But remember this moment, Teacher Ruan. You are the one who explicitly and repeatedly rejected her."
"Don’t worry, Vice Principal. I will remember it clearly." Ruan Leiwei nodded with brimming confidence, her tone dripping with subtle superiority. "If there is nothing else requiring my attention, please excuse me. I have an elite class to prep."
After delivering that icy dismissal, she gave another curt, polite nod before turning around on her high heels and strutting out of the office. The moment she stepped outside into the hallway and closed the door behind her, Ruan Leiwei rolled her eyes in intense annoyance.
