"Its Life Force is really tenacious."

Gauss couldn’t help letting out a sigh.

A normal Level 7 goblin would probably be killed on the spot by the "Thousand Threads Severing Realm" he just cast, unable to last even a few seconds.

But construct armor was different; their unique form of life meant they almost had no vital points.

To completely kill them, you had to unleash damage beyond their tolerance limit in an extremely short time, not giving them any chance to replenish energy, burning out all the special Magic Power inside them.

Gauss glanced at the Commander Level Demon page in the Monster Atlas; after killing this construct armor, the number of Commander Level Demon species he had accumulated had reached fourteen.

He was one step closer to the stage of twenty Commander Level Demons needed to obtain a new purple-quality Racial Talent.

After the commotion ended, Gauss picked up the construct armor’s helmet with interest.

On the inside of this suit of armor, extremely complex Magic Power patterns were engraved.

He felt these ancient Magic Power patterns were very valuable for research.

But now was not the time for research, so after a brief observation, he put all the armor components into his storage space.

"Um... thank you for saving us!"

The other few people cautiously poked their heads out from behind their cover.

When they saw the construct armor was already gone, and that handsome man in the distance was looking their way, one of them spoke up to give thanks.

"It was nothing."

Gauss nodded.

Under normal circumstances, he would choose to help other weak Adventurers out in the wild.

In fact, this was not the first time; to him, scenes like this were already commonplace.

The others from the Red Dragon Team also walked over at this time.

"Serdur, heal their ears for them."

"Alright, Captain."

Seeing the few people hesitate to speak, Gauss had Serdur step in to heal them.

A ruptured eardrum was not a particularly troublesome treatment for him; it could be healed very easily.

As Serdur made his move, a vibrant green light of Life Force enveloped the areas around their ears.

After a few minutes, their ears had returned to normal, and Serdur also took the opportunity to treat the scrapes on their arms and knees.

After finishing the treatment, Gauss pointed out the direction of the third floor’s exit for them.

He then continued forward along the predetermined route.

He practically crossed over half of the third-floor Maze map, and by the time evening approached, Gauss arrived at the entrance leading to the fourth floor.

"Let’s find a place to rest."

Gauss did not rush to enter, but instead had the team find an open space nearby to set up camp.

They had also gone through many battles today, fighting all the way from the first floor to the entrance leading to the fourth floor.

"Total monsters killed: 39,540."

In this single day of entering the Maze, he had killed as many as three thousand Demons; this speed could not be called slow.

This was partly his own contribution, but also owed a lot to the others’ efforts; over the long march, the others had contributed quite a few kills as well.

Gauss sank into the depths of his consciousness, and a trace of oddness flashed across his expression.

His Magic Power cup had become incomparably full; clearly, he was not far from a breakthrough.

So fast? Was this the effect of the Maze? Even Gauss was a bit surprised.

Unfortunately, he still felt just a little short.

Gauss took a deep breath and didn’t pay it too much mind; this tiny gap, compared to when they reached the fourth floor tomorrow and found that Fourth Floor Lord to encircle and suppress, could be filled by rapidly slaughtering other Demons.

Thinking of this, he took out the iron plate again to check it.

"4.89%"

The number on it had risen quite a bit as well.

From his research that afternoon, Gauss had also discovered that this should indeed be something like an exploration percentage, but the number was not completely tied to map exploration; killing monsters could also push this number forward.
