Gauss speculated that Hephaestus might enjoy the secrecy of dragon language, as others wouldn’t understand, especially since dragon language is a higher-level language, almost no magic can decipher it.

Dragons are proud creatures, perhaps it didn’t want anyone to overhear its conversations with Gauss, which occasionally included many teachings and guidance from Gauss as a mentor, coupled with moments of Hephaestus’s playful charm, making it somewhat embarrassing for the dragon.

With this understanding, Gauss continued to communicate in dragon language to preserve its pride.
