Hunting an Extraordinary demon is essential for Gauss because it concerns the timing of acquiring his first golden-quality talent.
As with the previous acquisition of blue and purple quality talents, when he hunts his first Extraordinary demon, he will inevitably gain Extraordinary Points to advance his talents.

Up until now, Gauss has only personally battled with two Extraordinary Level combatants.
One of whom, Cecilia the Extraordinary Dragon Priestess, is human, so the only demon encountered was the Extraordinary Centaur in Black Water Town’s urban area recently, and besides this one, there are no other Extraordinary demons.
In other words, his only known suitable target right now is that centaur.
One might ask, why not be proactive in searching for more suitable Extraordinary demons? But this matter is quite difficult.
If he could freely choose, he would certainly pick, for safety reasons, an opponent at the weakest level of the Extraordinary stage, namely targets that have only recently advanced to Level 11, to kickstart his "Extraordinary Path."
