Chapter 65: Ch 65- Large Base
"Reaching a large base isn’t easy," Mu Jin explained.
"The large base is roughly six hundred kilometers away from Dong Hai Base. However, the distance itself isn’t the biggest problem."
Mo Yuan listened carefully.
"Between the two bases is a huge wilderness area. If someone doesn’t know the route and wanders off even slightly, they can easily get lost. Once that happens, they might enter the territory of high-level or even Peak Level beasts."
Mu Jin’s expression became serious.
"Even an Origin Soul Realm cultivator shouldn’t casually travel through that area alone. There are many powerful beasts living there and some of them are far stronger than ordinary Origin Soul Realm cultivators."
Mo Yuan nodded.
He had already expected the journey to be dangerous.
"But you don’t have to worry about that," Mu Jin continued.
"Every month, a convoy is sent from the large base to Dong Hai Base. The main purpose of the convoy is to transport and trade resources between the two bases."
"Resources?"
"Yes."
Mu Jin nodded.
"Some resources are difficult or impossible to obtain in a smaller base. If someone from Dong Hai Base needs something that isn’t available here, they can inform the Martial Hall."
"We will then purchase the item from the large base and bring it here with the next convoy. Of course, there is a commission fee for the service."
Mo Yuan’s eyes lit up slightly.
"So I can use the Martial Hall to buy things from the large base?"
"Exactly."
Mu Jin smiled.
"The Martial Hall has connections with many large bases. As long as you can afford the price, there are many things we can help you obtain."
Mo Yuan nodded.
This was quite useful.
If he wanted to stay in Dong Hai Base for a long time, the Martial Hall’s connection with the large base would save him a lot of trouble.
"I understand."
Mo Yuan thought for a moment before asking, "When is the next convoy leaving?"
Mu Jin paused.
"This month’s convoy has already left."
Mo Yuan frowned slightly.
"So I have to wait until next month?"
"Yes."
Mu Jin nodded.
"The next convoy should arrive sometime next month. When the exact date is confirmed, I’ll let you know."
However, after saying this, Mu Jin’s expression suddenly became awkward.
He looked at Mo Yuan. Then he looked at the mask covering Mo Yuan’s face.
He had just realized a problem that he didn’t know how to contact Mo Yuan.
Mo Yuan noticed his expression and immediately understood.
"Ah, sorry about that."
He laughed.
"I forgot that I’m still wearing this mask."
Mo Yuan reached up and removed the black mask from his face. There was no longer any reason for him to hide his identity.
At this point, he was already the strongest person in Dong Hai Base.
Even the Lin Family’s ancestor, who was a Peak Level Origin Soul Realm cultivator, didn’t make him feel threatened.
If that ancestor really came back and wanted revenge, Mo Yuan believed he would have become even stronger by then.
So there was nothing to fear.
The mask came off, revealing a young and handsome face.
Mu Jin stared at him. Although he had already guessed that Mo Yuan was very young from his voice, seeing his actual face still shocked him.
He had expected Mo Yuan to be young, but he hadn’t expected him to look this young.
"You’re really young..."
Mu Jin couldn’t help muttering.
Mo Yuan smiled.
"Is that surprising?"
Mu Jin quickly shook his head.
"No, it’s just..."
He didn’t know how to explain it.
A young man who looked to be barely in his twenties had killed five Peak Level Origin Sea Realm cultivators in seconds and even killed Lin Fan, an Origin Soul Realm cultivator.
It was difficult to believe.
Mo Yuan didn’t care about his reaction. He stood up and extended his hand.
"Hello, I’m Mo Yuan."
Mu Jin looked at the outstretched hand for a moment before smiling.
"Hello, Mo Yuan. I’m Mu Jin."
He extended his hand as well.
The two shook hands and Mu Jin finally knew the real identity of the mysterious young man he had met tonight.
After finishing his conversation with Mu Jin, Mo Yuan left the Martial Hall and returned home.
It was already 7 am in the morning by the time he arrived.
Mo Yuan opened the door and immediately saw a familiar scene. Mo Ran was currently cooking noodles, while the Void Cat was comfortably sitting on her shoulder.
The moment Mo Ran noticed Mo Yuan, she looked over and smiled.
"Brother, you’re back!"
Mo Yuan nodded.
"Yeah."
Mo Ran picked up another bowl and asked, "Brother, would you like to eat some noodles?"
She had just finished preparing them and steam was still rising from the bowl.
Mo Yuan shook his head.
"No, I’m not hungry."
Then he looked at his sister for a moment before speaking.
"Also, get ready."
Mo Ran blinked.
"Get ready for what?"
"In one month, we’re leaving Dong Hai Base."
Mo Ran’s expression became confused.
"Leaving?"
"Yes."
Mo Yuan nodded.
"We’re going to a large base."
"A large base?"
Mo Ran had heard about large bases before, but she had never been there.
"Why are we going there, Brother?"
"Dong Hai Base is too small for us now."
Mo Yuan walked over and patted her head.
"A large base has much better facilities and more resources. It is also much safer than Dong Hai Base."
He paused for a moment before adding, "There are many more powerful cultivators there as well. If we stay here, it will be difficult for you to grow stronger."
Mo Ran thought about it for a few seconds before nodding.
"Okay, Brother."
She trusted Mo Yuan completely. If he said that they should move to a large base, then she would go with him.
The Void Cat also looked at Mo Yuan curiously from Mo Ran’s shoulder.
Mo Yuan glanced at the little black cat.
"Kitty, you’ll come with us too."
"Meow!"
The Void Cat immediately answered happily.
Mo Yuan smiled.
"Good."
After telling Mo Ran about their plan, Mo Yuan didn’t stay outside for long and walked toward his room
Now that he had decided to leave Dong Hai Base, he needed to make full use of the remaining month.
