Chapter 46: Ch 46- Void Cat
Five days later.
Mo Yuan was standing on top of a tall tree, looking around to see if he could spot any Phantom Foxes.
Silverpine Forest was indeed beautiful. The tall silver-colored trees covered the entire forest, and their shining leaves reflected the sunlight, making the whole place look almost like a silver ocean.
Even Mo Yuan was slightly mesmerized by the scenery but he quickly came back to his senses.
"I should focus on finding the Phantom Fox."
Mo Yuan began searching around the forest.
During the search, he encountered quite a few low-level and Intermediate-level beasts. However, none of them could pose any threat to him. Whenever he encountered one, he simply killed it and continued searching.
Several hours passed but Mo Yuan still couldn’t find any trace of a Phantom Fox.
He frowned slightly.
"I should wait until night."
According to the information he had obtained from the Martial Hall, Phantom Foxes were extremely cautious beasts. They usually avoided appearing during the day and often came out at night.
They also liked to live inside large trees, creating holes in the trunks and using them as their homes.
"I should also check the trees."
Mo Yuan started moving through the forest, carefully checking the large trees around him.
Soon, the sky gradually became dark. Night fell over Silverpine Forest.
The silver leaves began shining under the moonlight, making the entire forest look even more beautiful.
Mo Yuan continued searching.
He found several holes inside different trees, but most of them were empty. Some even had other beasts living inside them.
Time slowly passed.
Before he realized it, it was already midnight. While searching, Mo Yuan suddenly noticed a particularly large tree with a hole in its trunk.
He stopped.
"There might be something inside."
Mo Yuan quietly approached the tree.
He wasn’t worried about alerting whatever beast was inside.
With Shadow Talent activated, he was completely hidden within the shadows. Unless the beast possessed some special ability to detect him, it would be impossible for it to notice his presence.
Mo Yuan entered the hole and carefully looked inside.
The space was much larger than he expected but the moment he saw what was inside, his eyes widened slightly.
"What’s this?"
There was a cat-like beast quietly sleeping inside the tree.
It had a pair of cute eyes and a small body that was barely thirty centimeters long. At first glance, it looked harmless, almost like an ordinary cat but when Mo Yuan checked its information, his expression instantly changed.

Space Talent: Secondary Grade (Unawakened)
Mo Yuan stared at the information for several seconds.
"Holy shit, what the hell did I just find?"
His eyes were filled with surprise.
"What is this Void Cat? I haven’t even heard about this kind of beast in the Beast Compendium."
This was the first time Mo Yuan had ever seen such a beast.
Its bloodline talent was already Peak Grade, and it possessed an Ultimate Grade Speed Talent. More importantly, it also had a Secondary Grade Space Talent.
Unfortunately, the Space Talent had not awakened yet.
"Space Talent..."
Mo Yuan’s eyes became serious.
A Space Talent was extremely rare. Even though this one had not awakened yet, its value was still unimaginable.
"As for its current strength, it’s only a Low-level beast."
Mo Yuan looked at the small black cat.
"It probably survived until now because of its Ultimate Grade Speed Talent."
Even if it could not defeat stronger beasts, it could always run away.

The moment his figure appeared, the black cat immediately woke up.

The Void Cat did not run. Instead, it slowly walked toward him.
"Meow."
Mo Yuan was stunned. The small black cat walked all the way to his leg and looked up at him while meowing.
It was almost as if it was asking him to pet it.
"What?"
Mo Yuan was completely dumbfounded.
This beast wasn’t scared of him at all. After hesitating for a moment, Mo Yuan bent down and gently stroked its head.
"Aww, what a cute kitty."
The Void Cat narrowed its eyes comfortably.
At the same time, Mo Yuan activated his Copy Talent. A strange feeling passed through his body.

Ultimate Grade Speed Talent obtained.
Mo Yuan’s eyes lit up.
He had finally obtained it but before he could even examine his new talent, something even more unexpected happened.
The Void Cat suddenly climbed up his body and jumped onto his shoulder. Then it curled itself up and fell asleep.
Mo Yuan stood there completely stunned.
"Did I just get a pet?"
He looked at the sleeping black cat on his shoulder.
"And this pet has such terrifying potential?"
If the Void Cat’s Space Talent awakened in the future, its potential would be even more frightening.
"With this bloodline and talent, it can probably become at least a Peak-level beast in the future."
Mo Yuan smiled.
"Looks like I got lucky this time."
However, he still needed a safe place to fuse his new talent.
"I should find a cave first."
Mo Yuan left the tree with the Void Cat still sleeping on his shoulder.
After searching for some time, he finally found a suitable cave nearby. He entered the cave and sat down.
The little Void Cat remained peacefully asleep on his shoulder.
Mo Yuan looked at it and smiled.
"Let’s see how powerful this Ultimate Grade Speed Talent really is."
