Chapter 48: Ch 48- A New Family Member
One day later, Mo Yuan finally returned to Dong Hai Base.
With his astonishing speed, the journey that would normally take several days was completed in just one day. Even though he was not traveling at his maximum speed the entire time, his Ultimate Grade Speed Talent still made the journey incredibly easy.
When he reached the base gate, Mo Yuan slowed down and walked inside.
The guards at the gate immediately sensed his aura.
However, none of them dared to stop him.
One of the guards watched Mo Yuan’s back as he walked away and couldn’t help but mutter, "Who was that? He’s so young, but his aura is so scary."
The other guard glanced at him.
"Who knows? Considering his young appearance and his strength, he must be a genius from some powerful family."
"Yeah, probably."
After saying that, the two guards quickly returned to their normal conversation.
Meanwhile, Mo Yuan had already arrived home.
The moment he entered, Mo Ran noticed him.
"Brother, you’re back!"
She immediately walked over to greet him but then she noticed something sitting on his shoulder.
It was a small black cat, Mo Ran’s eyes instantly lit up.
"Brother, where did you get this cat from? She’s so cute!"
Before Mo Yuan could even answer, the Void Cat suddenly jumped off his shoulder. It landed directly in Mo Ran’s arms and comfortably curled up against her.
Mo Yuan was stunned.
"This guy... He ran into your arms so fast."
Mo Ran looked at him strangely.
"Brother, she’s a girl."
"Oh."
Mo Yuan nodded.
"Yeah, whatever."
Mo Ran ignored his careless attitude and started gently stroking the Void Cat’s soft fur.
"Brother, what’s her name?"
Mo Yuan scratched his head, he had never thought about giving the Void Cat a name.
"Well... I haven’t thought about that."
Mo Yuan thought for a moment before his eyes lit up.
"Then let’s call her Kitty!"
Mo Ran’s expression immediately became strange.
"Kitty?"
Even the Void Cat seemed to understand what had just happened.
"Meow! Meow!"
She immediately started protesting.
Mo Ran looked at the cat in her arms and then at her brother.
"Look, brother! Even she doesn’t like her new name."
Mo Yuan couldn’t help but laugh. He looked at the little Void Cat’s annoyed expression.
"Alright, alright. Then you decide."
Mo Ran smiled happily and continued playing with the cat.
Mo Yuan watched the scene for a moment.
He had originally planned to simply copy the Void Cat’s Ultimate Grade Speed Talent and leave it behind but somehow, he had ended up bringing it home and now, it had already become a member of his family.
Mo Yuan shook his head with a smile.
"Looks like we have a new member in the house."
"Okay, you can play with her later. First, let’s eat breakfast. Also, don’t forget to decide her name."
Mo Ran nodded happily.
"Okay brother!"
The two of them soon sat down and had breakfast together, with the little Void Cat staying close to Mo Ran. The cat seemed to have already become attached to her, and Mo Yuan couldn’t help but feel that bringing it home might have been the right decision.
After breakfast, Mo Yuan returned to his cultivation chamber while Mo Ran stayed outside and continued playing with the cat.
Once inside, Mo Yuan closed the door and sat down cross-legged.
He then brought up his talent panel.
Human: Mo Yuan
Cultivation Talent: Peak Grade
Speed Talent: Ultimate Grade
Saber Talent: Superior Grade
Shadow Talent: Standard Grade
Strength Talent: Peak Grade
Regeneration Talent: Ultimate Grade
Looking at his talents, Mo Yuan felt quite satisfied.
His strength, speed, healing ability, and other talents were already extremely powerful. But there was still one thing he wanted to improve.
"My next goal should be to improve my Cultivation Talent."
During the time when Mo Yuan had no suitable talent to copy, he had basically copied every Superior Grade Cultivation Talent he could find and stacked them together.
After continuously fusing those talents, his Cultivation Talent had finally reached Peak Grade.
However, it still wasn’t enough.
"I only need one more Peak Grade Cultivation Talent."
Mo Yuan’s eyes became serious.
"Once I get one more Peak Grade talent, I should be able to upgrade my Peak Grade Cultivation Talent to Ultimate Grade."
The difference between Peak Grade and Ultimate Grade was huge.
With his current Peak Grade Cultivation Talent, Mo Yuan estimated that his chances of reaching the Origin Soul Realm were around forty percent.
As for reaching a realm above the Origin Soul Realm, it was almost impossible with his current talent but if he obtained an Ultimate Grade Cultivation Talent, everything would change.
"Once I get an Ultimate Grade Cultivation Talent, my chances of reaching the Origin Soul Realm should become almost 99%."
"And I should also have a chance of reaching an even higher realm."
Mo Yuan became excited just thinking about it.
The higher his cultivation talent, the faster he could cultivate and the greater his potential would be.
After thinking for a while, Mo Yuan stopped wasting time.
He immediately began cultivating.
During his journey back to Dong Hai Base, he had hunted several Advance-level beasts. The beast blood and materials he had obtained should be enough for around ten days of cultivation.
Ten days wasn’t a long time for a cultivator.
After that, he would have to go back into the wilderness and hunt more beasts.
"For now, I need to reach the Peak Origin Core Realm as soon as possible."
Mo Yuan closed his eyes and started circulating his cultivation technique.
At the same time, he made his next goal clear.
"First, I’ll reach the Peak Origin Core Realm."
"Then I’ll find a Peak Grade Cultivation Talent."
"After that, I’ll upgrade my Cultivation Talent to Ultimate Grade."
As the energy from the Advanced-level beast blood entered his body, Mo Yuan slowly entered a deep state of cultivation.
His strength continued to increase little by little.
For Mo Yuan, the next period of time would be a period of rapid improvement.
