I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means

Chapter 1800 - 978: Entering Wilderness City (2)

Lis chuckled and said:

"It’s presumptuous of me not to notify you in advance."

"I am Lis Kain, here in the Wilderness City to meet with the Oak Council for some matters."

"So it is Saint Lis."

The elder looked at Lis and bowed slightly.

The young girl beside him looked surprised, her eyes filled with curiosity as she gazed at Lis.

"Hmm."

Lis nodded slightly.

He could sense that both individuals before him had legendary strength.

However, the elder’s strength was much deeper, carrying a sense of years of accumulation.

On the other hand, the girl’s aura was somewhat unstable, probably having just recently broken through to legendary status.

"I am Nolan, and this is Audette."

The elder pointed to the young girl beside him and said to Lis.

"May I ask what brings you, Saint, to the Wilderness Capital?"

Nolan said respectfully.

He had to be respectful, as Lis’s ascension to demigod was intelligence already known by many extraordinary forces, including the Oak Council.

For any extraordinary force, a demigod’s presence is of utmost honor.

After all, demigods are already the pinnacle existence in the Gaia World.

Demigods are extremely rare; not every Divine Church even possesses one.

Let alone, Lis was the first Arcanist to break through to demigod.

Even though he likely broke through via the Path to Divinity, it was still worthy of reverence.

In the presence of a demigod strongman, regardless of age, one dared not show any pride.

"I have business with Miles."

Lis nodded and said directly.

The Wild Beast Miles is the only demigod druid in the Oak Council and also the Favored of the Father of Oak.

You could say that within the Oak Council, Miles represented the Father of Oak’s will.

If the Father of Oak had indeed left a gift for Lis, it would likely be handed over through this person.

However, Lis, though aware of this demigod, had not met him before.

Hence, he contacted the Oak Council’s legends first.

"No problem."

Nolan nodded.

The arrival of this demigod Saint Lis must naturally be notified to Lord Miles.

"Lord Lis, please follow me."

Nolan led the way, with Lis following him into the Wilderness City.

Audette walked beside Lis, occasionally casting curious glances.

After all, for the Oak Council, Lis, as the World Tree Favored, was also a person worthy of respect and closeness.

Especially for Audette, who had just achieved legendary status; it was her first time seeing an outside demigod while residing in the Wilderness City.

Long ago, she had heard of Lis’s renowned name.

Lis was also one of the strong figures Audette admired, with the possibility of becoming a Divine in the future, growing as mighty as the Father of Oak.

Entering the Wilderness City, many looked in the direction of Lis.

In the Oak Council, both Audette and Nolan were undoubtedly powerful figures.

Nolan, with considerable age, could be considered one of the most senior.

Having stayed in the Wilderness City for a long time teaching young generations, many held respect for him.

In the Oak Council, Nolan was among the few closest to the Wild Beast.

The other, Audette, was also a prominent figure in the wilderness city.

Since she appeared in the Wilderness City, she was always the most outstanding among her peers.

Coupled with her dazzling appearance and captivating figure, she became the most eye-catching in the Wilderness City.

Especially not long ago, after achieving legendary status and becoming a member of the council, she became even more renowned.

Now, these two legends accompanied this young man.

Moreover, they appeared to have great respect for the young man.

This left others quite puzzled.

Who was this person?

To receive such treatment from the council?

So young, could he be a Divine Son of some deity?

Many speculated, but Lis paid little attention to these.

Led by Nolan, Lis suddenly stopped, looking towards the center of the Wilderness City.

There stood an extremely conspicuous oak tree.

It was tall and stately, its trunk thick enough to need dozens to encircle it.

Compared to the surrounding oaks, it stood like a crane among chickens, exuding a magnificent aura.

As if it was the indomitable ruler of this oak grove, proudly overlooking everything around.

The oak’s leaves were lush and dense, its layers shimmering with emerald light under the sun.

A gentle breeze swept through, the leaves swayed softly, making rustling sounds as if whispering about the long ages it had witnessed.

Lis noted that the oak carried the aura of the Father of Oak, Sirnavis.

Lis pointed to the oak and asked Nolan:

"What is that?"

Nolan looked in the direction Lis pointed, nodding:

"You must have sensed that oak’s uniqueness."

"That is the Holy Tree of the Wilderness City, a gift bestowed upon the council by the great Father of Oak."

"Because of this Holy Tree, so many extraordinary oaks gradually grew in the Wilderness City, shielding us."

"However, the most mysterious by far is this Holy Tree."

"Companions from the association, when under the oak, receive the Father of Oak’s blessing, making it easier to comprehend the extraordinary abilities of professions like druids and rangers."

"Occasionally, some receive power granted by the Father of Oak from the Holy Tree."

"Like Audette, she received such power."

Audette nodded beside him, looking somewhat proud.

Receiving blessings and power meant recognition from the Father of Oak.

For the Transcendents in the Oak Council, this was the highest honor.

"I understand now."

Lis nodded, not inquiring further.

He was intrigued by the Holy Tree but wasn’t in a hurry.

Nolan led Lis to a refined treehouse beneath an oak in the center of the Wilderness City, speaking to Lis:

"Lord Lis, please wait here; I will notify Lord Miles immediately."

"If you need anything, just let us know."

"Audette, stay here with Lord Lis."

"Yes."

Audette nodded, all traces of previous hostility gone.

"Very well."

Lis wasn’t in a rush, instead surveying the small house before him.

This wooden house carried the druid’s style of closeness to nature.

The furniture seemed to grow directly from the house itself, and even blossoms adorned the walls and windowsills in similar fashion.

Radiant and vivid, pulsating with life!

Lis turned around, noticing Audette beside him watching curiously.

"Seems like you have some questions?"

Lis asked with a smile.

Though Audette looked a bit bashful, she nodded repeatedly.

"Alright, go ahead!"

Lis said directly.

He knew Audette from before; she was one of the most shining figures of recent times.

Even before Lis’s rebirth, there were rumors that Audette might achieve divinity in the next iteration.

Though this was speculation from the players, it corroborated the rapid rise of Audette’s strength.

"I heard, Lord Lis, that you have ties with the great Father of Oak and even stopped the Beastman Main God Gushu for you?"

Audette asked, somewhat excited.

"This news has already reached here?"

Lis was a bit surprised but quickly understood.

Though Wilderness City was far from Kane Floating City, and general news wouldn’t typically reach here.

But this was the first appearance of the Father of Oak after countless years, crucial intelligence for the Oak Council who followed the Father of Oak.

No wonder, upon hearing his introduction, both Nolan’s and Audette’s attitudes became so favorable.

After all, the person before them was an acquaintance of their leader!
