Chapter 1789 - 973: Beastman Conquering God Yinavu
Kane Floating City,
Lis was at this moment staying in the core of Kane Floating City, around Miserla’s Core.
Endless Magic Power surged out from within Miserla’s Core, swirling around Lis.
Boundless Magic Power continuously poured into Lis’s body.
And Lis was like a bottomless pit, ceaselessly Devouring the Magic Power of Miserla’s Core.
As he kept Devouring Magic Power, dull booming sounds would occasionally resound from within Lis’s body.
These sounds were like the clashing roars that rise from the Earth when it quakes.
The air around Lis was trembling faintly.
As though some terrifying collision were taking place inside Lis’s body.
However, Lis’s expression remained unchanged, as if he felt no abnormality at all.
At this moment, Lis was mobilizing Kane Floating City’s Magic Power to wear away the Abyssal Curse in his body.
This was destined to be a long and painful process.
After all, Lis needed to continuously stimulate the Abyssal Curse, keeping it in an activated Status, only then could he use controlled Magic Power to grind the curse down.
Because the entire process of eroding the Abyssal Curse took place within Lis’s body, the sensation was as if his flesh had become the most violent battlefield.
Tearing agony spread through Lis’s body.
Even so, Lis’s expression did not change much.
He had endured similar pain far too many times before; such torment was no longer enough to move Lis.
While he was eroding the Abyssal Curse, Lis still had enough focus to control his Vampire Avatar, continuing to reform the Abyss Plane in order to comprehend the Abyss Rules.
Several days ago, Lis had reached a Trade with Azus, the God of Fantasy and Knowledge.
Azus used the Divine Position of [Fantasy] and the favor Lis had granted him previously as the price to obtain Lis’s protection for this period of time.
Moreover, Azus had then and there given enlightenment to the Gaia World Consciousness: as long as He could escape the pursuit of the Beastman Gods, He would hand the Divine Position of [Fantasy] over to Lis.
Lis had already learned before that related Knowledge Divine beings had sworn to the Gaia World; if they violated the oath, strange Misfortune might descend upon them.
As if it were the punishment of the World itself.
Therefore, Lis did not need to worry too much about Azus breaking His word.
If He did break it, at worst Lis would simply hand Him over directly to the Beastman Gods.
Before Becoming a God, Lis still did not need to care about anyone within the Gaia World.
Of course, such a Trade was by no means a loss for Azus.
First of all, there were very few people or forces willing to help Him resist the Beastman God System; He moved alone and had little bond with others.
More importantly, He had seized two [Knowledge] Divine Positions from the Beastmen.
Though not as powerful as the one He possessed Himself, they were still enough to greatly strengthen Him.
Furthermore, Azus had some other considerations he did not tell Lis.
To Digest those two [Knowledge] Divine Positions was not a simple matter.
Azus likewise needed some external assistance.
And Mages were precisely a group that pursued Knowledge.
Azus felt that in a Floating City overflowing with Knowledge everywhere, it might be of help to His Digestion of the [Knowledge] Divine Positions.
In truth, Lis was also curious why Azus did not bring those two Divine Positions back into His Divine Country.
However, Azus avoided answering this question, and Lis did not probe further.
At this moment, Lis stopped absorbing Magic Power to erode the Abyssal Curse.
His gaze pierced through the walls, seeing the meteor streaking across the distant sky.
And after the Floating City’s protective array shattered that meteor, the towering figure that appeared in the far-off heavens likewise entered Lis’s sight.
As expected, Beastman Gods!
Lis scrutinized that distinctive Phantom.
This was a Beastman God with a massive build, his body solid and compact like wrought iron.
Rough grey-green beast-hide was stretched taut over bulging muscles, covered in deep ravines of battle scars—long since scabbed over, yet still ferocious—crisscrossing over his austere, hard-set face and thick arms.
His features were stern and cold; a pair of blood-red beast eyes burned like heated iron, sharp as blades, and when they locked onto someone it was as if they could pierce straight through the enemy’s soul and cowardice.
His broad lower jaw was clamped tight, jutting out a pair of pale, razor-edged Tusks, exuding an unquestionable majesty and savagery.
His entire body was clad in beast-hide armor that seeped with a dark-red blood-glow, tightly conforming to his towering frame.
A heavy, iron-blood aura coiled around him; his steps were steady like war drums pounding, and every motion of hand or foot carried overwhelming dominance and pressure.
It was clear that this Phantom was not a true Divine Incarnation.
This should just be a projection of a Beastman Divine.
And this descending Beastman Divine...
Judging by appearance, he seemed to be Yinavu, the Beastman Conquering God!
This Beastman God of Medium Divine Power held a position in the Beastman God System second only to the Beastman Main God Gushu and the Beastman Mother Goddess Ruseke; he was Gushu’s Warlord and lieutenant.
Among the Beastman Gods, he counted as one of the few "who had a brain."
And it was obvious that Yinavu’s appearance outside Kane Floating City was certainly not to make friends with Lis.
Otherwise he would not have taken the initiative to attack, using it to demonstrate against Lis.
Here for Azus?
According to Azus’s account, He had already concealed His own aura and whereabouts, even using special means to temporarily mislead the tracking of the Beastman Demigod who was following Him.
He had even shifted what was likely Gushu’s gaze.
At the very least, when He entered Kane Floating City, the Beastman Gods should not have discovered Him.
