Raising his eyes, he could see several giant trees, so thick that they were difficult to embrace, standing straight in the garden.

The trunks were vigorous and ancient, with branches stretching outward, creating a dense green canopy that shrouded the entire garden.

Beneath the giant trees lay an endless expanse of verdant grassland.

The grass blades were tender and soft, brimming with vibrant life; each blade seemed meticulously nurtured, emitting a gentle, warm glow.

Countless tiny white flowers were scattered like stars across the grassland.

The petals were thin and translucent, lacking a strong fragrance, yet exuding a refreshing clean scent.

They were sporadically spread amidst the greenery, unassuming and unembellished, adding a layer of sacred and solemn undertone to the underground garden.

Lis stood quietly beside the garden, as if this place never belonged to the noisy world but was solely a resting place for the departed, a sanctuary for eternal repose.

Even more surprising to Lis was that, though this place lay deep underground, far from sunlight,

the air here was unusually fresh and moist, devoid of any usual subterranean mustiness and murkiness, instead filled with a concentrated essence of nature, almost tangible.

This pure and ancient scent, carrying the vitality of foliage, flowed into Lis’s body with each breath, seeming to soothe and gradually calm his body.

As Lis was immersed in this peculiar landscape, a faint but utterly pure golden glow suddenly flashed across the surface of his body.

The light vanished in an instant, so quickly it seemed an illusion, after which his surroundings returned to calm.

Lis raised his eyebrow slightly, lifted his forearm to take a look, and instantly understood in his heart.

This was not a power sourced from himself, but a restriction inherent to the garden, silently probing his body.

And that gentle yet unavoidable force of detection confirmed Lis’s Day Elf Bloodline.

Immediately, it receded swiftly, leaving Lis with a familiar sense of affinity and recognition.

It was as if this detection bore no malice, merely completing a silent discernment.

Regarding this, Lis did not overly mind.

Possessing the specialty of [Sun Elf Blood] was one of Lis’s reasons for daring to come here in the first place.

Even if Correlon had left defensive measures here, upon sensing the Sun Elf power within him, presumably there would not be much danger, right?

However, Lis quickly noticed something else.

His gaze swiftly passed over the blooming flowers and giant trees, locking firmly onto the most central position of the garden.

The center of the garden was gently guarded by several of the most mighty ancient giant trees.

Under the intertwining shadows of the trees, a smooth and clean circular grassland was revealed.

This grassland was holier than the surrounding greenery, as if crafted to be the resting place for some unique presence.

And at the very center of the grassland lay a sleeping male elf.

He possessed the characteristic slender figure and perfect silhouette of the Elf Clan, his features were exquisitely handsome, near perfection, without any blemish.

His golden hair flowed like streaming sunlight, smoothly cascading beside him, dropping onto the grass and white flowers, rendered even more radiant against the pure white background.

This elf wore neither the majestic divine armor that symbolized authority nor any ornaments but was simply dressed in a simple, pristine white robe.

The material of the robe was light and ethereal, without any patterns, yet naturally carrying an air of transcendence.

He lay quietly on his side within the grass, eyes gently closed, his brow relaxed, breathing so calm it was almost indiscernible.

He possessed not a trace of overwhelming divine power, yet he seemed integrated with this garden, with the entire underground space?

As if he had been slumbering here since the world was created.

Never disturbed by worldly clamor, untouched by the torrent of time.

Lis’s gaze fell upon that sleeping face, his originally calm expression abruptly changed, and his pupils contracted slightly.

His heart surged with turbulent waves, and his whole being stiffened in place.

He would never mistake this face, this face engraved in the depths of the Elf Clan’s faith, worshipped by countless elf citizens day and night.

It was identical to the statue of the supreme main god in all the elf temples above ground, not differing in the slightest.

The sleeping male elf in this underground divine garden was none other than the main god of the Elf Clan, the supreme entity ruling Nature and the Sun’s power, sovereign of all elf tribes —— Correlon!

Lis stood not far away, gazing at the sleeping form of the main god, sensing the pervasive, though faint, supreme aura belonging to Correlon.

He momentarily forgot his words, leaving only a heart full of shock and disbelief.

He never imagined that after venturing deep underground, he would encounter the legendary, long-silent Elf Main God in such a secluded garden.

Why would Correlon appear here?

Lis’s expression changed.

He could confirm that the Day Elf before him was not some portrait or magic puppet, but a real life form.

Moreover, this Day Elf indeed emitted the aura of a Divine Rank, identical to Correlon’s aura.

This Day Elf appeared in the small world created by Correlon, also carrying Correlon’s strength. Lis simply could not believe that there was no connection between them.

However, even though Correlon had perished, the Day Elf in front of him still bore the aura of life, not of death.

An alarm went off in Lis’s mind; there was no doubt this was one of the key secrets concerning Correlon.

Why did Correlon leave such a Day Elf here, what was his intention?

...

In Elf Country Tirion,

Lush life creepers twined around the white jade columns of the Elf Temple, and the silver-leaf flowers that bloomed for millennia unwiltingly crept along the temple walls, gracing this holy land nestled deep within the Eternal Night Forest with a sacred and serene ambiance.

The gentle yet unassailable power belonging to the Elf Gods filled every inch of the temple like a silent spring flowing through a forest in springtime.

This power condensed in midair into tiny, pale green motes of dust, floating softly.

Adela wore a pure white priestly robe embroidered with bay leaf patterns, her long hair gently gathered by vibrant green vines.

Her bare feet stepped upon the cool jade stone floor without making a sound.

She knelt upright before the altar in the temple’s center, with her hands overlapping at her heart.

Her long hair cascaded down, veiling her emerald green eyes filled with piety and awe.

Engulfed in ultimate solemnity, she offered the most pure prayers to the Elf Gods seated throughout the temple.

Her prayers made no sound, only pure spiritual power and soul power flowing silently.

Her prayers spread softly like gentle ripples throughout the temple, resonating with the divine power encircling her.

As her prayers deepened, the free-floating power of All Gods seemed to be summoned, gradually converging around her.

It transformed into gentle streams of light, softly coiling around her body.

The divine power halos wrapped around her layer upon layer, warmly seeping into her body, harmonizing her inner strength, and tempering her spirit and magic power.

Allowing her to perceive the will of All Gods more clearly, and to touch the essence of life and nature more profoundly.

On both sides of the temple, the divine statues of the Elf Gods stood in order.

The statues constantly exuded a faint, constant divine glow, the aura gently prolonged like an ever-burning candle flame, quietly guarding the temple, responding to the prayers of believers.

Only the statue at the very front and highest point of the temple remained silent.

That was the statue of the Elf Main God Correlon.

Yet, this tallest statue always remained dim and lightless; not a trace of divine power emanated from it, as if it were merely an ordinary jade sculpture.

But as Adela prayed, an unanticipated, extremely faint yet intensely dazzling golden brilliance flickered across the usually silent statue of Correlon.

The light vanished in an instant, swift as a meteor streaking across the night sky, not even enough to illuminate the contours of the statue.

Just a sliver of residual light caused all the divine power dust swirling in the temple to pause, making the air’s aura tremble slightly for a moment.

Adela’s soul, previously immersed in prayer, was suddenly stirred by this aura.

Her heart trembled fiercely, her previously steady breath subtly disrupted, and her hands clasped at her chest tightened involuntarily.

Without any hesitation, she suddenly lifted her head, staring directly at the central statue of Correlon in the temple.

Her gaze was filled with confusion and doubt, locking tightly onto the tall statue, not missing a single detail.

Yet no matter how she concentrated and scrutinized, the statue remained as silent and dim as ever.

The jade surface was smooth and warm, without a trace of luminescence or any divine power fluctuations, as if that golden glow moments ago was nothing but an illusion born of her excessive prayer.

What exactly had happened?
