I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means

Chapter 1835 - 993: War of the Elf Forest (Part 2)

The third point is the source of Power of Faith.

Currently, Lis has not formed a Divine Church belonging to himself like other Divine beings.

Generally speaking, a Demigod who attempts Ascension needs an adequate amount of Power of Faith.

Only then can they communicate with the Divine Status and temper Divine Power from it.

This is the basic composition of Divine Power.

However, Lis does not have enough Power of Faith at present.

His current power mainly stems from the Priest basic profession specialty [Chaos Faith Convergence].

Although this specialty can gather enough Chaotic Faith Power for him to conduct related research, it is still quite a gap if he wants to achieve Ascension with it.

Moreover, if Lis succeeds in Ascension, the required Faith Power will be even more.

Therefore, solving this problem is also a pressing matter for Lis.

Logically, Lis should begin to build the Divine Church now.

With Lis’s current strength and influence, this should be a straightforward task.

In fact, apart from the territory on the Luou Peninsula, Lis can also preach among the Elf Clan.

The current Elf Gods would absolutely welcome Lis to do so proactively.

They are in dire need of such a backbone now.

If Lis became Powerful Divine Power, the Elf Gods would even be willing to let Lis become the Main God of the Elf God System.

Even if he is not an Elf.

However, being a World Tree Favored, Lis is even more authentic in identity than many Elf Gods.

But Lis doesn’t want to do this.

Otherwise, how is he different from other Divine beings?

He, as an Arcanist, would ultimately be affected.

Regarding this aspect, Lis has a new idea.

He plans to attempt it first.

If it doesn’t work, then he’ll consider building the Divine Church.

Lis rubbed his temples, feeling a bit of urgency in his heart.

...

Outside the Barrier of the Elf Royal City.

Where once stretched the lush, thousand-mile-long Elf Holy Forest, lies now a blood-soaked battlefield of devastation.

Ancient, verdant trees have been uprooted by fierce forces; broken branches scatter the ground, while dark Abyssal Demon Qi intertwines with pale green Elf Life Magic Power in the air,

the pungent stench of blood mixed with the putrid odor of Demon Qi enveloping the entire world.

The originally soft earth has been soaked in blood, turning into a viscous dark red mire.

Every inch of the land is littered with Elf and Abyss Demon corpses, shattered weapons, and magic crystal stones dispersed among them.

A brutal battle concerning the life and death of the Elf Clan has erupted here.

On the ground battlefield, the sounds of slaughter, roars, magic explosions, and weapon clashes mix into a deafening cacophony.

Numerous agile Elf Warriors wielding Elf Bows and Refined Longswords engage in desperate fighting with grotesque, vicious Abyss Demons.

Abyss Demons come in varied forms, from those covered in dark Scale Armor wielding giant axes to winged demons breathing Hellfire, to Abyss Worms dragging poisonous mucus, wildly devouring life...

They surge continuously from the distant Demon’s Gate like a tide toward the Elf Defense Line, seemingly endless.

Elves rely on their innate agility and proficient combat techniques to desperately fend off the demons’ attacks.

Elf Archers draw their bows and arrows, with arrows infused with refined Natural Magic and Moonlight Power; every volley can pierce the body of a demon, taking away large swathes of their life.

Elf Mages wielding Magic Wands form magic arrays, harnessing Natural Magic and Elemental Power, creating wild vine dances, ice arrow showers, and fire sweeps, opening gaps within demon ranks.

Elf Warriors in close combat wear Magic Armor, their Longswords imbued with Guardian Magic Power, engaging demons in melee, every strike filled with resolute killing intent.

Magic Items wielded by the Elves play a critical role, constantly dispelling surrounding Abyssal Demon Qi, sustaining the Elves’ life force.

Through these buffs, the Elves repel demon charges time and time again, continuously slaughtering within the sea of corpses and blood.

Every moment, demons fall under their attacks, yet the battle remains deadlocked.

The sheer number of Abyss Demons is overwhelming; they appear fearless and tireless, driven only by an endless instinct for slaughter.

With one batch falling, more demons fill the gap immediately.

Relentless, fearless, and death-defiant.

Though the Elves are strong and coordinated, they continually deplete magic and stamina.

Casualties rise continuously; many Elf Warriors fall under the claws and tusks of demons, never to rise again.

Yet, the defense line, shaking under successive demon assaults, refuses to collapse.

Every Elf embraces a resolve to either live or perish alongside their clan, protecting the Royal City behind them with their life.

Despite the stalemate, there is never any retreat.

The ground combat has reached an extreme level of ferocity, while high above, an apex duel between Demigod-level beings is fraught with peril.

Every clash is powerful enough to tear the Void and shake the heavens and earth, with the aftermath of emitted power waves dispersing clouds below, causing tremors on the land.

This battle has long surpassed ordinary slaughter; every move is imbued with the Power of Law, the ultimate clash of rules and forces.

Lis is surrounded by intensely condensed Law radiance, his Magic Wand emitting dazzling magical light.

His aura is calm yet domineering, showing no fear against formidable Demigod Demons.

Beside him stands Elf Great Sage Adela, clad in Moonlight Magic Robe, her long hair flowing, hands gathering pure Natural and Moonlight Laws.

Divine Power, from the Elf Gods, surges fiercely within her; as the clan’s top combat force, her every move carries Purification strength for Demon Qi, fluid yet deadly.

Next to them is an elder Elf Demigod wielding laws of the Elf Jungle.

The three cooperate seamlessly in a trio against eight Abyssal Demigod Demons’ frantic assaults.

The eight Abyssal Demigods are enveloped in thick Abyss Power, each exuding a fearsome world-destroying aura.

They appear increasingly grotesque, their Power of Law raging wildly.

Darkness, Destruction, Corrosion, and Frenzy — evil laws weave into a terrifying net, engulfing Lis and the other two.

With each attack, the Space fractures, Demon Power sweeps in, aiming to completely devour Lis and his companions.

Lis gazed at the Demigod Demons before him, his expression unchanged.

He had hunted several Demigod-level Abyss Demons before.

Becoming a demigod, these Abyss Demons were typically Lords of various Abyss Planes.

Yet before Lis, they had little chance to struggle.

Of course, those who could endure against Lis and stall till other demigod demons supported them could barely escape with their lives.

So recently, all demigod demons arriving through the Demon’s Gate in the Elf Forest gathered together.

They seemed to believe their strength was sufficient and joined forces to attack the Elf Royal City.

Yet for those Abyss Demons, Lis and the Elf clan had made ample preparations.

Even in death, they could revive quickly through the Elf Gods’ power, minimizing Elf clan casualties.

However, the biggest trouble now is the several Demigod Demons before them.

Individually, they aren’t Lis’s match, but there are simply too many.

Eight Demigods pose a real headache for Lis.

Lis’s ally, Elf Great Sage Adela, hasn’t been a demigod for long; her power, with Divine bestowment, barely reaches normal demigod level.

The other Elf demigod is an old Elf who became a demigod long ago.

Awoken from his slumber in the Elf Land due to the current crisis.

Strength... comparable to Adela!

Lis rubbed his head, helplessly bearing the brunt of confronting these several Demigods.
