Chapter 79 - 78: The Tang Family’s Younger Generation
Tang Yi and Wang Zongyao were getting along splendidly. Upon learning that Tang Yi was also heading back to Fengyue City, Wang Zongyao invited him to ride in his Beast Vehicle so they could return together.
Wang Zongyao had taken a great liking to this polite and humble young man, and he wanted to get to know Tang Yi better.
Tang Yi didn’t hesitate. He brought Little Tiger onto the Beast Vehicle, and they began the journey back to Fengyue City.
Along the way, both Wang Zongyao and Wang Bi’Er were quite amazed to have the Demon Beast, Little Tiger, aboard. After all, this was a Demon Beast that had just kept pace with a Battle King Level expert.
Seeing it up close now, they were surprised by how cute it was.
Wang Bi’Er’s eyes sparkled as she looked at Little Tiger. She frequently held it in her arms, stroking its fur, and constantly shot envious glances at Tang Yi.
It was as if she were saying how much she envied Tang Yi for having such a pet.
It was clear the beautiful girl had no resistance to such an adorable pet.
Tang Yi and Wang Zongyao chatted away until they entered Fengyue City. After bidding each other farewell, and with Wang Bi’Er gazing reluctantly at Little Tiger, Tang Yi brought his pet back to the Tang Family.
Having just arrived in Fengyue City, Wang Zongyao had many matters to attend to, so he couldn’t accompany Tang Yi to the Tang Family.
News of Tang Yi’s return to the Tang Family spread immediately, but no one came to see him right away.
Instead, they waited until Tang Yi had rested for a night. It wasn’t until the next morning that he was summoned by Tang Haotian.
It was in the Tang Family’s main hall again, with all the Elders present once more. What was different, however, was the addition of several young figures.
Seated below the Elders were four young men and two young women.
One of the young women was well-developed, with a curvaceous figure where all the right places were exceptionally large. She also appeared to be quite a bit older than Tang Yi.
The other girl was younger than Tang Yi, with a rather cherubic face, looking to be about twelve or thirteen years old.
As for the four young men, one boy also looked younger than Tang Yi, but he carried himself with a powerful air, head held high and chest puffed out, as if to tell the world he was already grown up. The other three young men all seemed to be around eighteen years old, their faces having lost their boyishness, and they possessed rather sturdy builds.
Although these six people looked familiar to Tang Yi, he couldn’t recall any of their names at the moment.
"Yi’Er pays his respects to Father and the honored Elders." Upon arriving in the hall, Tang Yi first bowed to Tang Haotian before offering another bow to the assembled Elders.
Afterward, he gave a slight nod to the six youths.
Even though Tang Yi’s strength was now extraordinary, he still observed the proper etiquette between seniors and juniors. A bow was necessary, especially since these were his Clan’s elders.
’If the Seventh Elder hadn’t constantly caused trouble for me, I wouldn’t have felt the need to kill him.’
’Blood is thicker than water. You can’t just sever family bonds on a whim. Otherwise, what’s the difference between me and a wild animal?’
When the six youths saw Tang Yi nod to them, their faces lit up with excitement.
They were the young geniuses of the Tang Family, each one outstanding in their own right. They might not submit to others, and they might even be rivals amongst themselves, but when it came to Tang Yi, they were completely convinced of his superiority!
Who was Tang Yi? He was the man who had defeated the number one genius, Tang Mingtian, with just two fingers!
"Yi’Er, you’re here. Come, sit."
Seeing Tang Yi’s return, Tang Haotian was in high spirits. Seated in the main chair, his face was beaming as he smiled and pointed to a seat below him, motioning for Tang Yi to sit.
This seat was on the same level as the Elders’ positions. However, Tang Yi had sat there before, and everyone had already acknowledged his strength, so there was nothing inappropriate about him sitting there now.
Once Tang Yi plopped down into his seat, Tang Haotian continued, "Yi’Er, I’ve called you here today not only to discuss the qualification exam in a few days but also to introduce you to the members of our Tang Clan who will be participating."
After saying this, Tang Haotian paused, deliberately glancing at Tang Yi. He feigned a serious tone and said, "They are all your older brothers and sisters, and younger brothers and sisters. Although your strength is now extraordinary, Yi’Er, you cannot be disrespectful to your elders or disown your kin. When you are out there, you are not to order your brothers and sisters around like cattle, understand?"
Tang Haotian’s words carried a warning, hoping Tang Yi wouldn’t become arrogant and disown his relatives just because his strength had grown.
His other purpose was to put on a bit of a show for the Elders, letting them know that the Clan Leader still cared for the disciples of their respective lineages. This would help Tang Haotian solidify his own position.
Tang Yi played along perfectly, replying with a serious expression, "Yi’Er wouldn’t dare. I will never become conceited because of my strength, nor will I ever treat my own brothers and sisters like beasts of burden. When we are outside, as long as I am there, I will absolutely not allow any outsiders to bully my brothers and sisters from our Clan!"
"Good." Tang Haotian nodded in satisfaction.
Below, the Elders also let out a collective, noticeable sigh of relief, looks of joy appearing on their faces.
Then, Tang Haotian said, "Come, introduce yourselves to each other."
As soon as Tang Haotian finished speaking, the well-endowed, curvaceous young woman below was the first to speak to Tang Yi.
"Brother Tang Yi, my name is Tang Baijie. I am from the Fifth Elder’s lineage, a Seven-star Battle Master. I hope Brother Tang Yi will look after me in the future."
"Tang Zhanfeng, Six-star Battle Master, from the Sixth Elder’s lineage. I hope Brother Yi will look out for us."
"Tang Wulin, Five-Star Battle Master, from the Fourth Elder’s lineage. I hope Brother Yi will look after us."
"Tang Xuling, Seven-star Battle Master, from the Second Elder’s lineage. I look forward to Brother Yi’s guidance."
The other three young men, who were slightly older than Tang Yi, also introduced themselves one by one.
"Tang Shu, Three-Star Battle Master, from the Second Elder’s lineage. Greetings, Brother Tang Yi." The girl, who was younger than Tang Yi, gave him a sweet smile, looking very well-behaved.
Five of the Tang Family disciples in the hall had introduced themselves, leaving only one boy, who was also younger than Tang Yi.
This little boy stood with his head held high and his chest puffed out like a proud little rooster. Only after everyone else had finished did he speak, stating succinctly, "Tang Piaomiao. Nine-star Battle Master."
It had to be said, this younger "brother," Tang Piaomiao, had quite the personality.
However, upon hearing his name, Tang Yi was taken aback for a moment.
’Tang Piaomiao?’
’If my memories served me right... before I transmigrated, before my powerful Cosmos erupted... back then, if you were to ask who was the most outstanding disciple in the Tang Family, aside from the number one genius Tang Mingtian, it would have been this Third Young Master, Tang Piaomiao.’
’Tang Piaomiao had burst onto the scene, reaching the Level of a Nine-Star Battle Disciple at just eight years old. Now, at twelve, he was already a Nine-star Battle Master. If Tang Mingtian hadn’t been older than Tang Piaomiao and had several more years of cultivation, the title of "number one genius" would have absolutely belonged to Tang Piaomiao.’
’One could say that Tang Piaomiao was the true, undisputed number one genius of the Tang Family.’
