Of course, that wasn’t the point.

The point was, Gao Neng felt like he had completely lost control of his body, as if he were trapped inside a giant block of ice.

It was bone-chillingly cold.

Moreover, he was completely paralyzed. All he could do was float in the air, just like the skeletons around him.

He then began to experiment.

First, he tried to inject the extracted air elements back into the environment.

He quickly discovered that however many air elements he injected, the same amount would be removed from the air. It was like a perpetual ’equilibrium.’

First attempt...

Failure!

’Still not panicking.’

’Because failure is the mother of success.’

Next, he tried his second idea.

Gao Neng began to attach the extracted air elements to his body, hoping to create a force that would slowly propel him forward.

He found that it actually had an effect.

But the effect was so minuscule it was practically useless.

The moment the air he controlled attached to his body and began to push, it would immediately become stationary again. Consequently, his movement was incredibly slow.

Basically a turtle’s crawl.

Special Abilities: 1. Death Glare (Intermediate). 2. Second Magnetic Core (Advanced). 3. Life Element Fusion (Intermediate). 4. Celestial Book Deduction (Intermediate). 5. Origin (Epic).

Special Skill: 1. Infinite Energy Infusion.

’None of these look like they can save me... but I’ll give it a shot. First, I’ll use the process of elimination to rule out the most unlikely ones. I’ll just have to gamble on whatever’s left!’ Gao Neng began to eliminate his options.

First, he ruled out the most improbable one, the Epic ability, Origin.

Next, the second one...

Death Glare was probably useless.

After all, no matter how hard you glare, you can’t stare the air into submission.

Two ruled out just like that.

Among the remaining options, Celestial Book Deduction could also be pretty much eliminated. It was used for deducing combat techniques and had nothing to do with saving his life.

’Or should I play it safe?’

’Pick between Second Magnetic Core and Life Element Fusion?’

One of those abilities could be upgraded directly to Epic, and the other to Advanced. The odds looked much better with them.

Meanwhile, the so-called Infinite Energy Infusion was, at best, a basic skill right now.

Upgrading from Basic to Intermediate, Intermediate to Advanced, or Advanced to Epic—most people would know instantly which was the better deal.

But Gao Neng wasn’t most people.

"Infinite Possibility?!" The moment Gao Neng heard the name, his heart sank. How was this thing supposed to have any connection to his current predicament?

Still, acting on instinct, he immediately opened the skill description for Infinite Possibility.

There wasn’t much of a description inside.
