I Can Fish Up Everything!

"Why don’t you each just take one? Since everyone’s here today, how about we all go deep-sea fishing together?"

’It was impossible to choose between them.’ Gu Nan couldn’t play favorites, so he could only treat them equally and try to redirect their attention.

He had originally planned to check on the shop in the afternoon and then swing by the shipyard, but now it seemed he’d have to delay for another day or two.

Guo Xiao and Wang Junhe immediately stopped arguing and considered the possibility.

That time with the oilfish had given them three full days of freedom, and it felt amazing.

Even though it had only been a few days, they were already missing it.

"Ah Nan, do you have any good ideas?" Wang Junhe asked tactfully.

"To be blunt, we need an excuse for our wives. The oilfish incident was great, but we can’t use that one again," Guo Xiao said, getting straight to the point as was his nature.

Hearing this, Gu Nan felt a headache coming on. He thought they’d be at sea for a night at most; he didn’t expect them to be planning for several days.

He had already used his daily ’chance’ today, which was why he had placated the two of them by suggesting a trip out to sea.

But... unlocking the elite entry for Seven-Star Rock in his collection wasn’t that important, at least not as important as maintaining his good relationship with Wang Junhe and Guo Xiao.

Gu Nan had heard about the boat the two of them took out last time. It was a rather large, ultra-luxurious yacht, complete with a chef and cleaning staff. ’What would it feel like to go to sea on a boat like that?’

An idea immediately formed in Gu Nan’s mind. He suggested, "Brother Wang, Brother Guo, how about this? You guys get a large, luxurious fishing yacht and hire an experienced captain to take us out."

"And you can bring your wives. If your nephews and nieces can get time off, bring them too. We can just make it a team-building sea tour, right?"

"That way, you can get your fishing fix, and your wives won’t object."

"Of course, if they don’t want to go, just keep pestering them. They’ll either agree or they’ll let you go by yourselves just to get some peace and quiet. Either way, you’ll achieve your goal."

Wang Junhe and Guo Xiao looked at each other, thought for a moment, and decided his suggestion was indeed very feasible.

Their wives would most likely agree to a relaxing trip out at sea. Besides, they knew it was a bit much to always expect Gu Nan to catch big fish inshore, so going to the open sea was perfect.

Wang Junhe nodded. "Alright, we’ll go back and do some ’ideological work’ on your sisters-in-law. We’ll also borrow a boat and arrange for the crew. You rascal, why don’t you bring Yi Chen along this time? Since you’ve decided on her, it’s good to bring her to some of these occasions."

"I was planning to bring her even if you hadn’t mentioned it." A smile touched Gu Nan’s lips. When he suggested bringing their wives, he had naturally already thought of Yi Chen.

He wondered when Wang Junhe and Guo Xiao would teach his would-be mother-in-law a lesson. He had gone straight to sea after leaving the club yesterday and hadn’t had a chance to talk to Yi Chen. He had originally planned to talk to her today about them teaching her mother a lesson.

If she was unwilling, Gu Nan would have the two of them stop. But he would still show off his connections to his would-be mother-in-law to make the woman, who was clearly a snob, back off a bit.

Now he had an excuse to take Yi Chen out to sea, which would also save her from being harassed again.

Shen Suping was clearly the type who was used to being domineering. Normally, she wouldn’t stop until she got her way. It was hard to say if she truly had any motherly feelings for Yi Chen; after all, she hadn’t raised her.

After dividing the fish, the three of them headed back.

As they neared the shore, Gu Nan parted ways with them and returned to Fisherman’s Wharf.

Except for the two large Spanish mackerels he gave them, he took all the rest back to the shop.

Wang Junhe and the others would need some time to prepare, so they would meet tomorrow at the earliest. This meant Gu Nan could still take care of what he wanted to do today.

Back at the shop, Gu Nan told Yi Chen about the plan. She was clearly tempted, but also somewhat conflicted.

He knew what she was conflicted about and said with a smile, "I’ll have An Jun come help watch the shop for a couple of days. I’ll put labels with the seafood names on the tanks and write down all the prices, sizes, and other details in a notebook for him."

He had originally wanted his parents to come help with the shop and to introduce Yi Chen to them, but even though his old man had submitted his resignation, the factory hadn’t found a replacement for him yet, so they’d have to wait a bit longer.

Gu Nan had no issue with this. It was best to part on good terms.

Yi Chen thought about how smooth-talking An Jun was and felt that having him come help with the shop seemed very appropriate. So, she nodded and agreed.

Yi Chen was also looking forward to the sea trip.

Then, Gu Nan told her about Wang Junhe and Guo Xiao’s plan to teach Shen Suping and her family a lesson, leaving the decision up to her.

He made sure to specify that it would only cause them some financial losses and that there would be no issues concerning their personal safety.

Wang Junhe and the others wouldn’t go so far as to do anything too cruel. Gu Nan hadn’t asked how they planned to teach the lesson, but he understood what the end result would be.

Hearing that it would only be financial losses, Yi Chen immediately nodded. "It’s good that Brother Wang and Brother Guo are willing to take them down a peg. How dare she look down on us!"

Gu Nan was very pleased. ’A future wife who knows how to be on the same page as you is a good wife.’

He then called An Jun and asked him to come over and help with the shop.

An Jun had been busy with his own things lately, but looking after the shop for a bit wasn’t a problem.

When he heard that Gu Nan was taking Yi Chen out to sea, he was so jealous he immediately started clamoring for Gu Nan to take him out next time he rented a boat.

Gu Nan naturally agreed at once. Once his new boat arrived, he would call up his brothers and friends to go out to sea together. For now, though, he’d just have to wait!
