After listening to what the Exotic Beast Chi Hu had to say, Zhao Rui was able to piece together the general situation.

As far as Blue Star was concerned, Gui Xu was a sort of spatial detachment. This wasn’t a disappearance, but rather a shielding effect created by spatial technology or some other special means.

Some creatures, nourished by True Qi—that is, Spiritual Qi—were uniquely endowed with Divine Power and Special Abilities.

They relied on instinct to absorb Spiritual Qi and enhance their strength.

After an unknown number of years, these intelligent Exotic Beasts mastered unique Innate Cultivation Divine Techniques. Their progress accelerated abruptly, and within a short period, they surpassed the masses of Exotic Beasts that cultivated purely on instinct.

They formed their own ruling class.

Later, the Manghuang Barbarians rose to prominence. Their powerful reproductive abilities and intelligence allowed their strength to completely crush the Exotic Beast population.

Ordinary Exotic Beasts were mindless, so after just a few battles, the dominion that this group of intelligent Exotic Beasts had just established was on the verge of collapse.

The intelligent Exotic Beasts withdrew from the struggle for the Wilderness, choosing to hide in a secret realm—in other words, they carved out a territory for themselves, the top intelligent Exotic Beasts, to live and propagate.

They no longer meddled in the survival of ordinary Exotic Beasts.

After all, ever since they had developed intelligence, their relationship with the other Exotic Beasts was similar to the relationship between humans and animals.

From that point on, all of Gui Xu became a world dominated by the Barbarians.

An unknown number of years passed like this, until some people from the Great Shang and Great Zhou accidentally stumbled into Gui Xu.

Their intellect was far superior to that of the Barbarians, and they already possessed the heritage of the Witchcraft Dao. After a millennium of evolution, they had surpassed the primitive races of Gui Xu.

As for the later Song Realm Martial Artists, not enough time had passed for any supreme experts to emerge. Although a few appeared throughout history, they were all submerged in the long river of time.

A few years ago, the Great Zhou King broke through the limits of the Martial Dao, leading Great Zhou’s experts to sweep through the Manghuang Race, suppress the Exotic Beast Kings, and unify the Wilderness.

This allowed their strength to increase immensely, enabling them to command Exotic Beasts to defeat the Great Shang and the Song Realm, completely occupying Gui Xu.

As for Chi Hu and his group, although they were secluded in a secret realm, they were still found by the Great Zhou King. Through a combination of wearing them down and outright attacking, he forcefully drove them from the Pangu Continent.

Some time ago, the Viper King Venerable’s "invasion" of the Central State was the advance force dispatched by Chi Hu and his group.

They wanted to see how strong the Central State was.

If it proved to be weak, they would take up temporary residence there.

In the end, Zhao Rui nearly beat the crap out of it, and only then did they realize that humans had evolved too damn fast.

There was nowhere for them to take refuge.

They were different from the other Exotic Beasts that only knew how to eat and reproduce. They had higher aspirations and didn’t want to be involved in any conflicts.

Especially with the current chaotic situation on Blue Star.

Left with no other choice, these few Exotic Beasts discussed the matter and fled to the Moon, only occasionally returning to Gui Xu Pangu to sneak a few Exotic Beasts for a meal.

Chi Hu was an intelligent beast as well. It was waiting for Great Zhou, Great Shang, and even the Central State to break out into a massive fight so they could reap the benefits while the others were occupied.

They hoped to return to the Pangu Continent and rule the Exotic Beast race.

It just never expected that Zhao Rui would actually show up.

’No, I should say that blockhead, the Viper King Venerable, led him right to our door.’

’Besides, Zhao Rui didn’t come alone. This group of aliens following him were all incredibly powerful, roughly on par with us.’

’Such formidable combat strength is enough to make us afraid to act rashly.’

"Boss Chi Hu, you seem to be having a pleasant chat, but he’s not necessarily going to help us. Don’t forget that we’re enemies."

The Viper King Venerable raised its draconic head, speaking with a hint of displeasure.

"Silence! The boss has his own plans. You’re just a brainless reptile, so listen and be quiet."

The toad that had been fighting it opened its huge mouth, its long tongue flicking in and out, its eyes full of contempt.

"You stinking toad! If you have the guts, let’s go another round."

"Bring it on! Who’s afraid of who!"

After saying their piece, the two beasts started fighting again.

Looking at the dust-choked surface of the Moon below, Zhao Rui couldn’t help but shake his head.

"Engage!"

The Armor he was wearing instantly shifted into its complete form, encasing his limbs and head entirely.

With his combat form activated, Zhao Rui instantly shot toward the Moon.

In the blink of an eye, he arrived on the surface of the Moon.

A blue light radiated from his body as his right hand transformed into a gigantic fist dozens of meters wide, which he smashed fiercely toward the Viper King Venerable’s head.

WHUMP!

The Viper King Venerable was so preoccupied with fighting the toad-like Exotic Beast that it didn’t notice the fist hurtling down from the sky.

It was smashed straight into a crater in the ground.

After dealing with the Viper King Venerable, Zhao Rui didn’t stop. He vaulted onto the toad’s back and unleashed another flurry of blows on its head.

The toad was terrified. With a single leap, its body shot off the Moon’s surface like a cannonball.

Zhao Rui drew his Tribulation-Breaking Sword and drove it into the toad’s back. No matter how it bucked and thrashed, it couldn’t shake him off.

"Suppress!"

As the toad landed back on the ground, Zhao Rui activated his Purple Mansion Primordial Venerable Body and channeled his Thousand-Pound Fall. At the same time, his Armor unleashed a shockwave.

Under the combined might of these three forces, the toad was pinned flat to the ground. Its limbs splayed out and its long tongue hung limply from its mouth, powerless to struggle.
