Xu Qing gazed at the Token in his hand. If he wished, he could use it right now to leave the World of Wood Origin and travel to another Root Source World.

"Congratulations, Master, on obtaining the Token for the World of Wood Origin," the Twisted Demon God said joyfully.

"This is all thanks to your help," Xu Qing said.

"It is my honor to be able to help you, Master," the Twisted Demon God replied at once.

"Now, let me help you," Xu Qing said. "If we team up, we can definitely gather another one hundred and eight Wood Root Source World Token Fragments in a short time and get a second Token."

"Yes, Master," the Twisted Demon God said.

And so, Xu Qing and the Twisted Demon God joined forces, hunting for prey within the Natural Forest. Whenever they came across a corrupted member of the Wood Root Elf Race, the Twisted Demon God would strike without hesitation, killing it to obtain its Purifying Heart. He would then hand it over to a Wood Root Mermaid in exchange for another Wood Root Source World Token Fragment.

"Respected Outsider."

A member of the Wood Root Mermaid Race appeared, looked at the Twisted Demon God, and said, "Haven’t you already received all of our Token Fragments? Why do you still wish to trade?"

"That is none of your concern," the Twisted Demon God replied coldly.

"Very well." The Wood Root Mermaid nodded. "I only wished to remind you. But, respected Outsider, since you have your own plans, I will say no more."

Soon, the trade was complete.

The Twisted Demon God had obtained another Wood Root Source World Token Fragment.

「One month later.」

An entire month had passed.

For a full month, with Xu Qing’s help, the Twisted Demon God hunted both outsiders to seize their Tokens and corrupted members of the Wood Root Elf Race.

However, it still took them the entire month to finally collect all one hundred and eight Wood Root Source World Token Fragments.

HUMMM! HUMMM!

Then, all the Token Fragments in the Twisted Demon God’s possession slowly rose into the air, entering the Void and pulsing with brilliant light.

Before long, with a blinding flash of light, the one hundred and eight Wood Root Source World Token Fragments fused together, forming a complete Wood Root Source World Token.

The Encyclopedia of All Things shone with light, and the Wood Root Source World Token in the Twisted Demon God’s hand gleamed in response. An invisible wave of Energy flowed from the Token and was absorbed by the Encyclopedia.

Xu Qing froze, a look of disbelief on his face. He couldn’t help but think, ’Absorbing the True Points from a complete Root Source World Token gives a whopping two million.’

’But absorbing one hundred and eight Root Source World Token Fragments, with each only granting ten thousand True Points, only adds up to a total of 1,080,000 True Points.’

’So by absorbing the True Points directly from the Token Fragments, I lost out on a full 920,000 True Points.’

However, on second thought, he realized that the True Points from Root Source World Tokens and Root Source World Token Fragments could each only be absorbed once. Furthermore, they had to be in the possession of different people for it to work.

For example, if the Twisted Demon God were to collect all the Token Fragments in the next Root Source World, once Xu Qing absorbed the True Points from those fragments, he wouldn’t be able to absorb any from fragments he collected himself.

But if Xu Qing then synthesized his own Token Fragments into a complete Root Source World Token, he would be able to absorb the True Points from that.

So, in the previous Golden Root Source World, Xu Qing had lost out on a full two million True Points. But back then, he didn’t have any trusted allies in the Golden Root Source World.

Fortunately, he had met the Twisted Demon God in the World of Wood Origin. Thanks to this, Xu Qing now understood the mechanic and wouldn’t lose out on True Points in the future Root Source Worlds.

"By the way," Xu Qing paused, then asked, "Twisted Demon God, counting the World of Wood Origin, how many Root Source Worlds have you been through?"

"Replying to your question, Master, this is the second Root Source World I have experienced. My previous one was the Water Origin World."

"Mm." Xu Qing’s expression grew thoughtful. ’I went to the Golden Root Source World last time. That means if I go to the Water Origin World, you can’t follow, and if you go to the Golden Root Source World, I can’t follow either.’

"Alright," Xu Qing said. "In that case, for our next Root Source World, we’ll go to the Earth Root World together. By teaming up, we’ll have a much better chance of clearing these Root Source Worlds, seizing all the Tokens, and passing the second station of the Only True Path."
