It's been a week since I failed my second spiritual covenant.

Brother Victor and Al have been doing a lot of research on why the contract is failing, but so far the cause is unknown and I can hardly challenge the third spiritual contract.

Even if we fail, we're going to do it again and again until we succeed. Then I don't mind trying the contract ritual, but I wanted to avoid just failing again and again without thinking about it. I take it for granted that I would like to increase my odds somewhat.

"... maybe we should go to the orphanage today"

The cages have been in the mansion for a long time and the mood has been extinguished. Play with the kids at the orphanage and you'll feel a little refreshed. Maybe I'll see Chloe, too.

I thought so, I just decided to go out. Make Luke ready to go out.

It was a sudden story, and I wasn't willing to take him, but when I tried to go out, Noel arrived in a good mood with his tail up. Lately, Noel always tries to come with me when I try to get somewhere. I don't particularly prank you, and I don't think you're in the way because you're being clever, but if you were to go outside, I'd hesitate.

Nevertheless, I was mostly accompanying Noel when I went to the orphanage, so I thought now and decided to take him as he was.

"Noel, are you coming too?

"Nah!

Noel rings as if to reply.

It's strange, but that day, after the day Noel sucked my magic out, his movements clearly changed. I don't know what to say, but there's been more movement as if we understand what we're saying.

Noel had always thought he was too smart for a cat, but that had increased significantly. And since then, for some reason, I have become terribly reluctant to be touched by men.

Previously, even though Luke and Brother Hugo held me, I now end up intimidating and biting them just because they got their hands on me.

Usually I'm a lot of people, but when other than me try to touch me, I put my tail upside down and intimidate them.

I wondered what this was about, and I talked to the doctor, but he said it wasn't a disease or anything for now.

... I can't assure you that it wasn't a cat specialist who diagnosed me, but, well, I'm pretty sure he's full of energy, so he's probably changed as an adult.

Noel is a male. It was the doctor's view that he was wary that I would be taken by the same man, Brother Luke or Hugo.

By the way, Al, Much and Noel have hated me for a long time, but it's been particularly bad here lately. Al takes intimidating action just by getting close, and he just distances himself from getting close.

It doesn't mean Al did something, but does it have the feeling that cats don't like it without meaning? I hated him enough to tilt my neck if I didn't think so.

"Ma'am, are you going to follow Noel?

When I held Noel up, I heard him with a face that Luke seemed uncomfortable with. Nod at it.

"Yeah. Looks like he wants to come with me. Besides, I don't think Chloe or the orphanage kids would bite Noel either. These are the kids I've been taking care of Noel with ever since I picked him up. I'm sure even Noel remembers them."

"Right..."

He looked subtle, but in the end Luke nodded.

As usual, we walk to the orphanage.

As a precaution against crime, although it would be somewhat distant, it had been decided to go a long way.

When something happens, a lot of witnesses help a lot.

Time, after noon. A carriage of carriages passes the paved road. There was also an outdoor shop, but it was relaxing somewhere because it was not a busy time. Many shopkeepers are blossoming in vain with their customers.

"Peace..."

I knew that was because I lived in the King's Capital, but I squeal unexpectedly. Luke, who heard me talking to myself, also agreed.

"Yeah. Everyone doesn't know the war. It's relaxing, too."

"Right."

In the last hundred years or so, there hasn't been any rumbling. There is little civil unrest and it is very peaceful. If you go outside the Wang capital, you will live somewhat with a sense of crisis because there are warcraft and so on, but basically, it is good to say that there is little vigilance for those living in the Wang capital.

That's because we trust the Roseblade royals who rule us.

No matter what happens, the royal family can do something about it. That's what the people who live in the King's Capital believe.

"That's what Al will inherit."

"Right. If you get married, your daughter will be responsible for one end of it."

"Yes... it is"

It's embarrassing, but it's really only recently that I realised what Luke said was true.

I used to think that if I married a prince, I would gain immense power and my vanity would be the one that fills me to the fullest. Without realizing the role given to the Queen, he was all concerned about how proud he could be of everyone.

What for, my father was making me educated. When I realized it, I wanted to disappear. It's a foolish extreme that you were given the foundation to do the right thing, but you don't even realize it.

"... we need to look for what I can do too so that we can all continue to live in peace"

We still have time to get married. The same goes for the Spirit covenant by then, but I have to find out for Al what I can do for this country right now.

"We still have less than two years, so why don't we just take a moment to think about it?

"Right."

I agree with Luke. When I looked at him, he looked at me as if I were praising him.

Even though he's younger, Luke has a strangely grown-up look at times like this.

"... businessy."

"I'm sorry"

I was apologized for with a voice that included laughter. This is the one I don't think is bad at all.

... Nothing good though.

"Oh, um...!

"Huh?"

Suddenly, he was called from behind and stopped. Looking back, a magnificent man looked at this one in a terrible hurry. The outfit is a design I don't see much in this country. I was wondering if it might be a nobleman from another country, and stood before me softly so that Luke could take refuge.

"Ma'am, please step back. … So what can I do for you"

"Yes, no... not that I need her..."

Luke puts a suspicious eye on me and a man rushes to start making excuses.

"Chi, it's not. That... your face looks too much like..."

"Just like that?"

I don't know what you're talking about. When he saw Luke wondering if he remembered, he shook his head sideways to deny it.

"Me, sir? I don't know who you look like, but I was wondering if it might be someone else's. Because I don't have more parents than I do."

Clearly Luke said it out, the man nodded frightened.

"Oh well... is that right? No, it is, isn't it? I can't believe you're here... No, I'm sorry. But... may I ask your name?

"... Luke Flores, though"

"Thank you," the man thanked Luke when he gave his name, even as he was on guard.

"Of course I know it's a mistake, but just in case, let me take this matter back to the country. I'm late for my application. I am Assistant Chancellor of the Kingdom of Wesleyan, my name is Vieri. If you have any doubts about my identity, please contact the Kingdom of Wesley."

"Huh..."

- Assistant Chancellor of the Kingdom of Wesleyan?

While Luke and I were surprised by the appearance of a bigger man than we could have imagined, the man - Vieri - left with a "then" meeting.

I can't chase him or speak to him, and the two of us look at Pokan Vieri's back. Where that back disappeared, I exhaled heavily.

"... Assistant Chancellor of the Kingdom of Wesleyan, is it real?"

"What you were wearing, how you behaved standing, etc. was that of a senior aristocrat. At least you can't say it's a lie without a headache."

"Right. The clothes he was wearing, something to snort at if it's a foreign fashion. Good fabric was used and it was still new. Probably the mainstream design of the Wesleyan kingdom right now."

"That's right," Luke grinned bitterly when he told her what he thought.

"You seem very lady at the end of your eyes. Hye-Eye, I'm afraid. But the question remains. If you're real, why are you calling me out?"

"I don't know. That's as much as I want to hear. Luke, are you sure you don't remember yourself? Look, you did something rude somewhere before you knew it."

Poking at Luke's flank wondering if he had any idea, he denied it with a face full of discomfort.

"I'm not an old lady. Do you really think I would imitate the name of the Duke of Beltran's house?

I felt something serious that could not be ignored by that voice, and I regretted that I spoke lightly.

"... sorry. I'm sorry about that. Well, there's no way you're gonna do anything for the House of the Duke of Beltran."

Ever since he picked me up, Luke has been at the Duke of Beltran's house, devoting himself to me. I was too rude to him, such as making statements questioning his loyalty.

When it comes to obedience, there are good and bad things to say. Even a joke shouldn't have made a statement questioning his loyalty.

"I'm reflecting. Will you forgive me because I won't tell you again?

Looking softly at Luke, he exhaled one more time.

"... ok. I've also been reflecting lately that there's something a little too disturbing about your daughter, because I don't think it's the only way to blame her."

"I just wanted to say thank you, but you were aware"

I just thought it was something I was definitely unconscious about, but apparently Luke noticed.

Luke looks awkward, scratching his cheeks with Polypoli.

"... with. I was wondering if the lady would really accept me. I think I'll give you everything I've been hiding anyway..."

……

silenced by words that were not even excuses.

Apparently Luke was trying me. Sure, it was before, so I don't know what that feels like, but it's a huge idea.

"... so?

"Well... I was also glad that the lady would forgive me, but I also enjoyed interacting with the lady, and I don't like to lose it... well, I guess it's good to stay this way if you accept me,"

"You..."

I guess not.

I wanted to exhale as much as I could, but I had a good time.

Because I don't hate Luke's sayings either.... or even if it's gone now.... Isn't it lonely?

"... nothing, it's as good as it's ever been. Something I already think of as poisonous tongue when it comes to Luke. When it's gone, it doesn't look like you."

I honestly couldn't tell him I was just lonely. When I said that, Luke blinked his eyes and then smiled happily.

Keep your head down gracefully.

"Thank you. Thank you for your patience."

"... that's hard to say in reply. But it's good."

When I said it as if it was frightening, Luke looked up and said to me, "That's the lady," with a rare and unpleasant look and voice.
