"Anagura...... is it"

Against magic, a place where only those with special talents come together, a magical specialty agency, commonly known as "Anagura".

There are only odd freaks there, the Devil's Nest. I have a deep understanding of magic, and I'm sure it's an expert gathering, but normally I'd never want to get near it.

When I heard Al was going to such a dangerous place, there was a wrinkle between nature and my brow. Al pokes his forehead when he sees my face.

"Look, you don't look so harsh. I'm fine. Everybody over there, they're all freaks, for sure, but they're sure of their abilities. I'm sure he'll tell you a good idea."

"That would be..."

It's a place where you don't hear good rumors. I just get worried even if I know I'm just going to visit.

"Al......"

"Don't look like that. Because I'm really fine. What if you're coming with me? Then I think you'll know it's not a scary place."

"Is that true? Absolutely!"

I jumped at Al's suggestion.

To be honest, I don't even want to go to 'Anagura', which I didn't even want to come near. But Al's desire to see where he was going was better won by this eye.

Al takes my hand and makes me stand off the couch. I saw Luke, and he winked.

"Shall we go out soon, then? Oh, yeah. For once, it's a highly classified place, Luke, so I was wondering if you'd excuse me."

In contrast, Luke nodded with an indescribable face.

"You don't have to bother to tell me, I won't disturb you. As much as you like, you two."

"Yes, thank you"

In response to the throwing Luke, Al was returning with a glowing smile.

◇ ◇ ◇

Noir unsealed the subpoena, and Noel decided to have him leave a message at the mansion with Luke, and I headed to 'Anagura' with Al.

Sometimes they have been funded by the royal family, and 'Anagura' is located on the property of the royal castle and placed under the royal jurisdiction. The lab is the corner of the west wing. There is a large research room for everyone and a room for personal use. And then there seems to be a bedroom or something so we can stay in. Apparently, the wizards to whom they belong are encouraging research there day and night.

……

Walk down the hallway of the royal castle with Al pulling his hand. The unusual path strangely invites tension. Especially with regard to the fact that I had recently become the wingman of going quickly to a place I was determined to get close to, I felt something called the prank of fate.

"What's going on? Are you nervous?

He pulls my hand and Al, who was walking a little further, looks back. And I answered with a smile.

"Just a little. It's a place I only know about rumors, so I figured I'd be unconsciously nervous to wonder what actually happened."

"I guess so. Well, it's true that everyone is far-winded, and I don't want to be actively involved either. But I can count on you to visit them when you have to."

"Yes......"

I snort even though I don't want you to visit me at times like this.

"Is that it?"

As soon as I entered the west wing, I stopped feeling uncomfortable. Look around and realize who it is.

"No soldiers?

Until then, you can't see a soldier standing every few meters. Al explained to me, wondering what it meant.

"They used to be there. I stopped putting it down at one point because it was dangerous. 'Cause it's everyday tea and rice that causes some kind of accident in' Anagura '. In order not to involve the irrelevant, there is no one in this west wing but the' Anagura 'person"

"Yeah, but that's dangerous..."

It's not necessarily that anyone who tries to steal their research won't show up. Wouldn't we need a minimal guard soldier? But Al shook his head sideways.

"There's always someone in the lab who's a fellow for twenty-four hours. What happens when a thief comes who has come for research results? No doubt, it's just going to be their research material."

"Research materials…"

"Yeah. I'm thrilled that the research material came from me. He actually said it. Well, if you're dealing with a thief, you can save yourself the trouble of catching him."

"Really..."

Second, I remembered the story of the Great Wizard Noel using the Spirit as a research material.

In contrast, Noel seemed to have no guilt whatsoever.

For him, who is a high elf, humans and spirits are only one of the experimental materials. I guess I really shouldn't have made the choice of sheltering him from such a broken ethic and putting him in the mansion. In fact, even I felt horrible about him saying flat out with experimental material. But for a short period of time, I couldn't abandon Noel, who I had as my beloved cat, and now helpless, who is also my benefactor. The balance leaned towards you.

To be honest, I'm still worried.

I thought maybe my choice was a mistake.

I guess you're also doing something sorry for my covenant Spirit noir.

To me, a benefactor, but to him, Noel is only a hateful vendetta. You understand that, but you can't be in a good mood because my husband, I, shelter him. Naturally.

It's annoying a lot to everyone.

"... ah"

"What's up, Lili?"

Al talks to me in a strange voice. Besides, I couldn't respond aggressively.

'Cause now I realize I'm outrageous.

Yesterday, I asked Prince Wilfred how to break Noel's curse, thinking briefly that he would not have to put it in the mansion.

I didn't realize it then. That if we free him from the curse, Noel might repeat the same thing again.

- What was I trying to do?

I was stunned by the fact that I just realized it.

I'm so shocked, I think I'm going to cry.

In the end I was only thinking about myself.

Nothing has changed. It's all about me, and I haven't thought about my surroundings at all.

All the time - all the time I'm so slow to notice.

I didn't even think about Luke earlier when he expressed concern about un-cursing Noel. You should have been aware of that then.

- Oh.

At least the salvation was that Noir didn't deny it when he said he would free Noel from the curse.

And the fact that Noel had earlier affirmed that if he was released from the curse, he was no longer a dangerous person.

Then working hard to free Noel won't let dangerous people go wild.

I don't have to apologize to the noirs any more.

……

- We have to work hard.

To decurse Noel.

Although it is now, it is the only thing that can be done.

This is the result of my choices.

Having sheltered Noel, I must take responsibility for that choice.

Look at me shaking my body, Al asks.

"Lili, what's going on, just now? Something's wrong, though."

"Yes, no... nothing"

Laughs deceptively. That's how I put my feelings back in.

- We'll start over. You can roll it back now. Yeah, I'll try to rewind it.

"I'm sorry, Al. He seemed a little upset."

"Yes, that would be nice.... back to the story, because if we don't even interrupt research, they won't do anything either. You don't have to be more frightened than you have to be."

"Yes, I'm fine"

Create a smile and return the words. Al looked at me worried, but I guess he decided it wasn't a problem. I walked out again. And I'm horrified.

The walls in the west wing are white and not even carpeted in the hallway. There's just a simple candlestick. He said accidents happen a lot, so I guess I can't leave anything of value behind, but I'm surprised at how different it is from the main building and the royal settlement where Al is located.

"This room. I'm coming in."

Al knocks and opens the door.

Inside it was as big as the big hall where the ball was held. There are cauldrons everywhere that seem to be used to refine magic drugs, and there are herbaceous things unmade on the desk. Parchment had signs like writing something in flowing handwriting, and about ten people thought to be researchers, seemed busy working. There are tools scattered over there that I don't even know what to use for.

They noticed that we had come in, but soon returned to their own research as if they had lost interest. I'm surprised at that so much indifference.

Al looked around at them like he was frightened and opened his mouth.

"I told you I was going yesterday."
