One hundred and ninety six-Oschatz

Fifteen kilometers away from the southwestern corner of Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, there is a village far from the hustle and bustle and closer to the original state.

It has a very beautiful name-Begeland Village.

This is a village of singing and dancing.

And five kilometers away from the west of Begeland Village is the Begeland River, the mother river that nurtures several nearby villages.

Every morning, many teenagers get up early, greedy for the dark, and walk forward with earthen jars to come to this river to fetch water.

Because in the local culture, the river water in the early morning is like morning dew, when the river water is the cleanest and sweetest.

Among the countless water fetchers, Oschatz was one of them.

Oschatz's original name was Umu Wilvain Enyel, Twain Uwin Muben Oschatz, but for convenience, people in the village would call him Oschatz directly.

Every morning when the sun has not risen, Oschatz will go to the river five kilometers away to fetch water with the earthen jar, and every time before taking water, Oschatz’s mother will carefully stuff two pieces in his pocket. Pancakes serve as snacks on the road.

This pancake is carefully selected by Osas’ mother, choosing the best deep soil.

The soil will be disinfected with fire, and then screened through a sieve to remove most of the impurities, and finally form a fine, dense, loose soil.

Finally, the mud will be mixed with water to make a mud, and then butter and salt will be added to the mud and mixed evenly to form slices of round cakes and put them in the sun.

After being dried, it is ready to be used as a pancake for snacks.

Of course, this kind of fragrant pancakes can only be used as snacks. If you eat too much, your stomach will become high and swollen, and your body will become weaker and weaker.

However, on the east side of the village, there is a vast and dense forest. When the villagers of Begeland are hungry, they go to the nearby forest to pick wild fruits, and when they are thirsty, they go to the river to drink water.

When the stomach began to growl in the evening, Oschatz would also call his childhood playmate, Ido, and the two would go to the woods to eat meat together.

In the woods that nurtured the entire village, Oschatz and Ido had developed a good skill from their childhood. Not only could they distinguish a variety of wild fruits and fungi, they could occasionally catch a few mice or bats.

The entire Begeland village lives happily in such an environment without any disputes.

However, just a few days ago, Oschatz suddenly heard from his playmate that a villager who had returned from Windhoek suddenly fell ill on the night of his return, vomiting constantly, and couldn't even eat food.

But Oschatz didn't care about this. After all, as a Namibian, Oschatz knew a long time ago that many people in the village are destined to live soon, and the infected person is one of them.

However, the real nightmare came without warning...

In the evening, Oschatz rested for a whole day, and only walked towards the east of the village until the sun was about to set. Every day Ido would meet him there, and the two went to the woods to find food together.

However, when Oschatz arrived at the east end of the village, he did not see Edo.

"Huh, this kid is late?"

Oschatz was a little surprised. The other party was younger than himself. When he was growing up, he was more active than himself every time he went to the woods to drive meat. Lateness like this rarely happened.

Oschatz didn't care, but sat at the head of the village slowly and waited silently.

But until the sun had set and the sky changed from blue to indigo, I did not wait for Edo.

"What the hell is this guy doing?"

Oschatz was a little annoyed. After the night, although he could catch mice and birds, it was hard to find wild fruits. Thinking of this, he simply walked in the direction of Ido.

Edo's home was not far from the village, and soon a house built of soil embryos appeared in front of Oschatz.

The door was not closed, Oschatz walked directly to the door and just about to knock on the door, but heard a violent vomiting sound from the room.

The sound came from the back room. Oschatz ran in quickly, but saw Edo standing in front of the bed helplessly, while his mother was lying sideways on the bed, facing a face lying in front of the bed. The basin was vomiting vigorously.

"vomit--!"

Just like a fountain, a black filth spurted from her mouth. Although most of it was spit into the basin, there were still many splashes, splashing all over the bed.

A special fishy smell floated from the direction of the bed, just like the smell of blood and internal organs mixed with small animals every time Oschatz dissected them.

Oschatz subconsciously covered his mouth and nose.

"Oschatz, why are you here?"

At this time, Edo happened to look back to see Oschatz, but his mood seemed a little depressed.

"Edo, we went to the woods..."

Oschatz asked helplessly.

"You have also seen that my mother is sick and I have to take care of her." Ido shook his head and refused Oschas without hesitation.

"Ok……"

Seeing this, Oschatz didn’t say much. He glanced at Ido’s mother last. At this time, the woman was still retching, spewing dark brown mucus from time to time, as if he was about to vomit all of his internal organs. Come out so...

Not only that, in Oschatz’s eyes, her mother’s eyes had already turned bright red from congestion, and even faintly saw two dark red blood flowing down her cheeks, very strange and terrifying...

For some reason, Oschatz suddenly panicked in his heart. Before he could say hello to Edo, he hurried out of the room and returned home.

Originally, Oschatz thought this was just an episode, but when he got up the next day, he found that the atmosphere in the whole village became tense.

Not only Ido, but more than a dozen families in the village have similar symptoms. The symptoms of these people are very similar to those of Ido’s mother. They all have a high fever and will vomit constantly. Some people will also have bleeding in both eyes. symptom.

And that horrible look was like a curse from hell.

The appearance of these diseases immediately caused panic among the villagers, and everyone understood that this was a sign of the appearance of a plague.

As a result, there were no more idle villagers in the village. Some people simply left the village to avoid the plague and went to a nearby town to hide.

And families like Oschas did not have the ability to leave the village, so Oschas's mother could only close the door tightly to prevent the plague from breaking into the home through the door.

On this day, Oschatz just went to the river at ten early in the morning to get the necessary water for the whole day, and when he came back, he stayed behind closed doors.

This kind of response is the only way Namibia's official propaganda can deal with all plagues.

But this method, for the Oschatz family, does not seem to be so effective...

Time came to the third day.

When Oschatz woke up from his sleep after a night of restlessness, he only heard a moan from outside the room.

The moan came from the mother's room, with a painful breath, and at the same time, there was an intermittent retching sound.

Hearing this voice, Oschatz's heart tensed, and he quickly got out of bed and walked toward his mother's room, but only after two steps, he felt that his whole body muscles were sore.

Not only that, but Oschatz's head became groggy, with a splitting headache.

But Oschatz didn't care about this, he ran to his mother's room quickly, only to see her mother curled up on the bed with a large pool of dark brown vomit beside him.

As Oschatz came in, his mother slowly opened her eyes.

But at this time, there was blood red in the mother's eyes, and there was blood flowing down...

Seeing this scene, Oschatz's heart sank, he hurried out of the room, wanting to go to the village chief's house for help.

But just as he walked out of the door, Oschatz had a meal.

At this time, on the road of the whole village, looking all the way, more than a dozen villagers fell on the road, and the road of the village was covered with dark brown vomit. In just one night, the village of Begeland deteriorated irresistibly stand up.

There was a strong stench in the air, and Oschatz finally understood that the smell of blood and internal organs was the smell of death...
