Chapter 2203 - 2196: A Successful Scam
Although the Flask of Yin and Yang Essence was directly snatched by Zhang Menglong from the hands of the Golden Winged Great Peng, it was still somehow connected to the Super God Academy. Zhang Menglong needed to consume a considerable amount of Cred Points to use it. Quickly, he rushed to the Blood Pond and opened the flask.
"Suck for me!"
Instantly, a terrifying power surged out from the flask. The previously turbulent Blood Pond suddenly calmed down. A tornado rose from the Blood Pond, drew a path in the sky, and then streamed into the Flask of Yin and Yang Essence.
"Such overbearing power!" Zhang Menglong found it hard to estimate the capacity of the flask; at this rate, the Blood Pond would be completely drained in less than half a day!
Zhang Menglong decided to squat alone on the side and silently wait while collecting all the Supreme Crystals from the Blood Pond.
The area around the Blood Pond was still tightly guarded, and nobody noticed it was slowly drying up. By nighttime, the entire Blood Pond had turned into a basin.
Zhang Menglong arrived near the small cave entrance. Although there was no liquid left, it still fiercely spewed strong energy currents outward. Even a regular Eighth Grade Transcender would find it challenging to withstand this pressure to enter the cave.
"This place might at least require someone above Ninth Grade Transcender to barely set foot in, not a low threshold at all," Zhang Menglong muttered to himself.
Even though the Holy Soul Alliance was considered a powerful force, the number of Transcenders above Ninth Grade within the entire alliance wasn’t many. Having one hundred and eighty-nine was already pretty good, and at Peak Transcender level, apart from a few Emperors, there were just a few more.
To rely on these people to explore effective information might still be unrealistic.
"Looks like I’ll need to trick some people into coming," Zhang Menglong thought. Nobody would willingly become his tool, but to mobilize others to explore, there must be something attractive to them.
"Hehehe, won’t I deceive you into a cripple?" Zhang Menglong looked at the mountain of Supreme Crystals piled up in his space storage device.
These things were almost only useful for money to Zhang Menglong, but for other Transcenders, a single Supreme Crystal was enough to make them fight each other. With such temptation, there was no worry that no one would take the bait!
Zhang Menglong scattered a large pile of Supreme Crystals near the cave, then recorded a video and posted it directly on the Holy Soul Alliance’s public domain website.
...
Since the Blood Vortex Flow began, almost all Explorers fell into a state of unemployment, but for them, isn’t it also a wonderful vacation?
They squander the wealth they usually earn, leading lives that ordinary people envy. Of course, they occasionally pay attention to the Blood Pond’s status. Explorers even have a public forum where everyone certified as an Explorer can join.
However, tonight, a video suddenly appeared on the forum, claiming that the Blood Pond had dried up!
The title of the video made everyone burst into laughter. They’ve grown up but have never heard of such a thing as the Blood Pond drying up. The probability is even smaller than the disappearance of the entire Holy Soul Alliance. In fact, before the founding of the alliance’s several countries, the Blood Pond had already existed.
But when they clicked into the video, everyone was stunned.
According to their understanding of the Blood Pond, this place was definitely the Blood Pond!
But how had the previously turbulent Blood Pond turned into a bare basin at this moment?
"Supreme Crystals! It’s Supreme Crystals!"
Someone noticed that the ground was covered with a thick layer of Supreme Crystals, with a very considerable quantity.
"What is that thing? A vortex?"
"Looks like a cave! How come I never knew there’s such a place at the bottom of the Blood Pond?"
"Nonsense, how could anyone know? The Blood Pond’s depth exceeds 400,000 meters. Can anyone reach such a depth? And visibility is so low, even if you arrived, unless it’s right in front of you, it would be hard to discover such a place."
"Could this be the spring source of the Blood Pond?"
"What spring source? If it were a spring source, there should be a continuous flow of liquid coming out, but now there’s only an energy current, not even that!"
More and more people clicked into the video, and various communication voices rose one after another. The thing they want most now is to immediately go to the Blood Pond to see what has happened.
Some people, driven by curiosity, went to the edge of the Blood Pond, only to find that the guards had been quietly withdrawn!
Suddenly, almost all the Explorers of the Holy Soul Alliance rushed in, making the area around the Blood Pond crowded.
"Supreme Crystals!"
From afar, they could see a large amount of Supreme Crystals on the dry ground, a terrifying quantity unseen even by top-level Explorers!
Instantly, everyone rushed towards the Supreme Crystals, even engaging in fierce battles. Even if the combined Supreme Crystals of the entire Holy Soul Alliance were less, no one would want to give up this extravagant wealth.
But how could these scattered soldiers and warriors compare with the official forces of the Holy Soul Alliance? As soon as the guards discovered the Blood Pond’s disappearance, they reported it to the Emperors. With Zhang Menglong’s consent, they immediately dispatched the most elite troops to seal off the area directly.
Though the Transcenders were very tempted, they had no way to compete with the six major nations and could only look at these Supreme Crystals with watering mouths.
Soon, the Holy Soul Alliance completed the collection of all Supreme Crystals, totaling tens of billions! But Zhang Menglong’s aim was merely to attract attention, and he had achieved his goal!
Other countries on the Continent also quickly learnt about this matter. Although no one knew where the cave led, it was undoubtedly true that the birth of these Supreme Crystals was connected to the cave.
In this cave, could there be even more Supreme Crystals? They couldn’t help but start pondering. But no one knew what dangers resided here, and no one dared to be the first to take the plunge.
"A bunch of cowardly wretches!"
A Transcender cursed and walked out from the crowd. Zhang Menglong saw this person during the Explorer assessment; he held the deepest exploration record in the Blood Pond throughout the Holy Soul Alliance!
His name was Monton, a Peak Transcender strongman, someone who even the Emperors of the Holy Soul Alliance had to show some respect.
He walked towards the cave, but at about ten meters from it, he was suddenly blown away by the enormous energy, looking extremely embarrassed.
"Interesting!" He got up without a trace of dismay, and surprisingly, he was holding a huge Supreme Crystal in his hand! This thing was ejected from the cave!
In other words, this cave could potentially be a treasure ground!
Zhang Menglong couldn’t help but smile on the side; where was this Supreme Crystal ejected from? Zhang Menglong used secret space techniques to hide it in the space around the cave!
Seeing Monton’s expression, Zhang Menglong knew this con was successful!
