I looked up slowly.
"I don't want you to kneel."
a little wrinkle on his eyeball. That's what Grandpa Will said.
I feel a little strange that my eyes are staring at me.
He grabbed my shoulder gently and lifted me up gently to make me stand.
"Alicia? What the hell is going on? What the fuck, man?
Jill peeks into my face wondering.
Yeah, I know...
"Master, you've changed a lot."
Rebecca said that in a bright tone.
"I don't know what to call it."
Both Jill and Rebecca opened their eyes to my whining.
"Huh? Is that why you're here?
"Yes, Alicia, what's wrong?
"I know that. But..."
He's right in front of me, not Grandpa Will... he's Seeker Will.
I won't change my attitude when I know who I am. Doing that doesn't make sense here first...
The next time I saw him, I was going to treat Grandpa Will as usual.
Yet the man in front of me now is not Uncle Will.
I'm surprised this majesty and intelligence has been hidden so far.
Of course I knew it was clever. But that was the first time I could tell from talking, and I couldn't tell from appearance alone.
The eyes in his left eye are supposed to be my eyes, but I've never seen them like this.
Thoughtful, intelligent, somewhere lonely, eyes as if they foresee everything in the world......
I can tell by just looking in those eyes that he has lived a life so spectacular that I can't imagine.
That's when I remembered the words Grandpa Will used to say in my brain.
I wonder why I just remembered that story...... Maybe those slightly sad eyes of his made him think so.
"Alicia, whatever my name is."
That's what he said and smiled at me. That's the usual smile.
The atmosphere has just changed and nothing has changed.
"Will...... is that your uncle?
I said that with a small, leaning neck and a faint voice. I managed to make a smile but I'm sure I looked like I was going to cry then.
"Sure, you feel more like an uncle now than a grandfather. Should I say old man, too?"
"Isn't that okay there?
That's what Jill and Rebecca laughed at.
Uncle Will... Uncle Will looked warmly at the condition.
But you seem to notice my expression. And you also know what I've learned.
I wanted to know Uncle Will's past before I asked how this village was improving.
How could he have been blinded, expelled from the royal palace, and come to a poor village?
There have been several times I have wanted to know. But I thought that was a story you shouldn't go into.
But now I want to know from the bottom of my heart. I crave the truth as never before.
I took a small breath and stretched my spine up.
"We're not talking about friends, we're talking about Uncle Will, are we?
That's what I once said as I looked straight into my eyes.
