"Well, I'm sure Alicia will deny it anyway, even if I do."
"Do you like it..."
"Huh?"
Look at me as Jill opens her eyes to my words.
... I wonder if I'm saying something so strange. I meant to say the answer Jill wanted to hear.
"Alicia, love is a romantic circumstance, right?
"I know."
"Really?"
I wonder why I should bother telling lies.
Earlier, when you were in Master Duke's shoes and thought about it, you were kind of a mess. I kind of hate it when you like girls other than me, Master Duke. I've been thinking about how you should stick with heroin, but now you kind of hate it a little bit. But I have to push and kill this emotion for my dreams.
I've never heard of a bad girl sticking with a prince. In the end, it sticks with heroin.
Looks like the Virgin and Prince are supposed to be married in this country, and... that means Mr. Liz and Master Duke are getting married, right?
"... I don't know"
"I just found out."
"I said... I don't know anymore. I feel like I'm in a complicated maze."
"Yeah, but I think Alicia's grown up pretty good."
Jill nodded and said so.... I wonder why it's so eye-catching from the top.
"In the meantime, I need to see Master Duke and apologize"
"Apologize?
"Yeah, this time. I'll make you look like a bad girl, of course."
"I could spare you some more time."
"Now, if the world suddenly dies, I can't be obsessed with what I couldn't apologize for."
"Oh, well, let's go see him now"
Jill said so with a slight loosening of her eyes.
"Master Duke's in class right now, isn't he?
That's what I said while keeping my voice as low as I could so I wouldn't sound in the hallway.
"We're all in class, not just Duke. We're just hanging around."
"Want to go into Master Duke's classroom during class?
"That sounds like a bad girl, annoying though"
"Everybody's asleep anyway, let's get you in instead of an alarm clock."
"I'm telling you to be good, but it's a bad thing."
"Bad girls do bad things."
"Yes, sir."
Somehow, lately, Jill's really more like an adult. I wonder how I can be more grown-up.
No, I should look like an adult for fifteen, too. 'Cause as a human history, I've lived about thirty years since my last life. Jill is so special.
We went straight through the hallway in silence and headed to Master Duke's classroom.
It's a really big, beautiful hallway. The floor is marble, right? That's not good yet. But the chandelier in the hallway is a little crazy. Kind of more of a palace than a school.
"Mr. Liz should improve from here when she becomes queen."
"What? Why is Cather Liz planning to be queen?
Jill stared at me with her face up.
"The Virgin, right? I'll be engaged to Master Duke someday."
"I don't think Duke would ever do that."
"It's national rules, isn't it?
Jill turned her eyes round to my words. Apparently, it was a surprise that I followed the country's rules.
"What's wrong with that? You just have to break that, Alicia's a bad girl, right?
"No matter how many bad girls, you can't disrupt discipline. If we nobles don't follow the rules, what the hell do civilians have to follow?
"... sure, so is that. But Duke wants to get engaged to Alicia."
"If I really like Duke, I'll push my emotions to death."
Jill began to think about something with a little silence. Maybe you didn't like my answer? But Jill seems to be thinking the same thing about me...
"It says in the Bible that the devil killed ten humans,"
Jill's voice was very low and ever increasing and serious.
Oh, I haven't read the Bible yet.... You've already been completely plucked by Jill. I need to work harder, too.
"God, I killed two hundred and thirty-eight thousand three hundred and forty-four people."
Jill said that quietly staring at the distance.
... there are about a few different digits.
"So, Alicia, even if they say Cather Liz is the Virgin, the Virgin to me is Williams Alicia."
Jill looked at me too seriously and said so, so I accidentally lost my word.
What brilliant eyes you have. If Master Duke is king and Jill is prime minister, I'm sure this country will be the best in the world.
Oh, here we are.
I said that quietly as I stood in front of the classroom where Master Duke was. It's bad for boulders not to follow school rules, even if they're still allowed to, but not national rules, right?
I gently laid my hands on the door with that in mind.
