I’m a Dullahan, Looking for My Head

Durahan seems like a dangerous demon.

I had come to the Adventurer Guild early in the morning with Sisty, wearing the cloak that had been ejected by the Wild Horse Adventurer again during the night.

First of all, gold. There is money in the world to do anything.

That doesn't change in this other world either.

I just have money to live in. I also have money to buy books. To buy a safe house.

So we came early in the morning to find out if there were any blind quests to make money.

Quests are posted to the Quest Board early in the morning.

So the adventurers get together early in the morning to try and find some good quests.

Well, some of them use that freedom to show up in the middle of the day or in the evening. It's good to be free.

"I mean, this is the first time I've been to the guild in the morning... but we're all good in the morning."

We've come all the way to the door of the Alliance, but it's already busy in the Alliance.

The excited voices of the adventurers are rising.

What is it like to have a blast from this morning?

It's like the adventurers are having an evening feast.

"Are you even having a banquet all night?

"There's no way. By midnight, you'll be expelled from the Alliance. Otherwise, there will be adventurers staying in the guild."

When I raised my voice of doubt, Sisty looked up at me and shouted at me.

Are there people who are so thick?

"No, because when I say adventurer, I have the image of drinking at night and just banqueting"

At least it was in games and cartoons.

Make a quest and earn a dime, par and banquet at night.

That's good. You know what? I regret that I haven't been able to do that at all since I became this body.

"…… so it fits."

"I knew you were."

"Well, the quest will be pasted out in the morning, and maybe you found a good one?

"Right. Do we find a good quest?"

I want to buy a big sword soon, and I want a house.

"Right. Do you still want to crusade Agil Buffalo today?

"Fine, but you can run with your cape."

"Sorry. Let's make it another quest"

What a light-hearted word to enter the guild,

"" Wha!?

There have been adventurers discussing it vigorously in the morning. That's not a strange sight, but what's strange is how it looks.

More than half the adventurers in the guild wore red capes.

"You said, uh! Did you hear any rumors about the rookie yesterday? With this red cloak, I hear Agil Buffalo's following you like you're funny, huh? I'm gonna hook you up, and you guys are gonna come over here excited, and you're gonna spear him from the side!

And those who say so.

"Now if we can gather a whole bunch of them together, we need magic in them all at once! But don't take sides like an outgoing wizard, okay?

And those who set up the same operation as me.

"I'll draw them to this point. So I dropped him in a big pit..."

and varied from those that firmly set up the operation.

"... does this mean they're all aigil buffalo aiming?

"…… Sounds like it."

Apparently, I heard yesterday that we crusaded more than twenty cows at once, and that means we're going to make some rough money that way.

They must have spread the word because of the wild horse adventurers.

So, you're saying we're getting ready and getting together early the next morning?

"Hey, that's the outside road."

"Shh! Be quiet. If they buy you a grudge, you might get punched out of your back during your quest."

"Whoa..."

I'm worried about the outward wizard who sounds like a flicker from earlier...

You're not supposed to be Sisty next to me, are you? Unlike yesterday's curiosity, I feel like I'm gathering my fearful gaze.

"……… That's a strange sight."

However, the person in question did not notice the appearance, and looked indoors.

It is very surreal that adventurers in red capes are at the table or talking to each other.

It's like I've even gotten lost in a cosplay venue for an American hero.

I can't even tell you how it feels to be wearing a red cape even though it doesn't look good on me.

"Well, either way, if all these adventurers tried to crusade cows the way they did yesterday, they'd be crowded"

"Right. I'm scared we're gonna bump into each other."

From me, I'm afraid Sisty's magic will hit other adventurers.

When the adventurers in the red cape kept popping out of the guild and calmed down.

We were looking at the quest board.

"There's a lot of quests when you look at it this way."

Crusade quests and sampling, mining, escorts, cleaning the roof of the house, luggage hauling and miscellaneous quests were affixed to the quest board.

"That's right. This is the king's capital, where so many people gather? Naturally, a lot of adventurers will gather, and a lot of quests will be posted here."

"Hmm, how about this?

Sisty reads out some quests.

It's a crusade of goblins, an army ant nest survey, an auga crusade, the exorcism of the Blue Bear, and a crusade quest of demons that would inhabit the vicinity of the king's capital.

Because of the difficulty, it seems like a quest that even the newcomers could make.

As I watched as Sisty explained to me, I caught sight of a sticker that bothered me.

"…… Skeleton's Crusade on the Mourning Plains?

When I grab a sticker with a realistic skeleton painting, Sisty warps her eyebrows and makes an unpleasant voice.

"Yeah? Skeleton's crusade? You want to take that quest? The Mourning Plains are a long way from here, and there's a lot of mist and a lot of undead, isn't there? We can't do this together."

Hey! The undead are finally here!? Would I be able to see the undead if I went there, too?

Isn't there a Durahan like me?

"No, I didn't want to take it, I was curious because I'm not familiar with undead demons. What demons are there"

"I hope so. Hey Skeleton, Skeleton Archer, Skeleton Warrior…………"

"I'm sorry. I don't even have to go into details about the demons of my lineage!

There are definitely dozens of different kinds of skeletons alone. Then it will take too much time.

"So is that. Could there be basically a lot of guys like Skeleton, Zombie, Soul Eater, Skeleton Dragon, Rich, Reis, etc? And then it feels like they're warriors, bugs, different kinds, reinforced systems."

I nod to Sisty, who even replies, "I see."

"Skeleton nights, skeleton generals, etc. on that reinforcement system, right?

"Yeah, that's right. It's not like you don't know anything about it."

Sisty says as a little impressed.

Well, it was a classic demon in the game.

When that happens, it feels like the Immortal King or something exists in those evolutionary forms. It's a different world with the same demons as the game. It's not strange to be there.

But the key thing is unknown.

"How about Durahan, then?

If you know what Durahan is like in this world, even if you're not on the plain of mourning.

That's the information you need to hear. It also leads to a grasp of your power.

"Durahan? You rarely get such dangerous demons, do you? If there was a Durahan, an urgent crusade quest would be ordered."

"What!?

It sounds like a more dangerous demon than I expected, and I accidentally raise my voice to surprise.

"What's wrong with screaming all of a sudden?

"Er......... does Durahan feel like such a dangerous demon?

"Of course I do. He's a fierce undead who hates the living, isn't he? It's dangerous because he's got a lot of defense over a horse with no neck and a big sword."

"Oh, oh, that's a dangerous demon......"

It seemed like a more dangerous demon than I had imagined, and the words shriveled.

How dangerous it is to imagine yourself being attacked by people across purple flames.

Running without the magic or attack of the line, waving the Great Sword was easy to imagine looking at previous battles.

If I find out I'm Durahan, the crusade will be ordered as a matter of urgency.

"Well, you can leave such a dangerous undead to the Virgin. That's today's quest. Which one?

Sisty flips the sticker back in my hand.

The Virgin again? Or maybe the Virgin will win. Whoa. Hey.

Well, leave Durahan alone for a moment, and Sisty mentioned the quest for Goblin, Army Ali, Auga, and Blue Bear earlier.

Other quests can be far from the king's capital and pass.

The first step is to defeat the demons around the King's Capital and increase their strength one by one.

The other ones seem to be difficult simply because they have strong demons or no experience.

Hmm, goblins aren't even so rewardingly delicious demons. It's a lot around there, so I think I can take it down on the road.

Army ants are those insect ants, right? No matter how I think about it, I'm only willing to be surrounded and slapped.

Auga seems strong. Rejected.

... Blue Bear? I fought Lord Bear a lot in the Devil's Forest, and this guy is going to be able to take him down easily.

I've already gained my heart when fighting bears.

It's best to hold your head in your arms and break it.

In Lord Bear's case, the icicle on his back was in the way, and he struggled because he was going to fly it, but as far as the illustration goes, he doesn't seem to be growing anything like an icicle. I can do this!

"How about a blue bear?
