Chapter 483: Let’s Make a Plan
The doctor said there was nothing wrong with Adrian Quincy’s reproductive health, and that Claire Sinclair was perfectly normal as well.
So, Claire Sinclair was confused. "Then why haven’t I gotten pregnant?"
The doctor said in all seriousness, "It’s either a matter of technique or not timing it with your ovulation. These things take time. There’s nothing wrong with either of you physically. The issue is just the timing, so just keep trying."
Claire Sinclair was at a loss for words.
Still, the results of this check-up were a relief.
’It wasn’t a physical issue that was stopping her from getting pregnant, but that they just hadn’t been trying hard enough...’
’But if what The Great Demon King Quincy did didn’t count as trying hard, what did?’
Unable to puzzle it out, Claire Sinclair looked up at the man’s calm, handsome face. "Mr. Quincy, I think we should make a plan."
"What kind of plan?"
Claire Sinclair blushed. "Let’s talk about it when we get back to the hotel."
’This is a hospital, after all. She’d even be embarrassed to talk about it in the car, so it was better to wait until they got back.’
Adrian Quincy had no objection and returned to the hotel with her.
As soon as she closed the door, Claire Sinclair eagerly pulled him down onto the sofa and got straight to the point. "Mr. Quincy, let’s make a plan to get pregnant!"
"Alright. What do you have in mind?" Adrian Quincy asked, his gaze fixed on her glistening eyes with great interest. Inwardly, he was eager to get started.
Claire Sinclair thought for a long moment before saying with a blush, "Didn’t the doctor just say I’m ovulating right now? Why don’t we seize the opportunity and give it a try? This time, you have to go slowly, don’t be in such a rush. I think maybe the reason I haven’t gotten pregnant is that you’re too fast."
"Right now?"
"Um, maybe tonight. It feels a little weird in broad daylight."
The words had barely left her lips when the man suddenly leaned in, his presence imposing and full of mischief.
Before she knew it, Claire Sinclair found herself cornered on the narrow sofa, a flutter of nervousness in her heart.
The man loomed over her, looking down at her flushed face. His gaze slowly drifted downward, growing heated. "Claire, let’s go over there."
He pointed toward the bathroom.
Claire Sinclair’s face burned, and her voice hitched in a stutter. "Th-that’s the bathroom!"
Adrian Quincy said nonchalantly, "I want to show you something different."
Her interest was instantly piqued. "What is it???"
Before she could finish her sentence, he swept her up into his arms and carried her into the bathroom.
...
From dawn until dusk, Claire Sinclair was collapsed on the bed in exhaustion. She was finally woken by the enticing aroma of food.
She shot upright, her gaze landing on the dining table. "That smells amazing!"
Adrian Quincy walked over, a triumphant look on his face. "Claire, I just thought of a new move."
"!!!"
"Don’t be nervous. We’ll try it tonight. Get up and eat first."
"Okay..." ’That scared me to death.’
–
Claire Sinclair had a rare two-day break from filming at the camp. As a result, she spent nearly the entire time in bed.
By eight o’clock on the evening of the second day, Claire Sinclair refused to let the man anywhere near her. She sat by herself on the sofa, opened her laptop, and punctually tuned in to the sixth episode of the show.
This episode’s theme was an ethics evaluation, and it revealed all of the hidden character assessments from the first three episodes.
These included the lost phone test in the first episode; posting three social media updates and making two phone calls in the second; and the objective evaluation of the mentors in the third. In reality, none of the three assessments were deliberate traps; they were all very normal tasks.
Notably, this episode revealed to the public the truth behind the first contestant who was eliminated for failing the ethics evaluation—
