She had no idea which moron had proposed this segment. It was clearly designed to humiliate her.

Cecily Taylor casually picked up her microphone. Before speaking, she gave Claire Sinclair a pointed look, her provocative gaze couldn’t have been more obvious.

"If you like me, pick me. Come on." It was a short and simple pitch. She didn’t need to say anything else; Cecily Taylor was confident that with the resources she commanded, plenty of contestants would flock to her.

Mimi Fisher and Master also gave their pitches, though theirs sounded rather official.

Finally, it was Claire Sinclair’s turn. She looked at the 35 contestants and said apologetically, "If you have no other choice and have to join my team, I want to apologize in advance. My professional expertise won’t be of much help to you—"

"Claire," Adrian Quincy suddenly interrupted.

Claire Sinclair looked at him, confused. "What’s wrong?"

Adrian Quincy took the microphone from her hand. Facing the 35 contestants, he said in a deep voice, "As it happens, I’m on vacation for the next few days, so I’ll be accompanying Claire. Anyone who wants to work with me is welcome to join her team. What’s Claire’s is mine, and what’s mine is Claire’s."

As soon as he said this, everyone was stunned.

No one had expected Young Master Quincy to dote on his girlfriend to this extent. How many men in the world could do something like that?

Unfortunately, as touching as their love story was, the contestants weren’t here for romance. They began moving to stand before the mentors they trusted, leaving the space in front of Claire Sinclair’s name completely empty.

However, a few of the most popular contestants hadn’t moved yet, seemingly still hesitating.

Leonard Bishop, the contestant Claire Sinclair favored the most, remained in his seat, perfectly still, his expression calm and unhurried.

Leonard Bishop was the most well-rounded of all the contestants, but unfortunately, he was perennially stuck in second place. Ahead of him was a contestant named Liam Linden, who, despite being slightly less skilled in singing and dancing, was far more popular and always kept him down.

Liam Linden chose Cecily Taylor without hesitation. Cecily Taylor was grinning from ear to ear. In her eyes, whoever Liam Linden chose was guaranteed to win. She was certain of victory in this mentor competition.

The other top-ranked contestants also made their choices. Many went to Mimi Fisher and Master, and before long, the three celebrity mentors’ teams were full with nine members each. The eight contestants who remained were left with only one option: Claire Sinclair.

Surprisingly, Leonard Bishop, who ranked second in popularity, ended up on Claire Sinclair’s team.

Once all the teams were assembled, the four mentors led their respective members to their designated classrooms.

Inside the last classroom, Claire Sinclair’s eight team members wore varied expressions. Some looked dejected, others were calm and composed, and a few were letting their imaginations run wild.

The eight members only focused their attention when Claire Sinclair and Adrian Quincy walked in. All eyes fell upon the perfect couple.

Adrian Quincy personally brought a chair over for Claire Sinclair and had her sit down. Then, like a knight, he stood silently behind her without saying a word.

Claire Sinclair looked at the eight members across from her, her gaze finally landing on Leonard Bishop. She couldn’t help but ask, "Leonard Bishop, why did you choose my team?"

The other seven had been left with no choice, but Leonard Bishop had deliberately chosen her team. This puzzled Claire Sinclair.

Leonard Bishop answered directly, "Because I knew no one else wanted to choose Professor Sinclair. That’s unfair to her, so I wanted to stand up for her."

"So you’re saying you’re standing up for me?" Claire Sinclair concluded.

Leonard Bishop nodded readily. "You could say that, Professor Sinclair. I’ll do everything I can to help the rest of our team complete this challenge."
