The Wind Spirit Crocodile was indeed a step down from the Wind Bird, mainly because it wasn’t as purely specialized in the Wind Element. However, it had some Water Element abilities, which opened up more possibilities.

A Wind-Water dual-attribute beast, the Wind Spirit Crocodile generally lived in water but could take to the air for short periods in a crisis. Its speed was not the least bit slower than other Spirit Beasts of the same tier, placing it in the top ranks.

When Yu Changsheng heard this, he was pleasantly surprised. He nodded and said, "A Wind Spirit Crocodile? That works too!"

His Golden-Winged Eagle had already been fused with a fishtail, so pairing it with a Wind-Water dual-attribute Wind Spirit Crocodile would naturally be no problem. In fact, it was quite suitable.

More importantly, Yu Changsheng had a cheat-like ability. As long as the Grade was sufficient and the attributes didn’t conflict, it would be more than enough for the breakthrough.

"Alright. Since you like it and think it’ll work, then take it. I happened to bring it with me."

Li Minghan nodded and handed Yu Changsheng a Storage Pouch, which contained the specially prepared Wind Spirit Crocodile.

Like the Three-Winged Golden Flame Snake, this Wind Spirit Crocodile was also a corpse, but it was extremely well-preserved.

"I already took huge advantage of you with the Three-Winged Golden Flame Snake last time. I can’t do that again. Just tell me what it costs."

Yu Changsheng waved his hand, looking a little embarrassed.

"If you refuse to take my money again, then I can’t accept this Wind Spirit Crocodile."

"The Odd Demon Pavilion?" Yu Changsheng was taken aback for a moment, a trace of surprise flashing across his face.

"I’ve heard of it, yes. Why?" Yu Changsheng nodded affirmatively, wondering what Li Minghan was about to say.

"Mm..." Li Minghan mused. His brow unfurrowed, and he let out a breath. "Then I’ll be honest with you. I have a particular fondness for Red Armor Class Spirit Beasts. From the moment I first saw your Red Refining Snake, Changsheng, I wanted to befriend you."

"My main goal was to see how you raise them, so we could exchange some ideas."

As he said this, Li Minghan’s sincerity was palpable. A light seemed to shine in his eyes, making it clear that his fondness was genuine.

"I see," Yu Changsheng nodded. He wasn’t surprised, just a little curious. "So... Senior Brother Li, you want..."

"Well, you see," Li Minghan chuckled, a little awkwardly rubbing his hands and touching his nose. "Here’s the thing...

’The Red-scaled Pangolin... isn’t that just the Tier One Seventh Layer Spirit Beast I fused and raised at the Odd Demon Pavilion in my spare time after reaching Foundation Establishment?’

’It did look quite impressive, covered in red scales with very high Comprehension. Its growth potential was probably the highest among all the Spirit Beasts I’ve fused so far. I created it by chance, on a whim, so I decided to make it a showpiece—a not-for-sale item to represent the Odd Demon Pavilion.’

’And now Li Minghan had taken a liking to it. On second thought, that seemed pretty normal. After all, leaving everything else aside, the Red-scaled Pangolin was undeniably handsome in appearance.’

’There were even rumors that it possessed a trace of the Ancestral Beast Celestial Vault Pangolin’s bloodline...’

Yu Changsheng nodded, pursing his lips in a thoughtful expression. He looked conflicted, but soon waved his hand as if having made a great decision, and said magnanimously:

Look, just tell me how much I owe you after subtracting the cost of the Wind Spirit Crocodile. I can’t have you putting in the effort and spending your own money."

’Incredibly valuable...?’ Yu Changsheng’s expression remained unchanged, but inwardly he was muttering to himself.

’It’s rare, sure, but in terms of value, there’s simply no comparison to this Second-stage Spirit Beast, the Wind Spirit Crocodile, okay?’
