I Tame Beasts by Feeding

Most people on Beast Taming Peak had some impression of Yu Changsheng. However, they only knew him for his skill in Alchemy and never imagined his Beast Taming Talent would also be so outstanding.

After all, they figured that since Yu Changsheng was so good at Alchemy, he must have spent all his time on it, which naturally meant his Beast Taming couldn’t be very good.

After giving a casual response, Yu Changsheng turned his attention back to Mu Zeyu.

Mu Zeyu’s opponent was a plain-looking man named Zhang Yaoting. He was one of the more senior Qi Refining Disciples, but his talent was average and nothing special.

His Cultivation was only at the Qi Refining Eighth Layer, and his Spirit Pet, a Water Swallow Turtle, was at the same Realm. Among the contestants, he was considered middle-of-the-pack.

Even so, not many people favored Mu Zeyu in this match. There was no particular reason other than while Zhang Yaoting might be a nobody, Mu Zeyu left even less of an impression on them.

Mu Zeyu, in particular, seemed so unremarkable that people would subconsciously overlook him.

This didn’t surprise Zhang Yaoting. As an older disciple, he was usually reserved but possessed his own pride. At this moment, he looked at the frail-looking Mu Zeyu with a hint of disdain.

"A mere Qi Refining Sixth Layer Cultivation? I’d advise you to just obediently step down and surrender."

Zhang Yaoting said coolly after sensing Mu Zeyu’s Status.

"Water Swallow Turtle, end this battle quickly!"

The Water Swallow Turtle, as its name suggested, was a Water Attribute Spirit Pet. Its speed was impressive, its defense was quite good, and it was skilled in Water Magic, making it an excellent and troublesome Spirit Pet.

Unsurprisingly, from Zhang Yaoting’s perspective, Mu Zeyu showed a panicked expression. He seemed frozen in place, as if he was too scared to even think of counterattacking.

"Water Swallow Turtle, enhance! Green Waves Like Thunder!"

The moment Zhang Yaoting’s words fell, the Water Swallow Turtle’s figure distorted in mid-air. Amid flashes of blue light, a mist of water appeared around it. The mist quickly condensed into a ball of blue light that coated the Water Swallow Turtle’s wings, making them seem heavy. Blue, watery patterns, like bolts of lightning, flickered across the wings before it viciously slashed down at the Hidden Heart Fox!

"BOOM!"

It was as if a real Thunderbolt had exploded on the platform. Where the Water Swallow Turtle’s slash had struck, dirt and stone flew into the air amidst clouds of dust. Visible cracks spiderwebbed across the ground.

Zhang Yaoting’s face immediately filled with smug satisfaction, as if he was certain this one strike had guaranteed his victory.

However...

"What the hell is Zhang Yaoting doing? Did he suddenly go crazy? Why is he using his ultimate move on such a random spot?"

"Yeah, look, Mu Zeyu seems completely stunned. He looks speechless at what he’s doing."

The crowd below erupted in discussion, frowning and pointing at Zhang Yaoting.
