18. Sage Visits Adventurer Guild

"What town is this?

"This is Medicine town. Does it have a population of about 10,000? I stopped by because it's halfway through the town of Orti. It's a reasonably big town."

"... for what, a lot less crowded? Is it my fault?

"No, it won't be my fault. Um, excuse me for a second."

"Yes, what is it?

I happen to grab a passerby on the street and ask him what's going on.

"Why is this happening? Actually, a Demon Forest recently appeared near town. So the kingdoms are sending knights and adventurers. It's completely panicky when commerce stops."

"I see. Copy that, thanks."

The townspeople left.

"Oh, he looked at me, he turned his eyes, and then he looked at me like he was jealous of my husband? Did you find out I was a dragon? It's supposed to be perfect anthropomorphism."

I said as I looked down at myself.

"Hmm, you don't. By and large, a man is something I envy when I see a beauty with him."

"!? You mean, then my husband has a high nose too!!

Well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well.

"No, I don't want to stand out if I can. Rather, it was an unexpected blind spot. It's difficult."

"Giffoon!"

It is quite an emotionally expressive dragon. Whatever.

"What did the earlier man say about the Devil's Forest?

"A monster's nest made by the Demon King, something like that. If we don't get rid of it early, we're in big trouble. Anyway, unlike dungeons, there is no limit to the scope of the monster's actions. Leave it alone and the town will be destroyed."

"Is it hard to get rid of even your husband?

"No way."

I shake my head. This country will be over if we get to that stage.

Besides,

"There are stages 1 through 5 in the Devil's Forest. Probably still in the first stage. At that stage, you wouldn't mind leaving it to everyone. If you have any trouble with that, the brave men will be sent."

"I see. I hope it meets my husband's expectations."

I snort.

"You'll find out more about the Adventurer Alliance if you show your face."

"With the Adventurer Guild? Is that where your husband belongs?

"That's right. Well, the rank is" C. "

Adventurer rankings range from E to S. So it's quicker to count from below.

"Isn't that crazy? I don't care what you think. Isn't it obvious there's a flaw in the mechanism?

Geschpentdragon's daughter, Colette said with a frown root.

But I shook my head to the side.

"A social system does not work unless it is kept at a general level. Can't you even say it's my fault I'm a stickler?

Colette closed her big eyes, and let it be,

"I see. Sure, my husband is out of standard. Well, that's not a lonely thing to do."

"You think so?

"Uhm! The dragon species are the same. It's too strong, no one can get close, and it's not coming close! Not with you!

"No, I'm the type of person who wants to live as a normal person. I always thought I didn't want to stand out like a dragon."

"Oh my god, you traitor!?

Talk about that and head to the Adventurer Guild.

"Anyway, let me tell you something, I'm the one who banished the brave party. The truth is, they nested from me, to be reckoned with, but blind to the world. As I would like to understand, I tend to distort the facts. So I guess I might get some kind of penalty in the Adventurer Guild."

"Then I'll burn you down in this town!

Strongly. There was a trace leak of Kisher and flame from my mouth.

"I'm happy to feel it, Colette. If you don't change your mind, it's hard to do it in human society, right?

"Hmm. You mean I have to change my mind if I'm to be with my husband for good?

Forever? "That's what I mean," he nods, leaning his neck at the word.

Then it happened that Colette listened with enthusiasm.

Why not?

"As I said earlier, the social system is tailored to the average person. Then, as a reversal idea, people like me can get down to that level and go with them."

I'm pale.

"It's the duty of those who have it."

"Hey, I see! Eye to eye scales! My husband isn't so bad! I will be kind to those who descend!

"It's not like it's going down. You just have to remember you're special."

"You got it!

I wasn't sure if I really knew, but I wouldn't suddenly burn down the city for now. One of my additions and one of my towns disappears from the map. Preserving the business of the ordinary people who live here is also a role, I guess, when it comes to roles.

Well, I arrived at the Adventurer's Guild while we were talking about that.

I opened the door and glanced around.

I found the atmosphere to be more tingly than usual. There were a lot of people, and they gave us the creeps that came in. Apparently, something's going on for sure.

There is no requisition sticking out at all on the bulletin board either. There should usually be a large number of requests.

"As expected, something seems to be happening"

"What are we going to do?

"Right... Let's just go to the reception counter."

I went to the receptionist and spoke to the receptionist there.

"I'm sorry. I'd like to ask you something."

"Excuse me, may I see your name?

The receptionist said whether she was busy or not, looking down.

"Oh, right. I'm Ariake-Mihama. And this is Colette-Dubroisis. I'm the only one with an adventurer registration..."

And when I said that halfway through, the receptionist looked up at me surprised, and then he looked at me.

"Ariake-Mihama that you banished that brave party ⁉"

I said it out loud.

In the meantime, the surrounding eyes turn this way as well.

"Yes, but..."

"Hey, wait there! Okay, don't run away! Oh, there is a" From the Kingdom "!! Gi, guild leader ~!"

That's what I'm saying. Running up the back stairs to the second floor.

The surroundings began to wander all at once.

"Oh man, will it still be a big deal"

I sighed. Besides, more importantly, it's not from the kingdom. It's a big deal for adventurers.

I want to live in the country inconspicuously and secluded...
