"Boy, can I talk to you for a second? I need to talk to you."

A merchant man who always comes to the village tells me.

Just right.

We've just made a new one.

What I sell to peddlers are sandals made of dove stems and magical mushrooms that are finally starting to increase production.

However, sandals are terribly cheap per unit and can only take a few magical mushrooms.

So I was thinking of getting the dishes I made the other day.

"Actually, I want you to sell the bricks you make at the boy's house. You recently built a new house, didn't you? I saw something quite splendid."

"Huh? I've had a house for a long time, and I haven't built a new one... Are you talking about the storeroom?

"Huh? Is that brick building a storeroom? No, well, it's fine if it's a storage facility. Ask your parents to sell that brick anyway."

"It's okay. I've made too many of them. I have a better product than that. I made a new dish. Buy it."

"Hmm, dishes... No, I want bricks now. Let me see it again."

"Don't say that. I'll never lose it because it's a good thing. Look at this."

Apparently, the merchant's old man thinks a lot about bricks and is not very interested in dishes.

But at least white porcelain and glassware like I've never seen in this village will be rare.

I show new products with confidence.

"Oh, this is amazing. They're all beautiful. How did you make it?

"Secret. Besides, you'll buy me this."

"Oh, that's fine. Let me buy it with the bricks."

I thought that the negotiations with the merchant were over.

However, when I finished loading the bricks I had left near the house and checking them out, it turned out to be something I didn't expect.

You can definitely buy dishes made of white porcelain or glass at a high price.

That's what I thought, and I didn't doubt it.

But the merchant paid much less than I thought.

You should buy more.

That's what happened, but the result hasn't changed much.

They just say that they still buy it for several times the price of regular dishes.

I objected that someone would buy such a clean glass at a high price, but it was no good.

Basically, it is the ordinary people who live in the city and village that this peddler does business.

Not many people spend that much on dishes and things like that.

Then I think we should sell it to the rich, but it's not that easy.

Wealthy people don't actively target peddlers who do business around the village.

I only interact with merchants I've known for a long time, and I can't get in between.

From the other side, you feel that you can't do it unless you feel thankful even if you just buy it for a few times the usual price.

Good things don't always sell.

Words came to mind that I heard somewhere.

No matter how great a product is, it doesn't just sell.

Rather, what mattered was how to advertise the product so it could be sold.

However, there is no TV, newspaper or internet here.

If it is expensive, it will be aimed at the wealthy, such as the aristocrats.

How do I make the wealthy want to buy it?

Perhaps the best publicity is a track record like "It's also used in noble homes there."

However, there are no necessary connections to get that track record.

I wonder how many peddlers I have appealed to for new products this is pointless.

I was disappointed, but I promised to keep selling bricks in the future.
