"Hmm, it's not a cobblestone anymore..."

I succeeded in creating a new spell called [Hardened Brick Generation].

The bricks produced by the spell are much harder than ever.

Moreover, even if there are no big pig fangs or Valkyrie horns used as ingredients, you can create them from the soil simply by activating magic.

Once again, I realize that magical convenience is amazing.

I was considering whether it could be applied to other products using the cured brick.

First, I decided to use hardened bricks for the spell "Road Laying", which had not yet been completely spelled.

I've tried a lot before, and I thought I'd try to build an ancient Roman cobblestone road when building roads in the future.

To improve drainage, roads can be used for a long period of time by digging the ground and making loose arches of heavy stones from large and small stones laid with clay, gravel, etc.

I thought I'd turn the stone on top of this into a hardened brick.

The width of the road is about 6 m, and a sidewalk with a slight step on both sides is to be installed.

By doing so, Valkyrie pulled a truck through the middle road, and the pedestrians thought it would be safe to walk on the sidewalk.

But magically, I was able to create something that wasn't the cobblestone road I imagined.

The reason is simple.

The hardened brick was laying on top of it.

Cured bricks as clean as marble.

It's all neatly laid out in the same size.

The roads are like a single rock all the way.

I think the cobblestone is more thick, but there are no such irregularities.

In this case, even if you are riding a carriage, you must have less vibration.

"It's not what I imagined, but it's okay. It would be much better than a big one."

Though I have a slightly different impression, I didn't want to reproduce it completely just by referring to the ancient Roman streets.

I thought it would be useful enough, so I spelled the finished road so that I could make it with conditional reflection after I input it with Memory Storage magic.

"Lord Ars. The new building you requested was completed. Look at that."

It was around the time I finished laying roads on the land inside the walls by making hardened bricks or performing a curse culture of [road laying].

Grant came and told me that the building he had asked for had been completed.

Gran counted the total number of bricks I had prepared, and he used them to draw drawings many times to figure out how to build a big building without waste.

"I see. Did you save a lot of windows for building materials?"

"That's not true. I've seen dusty glass in the warehouse before. When I asked Kyle, he said that what Ars had made had not been sold. Look at that, I'm not here with a pin."

The building Grand made was distinguished from a building that didn't have many windows, as it had seen in the city before.

There were big windows in almost every room, and the glass that I left behind was stuck in it.

Speaking of which, I've heard of it in my previous life.

There are advantages to making buildings arched with stones and the like that reduce the amount of building materials.

A common arch is a bridge that you put across a river.

Start by placing the bridge in a wooden structure where you plan to install it.

The tree set is arched, and the stones are arranged to match the arch.

Once you've lined up the stones from left to right, you'll end up with the stones you need at the top of the arch.

Inserting this key stone will complete a strong bridge that will not lose to gravity or to the weight of people and objects passing through it, even if the original wooden structure is removed.

In other words, there are advantages of arched architecture in that building materials that were originally necessary for the wooden part can be omitted and the strength of the structure increased.

Nothing is limited to bridges as a technique to reduce and increase the strength of building materials using the properties of this arch.

Gran used that trait a lot in the building he built this time.

I have a sense that things like doors, rooms, and windows are rectangular in shape.

But what happens if the door or window is not rectangular, but the top is semi-circular?

It becomes semi-circular, or arch-shaped.

By opening all the holes in the walls that fit in the doors and windows in an arched fashion, we were able to reduce building materials and increase the strength of buildings.

"Wow. The previous building was a dormitory, but I feel it is quite wide compared to it. And because there are so many windows, the sense of openness is completely different. This is great."

"I hope you like it, Ars."

"Great, thank you, Gran. I'll pay you whatever you want."

"I appreciate that. If so, won't you give me the right to build a house?

"Home? Here?

"That's not true. I also want a place where I can feel comfortable living as I travel. I don't think you'll find anything interesting near Lord Ars, so I'd really like to ask you."

What should I do?

As a matter of fact, after I surrounded the land with walls, a few people came out asking me to live in the walls.

But for now, I don't allow it.

Because I have the perception that it is basically a living space for the Valkyries.

But if Grant wants to live, maybe he can allow it.

Because people who can make so many things are unlikely to meet each other.

This is how Grant was chosen as the first person to have a home on my land.
