"Um, me, to be honest, if I can make a dime, I want to do some herb collection."

That's what the first boy to come said. Rick nodded happily.

"I'd rather be a pair or a threesome if I could, do you have the rest?

"None"

"Yeah. Well, I'll teach you slime hunting and herb collection, on a set, so you can do it alone. And the knife?"

"I brought it"

Smaller knives don't mean kids usually have to buy new ones.

Rick took a bunch of sticks out of the porch.

"Made yesterday in a wooden tree on a hill near us"

I handed Shaw and Hull some of those, which I admire, and then, where the boys got together about three times, I took them off to pick up some herbs.

"Do it!

"Exactly!"

There were three girls left. Apparently we were close, and he was happy to admit to being a threesome.

"Do you have a knife?

"Yeah, I heard some long sticks, so I picked up some tree branches."

One of them showed branches of trees of different lengths out of the porch.

"Wow. As long as the length of the stick is longer than this. Well, I'm fine, so I can use these two. It's dangerous to be short over here."

Shaw showed his stick out. The girl is seriously comparing it to her stick.

"You can wrap something around it so it's easy to hold."

"I think it's good!

Seems willing to work something out.

Although one couldn't do it scared, he picks the herbs while defeating the slime. I gave him the bag I kept from the Pharmacist Guild and explained.

"500 gills with all this. It's cheap, but a bag or two a month would be a small penny."

"Even about that, what you can buy your own little things. That's very helpful!

When Shaw takes a glimpse of it, there are still traces of children's clothes and accessories that are just a little old or relaxed, saying they want to pick medicinal herbs and earn a penny.

There was no difference between the rich and the poor because of the small towns in the north. Shaw thought to himself that Aura, the daughter of a clothing store, etc. was wearing good clothes if you dare to say so, and that there was someone at home to help with the chores.

But Aura is a lady mainly because of her positive temperament, not because she's rich, and clothes are advertising for the store. Young people were now doing the same thing as other children, and when they had more time, besides herb collection, they also picked grass flowers and other things to use for dyeing as a help for their family business.

Everyone wears clean clothes that are easy to move, save pennies and dress up and spend money on festive days.

I don't think there were any children who wanted money because they needed it.

Shaw thinks it's hard to say it's a big town.

And a few days later, the number of children coming to collect herbs did not increase to more than ten. I didn't expect Garsh to come, but even the girls who were about to fall for it didn't even show their faces.

"Shaw, when are you going to execute the example operation?

It was Hal who spoke to Shaw at night.

"It's the girls' operation where they said to share clothes and accessories only with those who harvested the herbs, right? Trouble, actually."

Shaw sighed as he prepared to sleep in the inn room.

"I knew it? I said again Shaw was gonna do it, too, and I was gonna stop it."

"Does Hal think so, too?

"Yeah."

I was able to accomplish the first thing I listed, that one person should participate in the herb collection. Anyway, nearly ten people participate every day, and surprisingly, they are all cautious, so there are no injured children.

But even if I distracted myself with clothes and accessories from the deep woods and let more kids collect herbs, I felt like it would be really temporary.

"Though there are slimes and lizards, there are fewer than Deep Forest, and there are no big demonic bodies. If you lived all this time, you wouldn't really know why you needed potions."

"Yeah. I kind of wonder if I need to be here until the star reception festival. Edgar's doing better."

The pharmacist started building potions well that day. Although the herbs that children are picking are of course helping, the pharmacists themselves are starting to pick herbs.

"Still, Edgar was laughing that it would take months, years, to get every house in this town."

"I'm glad it's funny, though."

It's not all bad. Shaw and Hull's creation made it easier for Edgar to do it, and if the pharmacists made the move, that's fine.

"The mentor's slower, but it looks like an adult is coming to retest his healing aptitude, and he said we should start treating people who still have terrible marks to look at."

That's what I'm saying, which also means I haven't started yet.

"It's a big town, so if you think it's going to keep going, it's a lot slower,"

"Really?"

Children who come often can no longer be more or less worried about collecting herbs.

"I guess I'll leave everything to Rick and go back and help the mentor"

That's what Shaw's supposed to do.

"I think that's good too. Why don't you just go back and help Shaw for now because I'll take care of him a little more with Rick?

"I wonder if I'll do that in a few days."

Whatever you do, once you have to talk to your mentor first, it was Shaw I think as he fell asleep in bed. But before I talked to my mentor, the trouble came.

"Well, I was wondering if additional children would come, and adults would come."

The next day, as I was having fun collecting herbs with the Canaan children, I saw some figures coming. Hal leaning back tilts his neck. Both Shaw and Rick look far away.

"That's Garsh and his crew. I was trying to be completely uninterested, but what can I do for you? Who's the adult?

"Who doesn't even know Rick?

"Mm-hmm. Even so, I don't know much about it. I don't even know if he's Garsh's father."

"Oh well."

What the hell are you doing here?
