"You damn bitch, you’re playing me, aren’t you? Get the hell out here! If you come out and sleep with me willingly now, I’ll be gentle. Otherwise, when I get in there, I won’t be so nice!" Winston Lawson cursed as he twisted the doorknob. Leah Sinclair quickly pulled pepper spray from her bag, clutching it tightly.

Winston Lawson finally broke the door open. Seeing Leah’s state, he was stunned for a moment before snapping, "Damn bitch, you really trying to back out?"

"Don’t come any closer!" Leah aimed the pepper spray at Winston Lawson and shouted nervously.

"Hmph, you think you can get away?"

Winston Lawson lunged straight for her. Leah sprayed wildly and turned to run without checking if it had hit. He had been wary ever since he saw the pepper spray in her hand. The moment she moved, he immediately blocked with his arm, and the spray didn’t hit his face.

The instant Leah ran, he grabbed a handful of her hair. She felt a sharp pain across her scalp and instinctively covered her head, dropping the pepper spray.

Winston Lawson kicked the canister aside, then slammed her head hard against the door. Leah instantly saw stars.

"Fuck, you dare to play me? You don’t like it gentle, you want it rough, huh? Fine, I’ll give you a taste!"

As he spoke, Winston Lawson pushed Leah to the floor and started tearing at her clothes. The buttons on her shirt were ripped off in an instant.

When he saw the scattered hickeys on her collarbone, Winston Lawson flew into a rage. "Fuck! Not a virgin? What the fuck are you pretending for, then?"

Leah clutched her clothes and struggled with all her might. "Let me go, you animal! Let me go!"

Winston Lawson slapped her right across the face. Already feeling dizzy, she became even more disoriented. She kept struggling, but his obese body pinned her down completely. He disgustingly leaned in to kiss her.

"Leah! Leah, are you in there?" Zion Sawyer’s voice finally came from the doorway.

"Help! Zion, save me!" Leah screamed frantically, continuing to struggle.

"Fucking open the door already!" Todd Coleman and Zion Sawyer were frantic outside, cursing directly at the front desk clerk.

If that useless clerk hadn’t wasted their time at first, going on about guest privacy, they would have been up here long ago. It was only when they threatened that the police were on their way and that she’d be in deep shit if anything happened to their friend that the clerk finally came to open the door in a panic.

Winston Lawson froze when he heard the commotion. He never expected Leah to have called for backup. Before he could react, the door was thrown open, and Zion Sawyer and Todd Coleman burst in.

Seeing the scene before him, Todd Coleman kicked Winston Lawson squarely. He fell to the ground in pain as Zion Sawyer quickly helped Leah up and held her.

Leah clutched her collar, shaking uncontrollably. Todd Coleman turned, saw her state, and quickly took off his jacket to drape over her. The front desk clerk stood dumbfounded in the doorway, never having imagined something like this would actually happen. Soon, the police arrived as well.

"Officer, it’s this animal! He was trying to rape my friend!" Zion Sawyer shouted as soon as he saw the police, pointing at Winston Lawson, who was pinned to the ground by Todd Coleman.

"Bullshit! That bitch seduced me! Officer, don’t listen to their nonsense! She’s the one who seduced me!" Winston Lawson shrieked, wriggling on the floor like a fat pig waiting for slaughter.

"Seduced you my ass!" Todd was so furious he kicked him again.

"Hey, hey, stop that!"

The lead officer quickly stopped Todd Coleman, telling him in a low voice, "If you hit him, you’ll be in the wrong."

He glanced at Winston Lawson, who was like a fat pig, then at Leah Sinclair, who was trembling in Zion Sawyer’s arms. He scoffed internally. ’I can’t stand old perverts like this, who only have one thing on their mind.’

"Enough talk. Get your clothes on and come back to the station to give a statement."

"Officer, don’t listen to their nonsense! They... they’re all my employees. We were... we were just messing around."

How could Winston Lawson dare go to the police station? If he went, wouldn’t the company find out?

He quickly said to Todd Coleman and the others, "It’s all a misunderstanding! I was just joking with Leah. Let’s talk about this back at the company."

"Joking my ass! You call ripping her clothes off a joke?" Todd Coleman was so angry he tried to kick him again, but the officer quickly held him back.

"You’re colleagues?"

"Yeah, we’re employees of Aevon Group. The three of us are from the same department, and this animal is our HR director," Todd Coleman said viciously.

"Tsk, a director? Alright, enough talk. You! Get your clothes on. And you three, call your supervisor and tell him to come to the Newhaven Police Precinct." Hearing they were from Aevon, the officer shot Winston Lawson an even more contemptuous look. ’What a piece of trash. A director at such a large corporation, still doing things like this.’

Todd Coleman quickly called Mr. Langdon. Mr. Langdon had just walked into the office when he received the call, which made him jump. After hanging up, he immediately turned and headed back out, running into Asher Keating and Sean Yates at the main entrance.

"President Keating," Mr. Langdon greeted him.

"Mm."

Seeing his hurried expression, Asher Keating asked, "What’s wrong?"

"I... I have to go to the police station. Winston Lawson, he... he just tried to assault Leah Sinclair from our department. Todd Coleman and the others called the police, and now everyone’s over there," Mr. Langdon said quickly in a low voice.

Asher Keating’s gaze turned cold when he heard Leah Sinclair’s name. "Who did you say he tried to assault?"

"Leah Sinclair. The young woman from our department. I forgot to warn her not to go when Winston Lawson was looking for her. President Keating, I have to get going." Mr. Langdon was afraid of delaying things further and planned to explain in detail to Asher Keating later.

"We’ll go together."

Asher Keating said coldly. Sean Yates hurried to get the car. Although Mr. Langdon found it strange, he didn’t refuse.

He had been on Asher Keating’s side for over two years now. One could say that as soon as Asher Keating began getting involved in the Keating Group’s affairs, he had sought Mr. Langdon out.

Asher Keating had told him to keep a low profile at Aevon until now. He was also aware of the plan to make a move against Winston Lawson, and he wondered if Asher was going along to use this incident as a pretext.

When the three of them arrived at the Newhaven Police Precinct, Leah and the others were still inside giving their statements. Mr. Langdon and Sean Yates went to the front desk to check in, while Asher Keating stood by the door, waiting. He lit a cigarette, feeling a sense of irritation.

He knew that Leah was in the process of becoming a full-time employee. ’Since Keith Langdon was the one who proposed it,’ he thought, ’Winston Lawson shouldn’t have been able to block it. I didn’t expect that old lecher would still set his sights on Leah.’

’The key question is, why did Leah go to the hotel with him? Even if Winston Lawson threatened her job status, she shouldn’t have agreed.’ Having finished his cigarette, Asher Keating still couldn’t figure it out. He had no choice but to sit in the waiting area and wait for them to come out.

Although Mr. Langdon had followed Asher Keating for a long time, he still felt he couldn’t see through him. He was especially intimidated when Asher Keating’s face was cold, and right now, the man before him made him feel as if the very air pressure in the room had dropped.
