Chapter 395 - 391: Wudi
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The sound of the void shattering suddenly echoed through the air.
The silence was broken!
Everyone looked toward the Frozen City. A young woman with a delicate face, clad in red leather armor and straight leather boots with a black whip tied at her waist, was striding through the air toward them.
She moved like a whirlwind, her steps cracking the very air beneath her feet, her presence like a stampede of ten thousand horses.
The young woman’s aura was incredibly powerful, faintly approaching the level of an expert like Liang Hunran.
Among the many experts at the gates of the Frozen City, only Liang Hunran and Crown Prince Landy of the Ice Kingdom could compare to her!
"That female lunatic is here too?"
"Looks like this kid is in for a good show!"
Many of the experts whispered among themselves.
Landy, ever the gentle and refined one, looked at the girl in red leather armor with a hint of intoxication in his eyes. He smiled, "Wudi, you’re here!"
Wudi?
How could such a delicate-looking girl with a fine figure have such a bizarre name?
But not a single person present dared to comment on it. Even the domineering Liang Hunran had a trace of apprehension in his eyes when he looked at the girl in red leather armor.
Xu Wudi, a young woman who was nothing short of a miracle.
Her name suited her perfectly!
From birth until now, Xu Wudi had never once been defeated by her peers in the Ice Kingdom. In the recent martial tournament, she had swept aside the Blood Demon Palace’s senior disciple and Crown Prince Landy with overwhelming power, seizing the crown as the foremost True Dragon.
Xu Wudi landed on the ground, the fluctuations of her aura radiating outward and kicking up a storm.
The wind blew dust everywhere, causing many nearby experts to frown slightly, but none dared to voice any dissatisfaction.
Xu Wudi glanced at Crown Prince Landy with a cold look in her eyes and said flatly, "What I do is none of your damn business."
"Er..."
Landy rubbed his nose and gave a somewhat bitter smile.
Landy was a prodigy in his own right!
At twenty-five, he had already reached the Mid-stage Primordial Embryo Realm. He was also a True Dragon Demon Fiend of the Second Heaven Realm, possessing combat power comparable to the Peak of Primordial Embryo Realm.
Within the Ice Kingdom, he and the senior disciple of the Blood Demon Palace were the most dazzling Celestial Pride Sons.
Until Xu Wudi appeared!
Only then were all the halos of glory stripped from him and placed upon Xu Wudi. Yet, Landy held not a single shred of resentment toward the woman who had repeatedly defeated him and even snatched away the honor that should have been his.
Xu Wudi snorted coldly, then turned to look at Hong Yu, rubbing her chin.
She leisurely walked over to Hong Yu, looked him up and down, and muttered, "You’re average-looking, but your strength is passable!"
Hong Yu: "..."
’Being sized up like that by a girl is pretty frustrating!’
Xu Wudi then looked at Xingtian, patting his wooden shoulder and nodding. "This big guy is quite strange!" As she spoke, she gave Hong Yu a meaningful look.
Hong Yu froze, inwardly alarmed.
’After Xingtian broke through to the Third-Tribulation Execution Corpse Realm, he’s basically indistinguishable from a normal person.’
’Even a master like Liang Hunran couldn’t see anything different about him.’
’Could it be that this Xu Wudi recognized Xingtian?’
Fortunately, Xu Wudi didn’t press the matter. She finally walked over to Xiaohua and the others, crouching down to look at the little girl. Her voice lost its domineering edge and gained a touch of softness. "Little sister, can you tell me your name?"
"I... I’m called Xiaohua. Xu Xiaohua!" Xiaohua said.
Xu Wudi paused. "Your surname is Xu?" She had arrived late and didn’t know the identity of Xiaohua and the others.
Xiaohua nodded, then asked, "Big sister, your surname is Xu too. Do you know Grandpa Xu Fan?"
"Grandpa Xu Fan?"
Xu Wudi’s eyes flickered. The image of the kind old steward who had taken care of her since she was a child appeared in her mind. She immediately nodded. "Of course I know him. Why? Little sister, do you know Grandpa Xu Fan too?"
"Mhm!"
Xiaohua nodded earnestly, her eyes turning red. "Xu Fan is my grandpa."
"Oh? I remember that Grandpa Xu Fan’s son was severely punished by the clan for having an affair with a servant girl. The two of them passed away after giving birth to a baby girl. Grandpa Xu Fan felt he had let the family down, so he left the clan and was exiled to Exile Town in the Gobi Desert."
Xu Wudi muttered to herself, then asked, "Xiaohua, you’re not with your grandpa. How did you end up here?"
As she spoke, she shot a wary glance at Hong Yu.
She seemed to think he had either abducted or trafficked Xiaohua.
Xiaohua suddenly burst into tears, sobbing softly. "Big sister, my... my grandpa... he and everyone in the town are dead. They’re all dead."
"What?"
Xu Wudi’s eyes widened, and a powerful aura erupted from her body.
She stared intently at Xiaohua. "Are you saying that everyone from my Xu Family who was exiled to Exile Town is dead?"
"Mhm!"
Xiaohua nodded. "Twenty thousand people. All twenty thousand people in the town are dead. Grandpa was killed trying to protect us. Only a few of us were rescued by Brother Hongyu. Everyone else is dead..."
"How did they die?" Xu Wudi asked, taking a deep breath.
Even though Exile Town was inhabited by clan members abandoned by the Frozen City’s Xu Family...
...they were all still named Xu!
The same blood flowed in their veins!
Xiaohua pointed at Qi Feng and Liang Hunran. At an age that should have been innocent, her eyes were filled with hatred and resentment. "The one who killed Grandpa and the more than twenty thousand people in the town was his disciple, a Demon named Qi Tian. That Demon killed Grandpa and the others, drained their blood, and put it all in a huge Blood Pool."
"He piled up the bodies of over twenty thousand people. Even a three-month-old baby had its neck bitten by that Demon, who sucked all the blood from its body."
"If Brother Hongyu hadn’t shown up in time to save us, we would have been devoured by them too."
Xiaohua suddenly knelt before Xu Wudi.
The thirty-odd boys and girls behind her followed suit, kneeling as well.
More than thirty innocent children were crying their eyes out, their clear and naive gazes gone. Thinking of the tragic fate of the twenty thousand people in their town, all that remained for them was hatred.
The children kowtowed heavily to Xu Wudi in unison, pleading, "Big sister, we beg you, you must avenge Grandpa and the others. We beg you..."
Xu Wudi looked at the thirty-plus children before her without a word, finally turning her gaze to Hong Yu.
Hong Yu knew what she wanted to ask and nodded. "Xiaohua said they had relatives here, but I didn’t know they were also from the Xu Family. When we arrived here to handle the entry procedures, Cheng Gong of the Cheng Family brought people to capture them. I intervened and crippled Cheng Gong, which led to the chain of events that followed."
"Are you sure it was Qi Tian who killed everyone in Exile Town?" Xu Wudi confirmed again.
Hong Yu nodded. "He cultivates the Blood Demon Scripture and needed a Soul-Refining Blood Pool to enhance his strength and break through to the Primordial Embryo Realm."
"Fine, I understand!"
Xu Wudi nodded and then walked toward Liang Hunran and Qi Feng.
Qi Feng’s knees went weak. He had witnessed Xu Wudi’s overwhelming methods firsthand!
He was terrified of this domineering and powerful woman from the bottom of his heart.
Liang Hunran’s eyebrows shot up. He said coldly, "Xu Family girl, what do you think you’re doing?"
Xu Wudi glanced at him. "Your worthless piece of shit disciple massacred my Xu Family’s Exile Town. Did you know about it or not?"
"Hmph!"
Liang Hunran snorted coldly and said vaguely, "So what if I did? So what if I didn’t?"
Xu Wudi nodded. "Good, I understand!"
The moment she finished speaking, Xu Wudi’s figure suddenly blurred.
Her form, which had been standing in place, gradually faded until she completely vanished from everyone’s sight.
"Hm?"
Liang Hunran’s eyes flashed. He spun around abruptly. "Qi Feng, be careful!"
"Huh?"
Qi Feng froze.
Then he heard a WHOOSH cutting through the air. He instinctively tried to dodge, but a black shadow had already wrapped around his neck.
SWISH!
A massive force yanked at his neck, sending Qi Feng flying backward to land heavily on the ground.
He let out a wail and forced his eyes open, only to see an exquisite leather boot pressing down hard on his face, pinning his head to the ground.
"I’ll ask you one more time. Did you know what Qi Tian did?" Xu Wudi looked at Liang Hunran again.
Liang Hunran’s eyelids twitched.
Having his precious disciple, Qi Feng, snatched away right in front of him was a complete and utter humiliation.
He snorted in anger and said sinisterly, "Little girl, even your father has to address me as a senior. How dare you..."
Before he could finish, Xu Wudi nodded. "Good, I understand!"
As she spoke, she stomped down hard. With a sharp CRACK, a mouthful of blood, mixed with a few broken teeth, spewed from Qi Feng’s mouth.
Xu Wudi looked at the incredibly grim-faced Liang Hunran. "Answer my question. One more word of nonsense, and I’ll knock out a few more of his teeth. Once his teeth are gone, I’ll start on his bones."
"You..."
Liang Hunran was furious and about to strike.
Unafraid, Xu Wudi kicked out again, and Qi Feng spat out a few more teeth, writhing in agony.
"Fuck..."
Liang Hunran’s eyes widened instinctively.
Xu Wudi glanced at him. "So much nonsense!" With that, she kicked out a few more of Qi Feng’s teeth.
HISS!
Her invincible and domineering methods drew a collective gasp from the crowd.
To be so tyrannical even in the face of the Bloodthirsty Demon King, Liang Hunran... the name Xu Wudi was clearly well-deserved!
"Alright, he’s almost out of teeth. I’ll ask you one last time: did you know what Qi Tian did?" Xu Wudi asked Liang Hunran seriously.
Liang Hunran opened his mouth, about to curse, but when he saw Qi Feng’s miserable state, he took a deep breath and nodded. "I knew."
"Oh, then that’s settled!"
Xu Wudi nodded, then cracked her whip.
SNAP!
The whip was lined with sharp barbs. With a single lash, it sliced off Qi Feng’s head, which rolled a few times across the ground before coming to a stop at Liang Hunran’s feet.
"You..."
Liang Hunran was beside himself with fury, his crimson eyes locked on Xu Wudi. "Little girl, you dare kill Qi Feng? You’re bringing a catastrophe down upon your Xu Family! You’re courting death!"
Xu Wudi retracted her whip and looked at Liang Hunran without a shred of fear. "Stop your whining in front of your great-auntie. If your Blood Demon Palace really has what it takes to annihilate my Xu Family, then go ahead and try. As long as you can’t kill me, once I catch my breath, I’ll march right up to the Blood Demon Palace and turn it upside down!"
"You..."
Liang Hunran was so angry his chest heaved violently.
But could he really bring himself to attack Xu Wudi directly?
He didn’t dare!
Hadn’t he seen that even the combined might of the Tang Family and the Cheng Family couldn’t manage to destroy the Xu Family?
Xu Wudi curled her lip. "If you don’t have the balls, then stop barking like a rabid dog!"
Xu Wudi flicked the blood off her whip, coiled it back at her waist, and waved at Hong Yu and the others. "Don’t waste time here with a pack of mad dogs. Come home with me."
Watching Xu Wudi lead Xiaohua and the group of children straight through the crowd of powerful figures, Hong Yu wore an exceptionally strange expression and let out a faint sigh...
Xu Wudi...
She was truly as invincible as her name suggested!
