Chapter 812 - Blood Condensation Ore
Chapter 812: Blood Condensation Ore
After just a short while, the pale cultivator exchanged the newly acquired Qi Condensation Ore for 10 peculiar stones.
Qu Zhengde laughed and remarked, “That cultivator’s going to have bad luck!”
Sure enough, when the 10 stones were cut open, they were mottled without any spiritual power fluctuations.
The pale cultivator trembled and almost collapsed to the ground.
“Master Qu, I admire your sharp eyes,” Ou Yangming and Yu Xiuming said at the same time.
Luo Qiwen chuckled and commented, “Look—I told you that that man’s foundation’s completed ruined. People like him lack human feelings and can do anything.”
The 3 men sighed, but Yu Xiuming quickly cupped his hands and said, “Master Ou, Master Qu, let’s see which one of us has a better eye then.” He blinked and looked at Ou Yangming as he thought, ‘I was defeated by you during the challenge at the Beast King Sect, but I won’t lose to you this time.’
Although Yu Xiuming had that thought, he actually got along with Ou Yangming, where they had a good relationship with each other. This was only a small activity that would strengthen their friendship.
Ou Yangming cleared his throat and raised his eyebrow as he expressed on purpose, “I’ve always been very lucky in stone gambling.”
Qu Zhengde did not want to show a weak impression, hence he noted softly, “I also have some experience in stone-cutting and stone gambling.”
Following that, the 3 men exchanged smiles with each other and walked toward the peculiar stones.
As for Luo Qiwen, there was a rare crafty look in her eyes. Along with her enchanting face and her perfect curves, she was truly stunning. After looking at Ou Yangming’s back view, the pavilion master followed him quietly.
Qu Zhengde looked at Yu Xiuming and teased, “Ah, Master Ou’s the charming one, after all!”
“Yes, he’s still young,” Yu Xiuming replied to him softly, then he walked toward a corner in the underground palace.
Ou Yangming had walked and stopped multiple times when he suddenly heard a voice. “How dare a young man come looking for bizarre stones from outside of this world? You’re acting recklessly. If you don’t end up losing even your pants later, I’ll chop my head off and kick it like a ball.” A horse-faced man scoffed as he looked at the young fellow. His eyes were sharp, and it was evident that he was a sarcastic person.
The young fellow furrowed his eyebrows but did not respond at all.
On the other hand, Yu Xiuming frowned and looked snappily at the man.
The horse-faced man scorned arrogantly.
Luo Qiwen adjusted her sleeves gently and explained, “This man’s not from the Nine Great Sects. He stays inside the Beyond Heaven Pavilion all year long as part of the community, but he’s narrow-minded and ruthless.”
Ou Yangming asked softly, “We’re at the head of the Nine Great Sects in Danzhou. Are rogue cultivators allowed to come here?”
Luo Qiwen had a strange look on her face, but she still answered, “The Beyond Heaven Pavilion does business, so we open our doors to everyone. Besides, if anyone dares to cause any trouble on Mount Wuzhi, our pavilion will definitely cooperate with the sect to pursue those troublemakers until they’re taken down. Not only Mount Wuzhi, but the Seven Stars Sect in Zhangzhou is also run the same way, where the Beyond Heaven Pavilion has always been peaceful over there.”
Ou Yangming nodded and gained a new understanding of how overbearing of a force the Beyond Heaven Pavilion was.
Instead of bothering about the horse-faced man, Ou Yangming picked up a peculiar stone and pried it with his Heavenly Phoenix Fire. He found out that the ore inside was mottled without any spiritual power fluctuation, but he said pretentiously, “Mm, this stone’s veined patterns aren’t clear enough. Especially this one behind, it’s narrow at the top but wide at the bottom, so I’m sure that nothing good will come out of this.”
Luo Qiwen’s eyes flashed brightly.
She thought, ‘Could Master Ou be a hidden expert?’
Being the pavilion master of this Beyond Heaven Pavilion branch, she had come into contact with queer stones since she was young, thus she had an unordinary level of attainment in picking them.
Before long, Ou Yangming picked up another one. The stone was neither gold nor wooden, and it was covered with tiny holes. A colorful luster could be seen shining out of the holes gorgeously, and it suddenly dispersed in mid-air. The instant it dispersed, a white chillness could vaguely be seen. As for the green moss around those pinholes, they began to flow oddly like water.
The stone was placed at the most eye-catching spot at an expensive price.
It was one of the highest-priced eccentric stones in the whole underground palace, where it could only be exchanged with a High Grade Rank Four magic tool. It was simply daylight robbery.
After Ou Yangming picked it up, he scanned it with his Heavenly Phoenix Fire. His eyes then flickered as he sensed an extremely pure chillness, which was so intense that it seemed to have come from hell and could freeze one’s bones completely. The young fellow somehow saw a snowy world in front of him, where the boundless universe was filled with flying snow and the whistling northern wind.
His eyes gleamed as he stated, “Pavilion Master Luo, I want this stone. Could you cut it open for me?”
At this moment, a hoarse voice pulled him out of the artistic mood that he was in.
“That can only be exchanged with a High Grade Rank Four magic tool. Do you have one? Moreover, the stone has been placed in the Beyond Heaven Pavilion for decades and has been appraised by many masters to be a worthless stone. It’s such a joke that you want it to be cut open. Even if you’re prodigal, you shouldn’t act like this.” The horse-faced man actually followed them here.
On the other hand, Yu Xiuming had somehow approached Ou Yangming with a snow-white unordinary stone in his hand. He scoffed and glared at the horse-faced man, causing the man to sense chillness in his heart and felt weak.
Afterward, Yu Xiuming advised, “Master Ou, this stone’s not worthy indeed. Look—it’s covered with tiny holes and even releases bubbles. Such a flashy item is a taboo in stone gambling. Furthermore, it’s too expensive. With this kind of price, you can cut over 10 rare stones from beyond heaven.” He looked sincerely at Ou Yangming.
As for the horse-faced man, a sudden clap of thunder seemed to have struck his head. He had a bitter look on his face and almost cried. Yu Xiuming was incredibly famous on Mount Wuzhi, so much so that even a rogue cultivator like the man had heard much of him.
Earlier on, Yu Xiuming glared at the horse-faced man because of the young fellow, then he even addressed the fellow as Master Ou. At this point, the horse-faced man knew without asking that the young fellow was certainly Master Ou—the smithing master.
‘Sh*t, sh*t.’ The horse-faced man was as anxious as an ant on fire. His face seemed to have deflated, making him look like a horse.
In actuality, Ou Yangming was not bothered about the insignificant man at all. After all, would a giant dragon care about an ant?
At the spur of the moment, Qu Zhengde brought an oval stone over.
The stone was only palm-sized, and it was covered with countless black and white veined patterns that interlaced with each other. At the top of the stone, a black spot could be seen sticking up slightly.
Qu Zhengde looked at Ou Yangming with a weird look on his face. He asked probingly, “Master Ou, are you… Planning to pick that stone?”
Ou Yangming nodded. Upon seeing this, Qu Zhengde smiled sincerely and added, “Master Ou, please forgive me for being straightforward, but that stone isn’t worth it.”
Just as Ou Yangming was going to respond to him, a voice that sounded like a pastoral song was heard coming from behind Ou Yangming. “The stone was obtained from the source of River Tianlan, and it hasn’t spoiled at all despite being burned with red fire by the Beyond Heaven Pavilion for decades. The great elder from the pavilion has appraised it but still couldn’t figure out what it is, which is why it’s being priced so highly. It’ll be a test for your eyes, fellas. For all you know, someone might surprise us with good fortune…”
Luo Qiwen looked strangely at Ou Yangming. In actual fact, from her perspective, there was a 99% chance that nothing good was contained inside the peculiar stone. Nonetheless, she could not always be honest as she was the person in charge at the Beyond Heaven Pavilion.
Ou Yangming shook his shoulders and cupped his hands to express his gratitude, “Thank you, Master Yu and Master Qu, but I’ve made up my mind.”
Seeing as he was being so persistent, Yu Xiuming and Qu Zhengde inhaled at the same time and no longer said a word.
Soon enough, a black-robed elder arrived with a graver, which was very narrow and had numerous black runes flickering on it.
Qu Zhengde gestured to the elder to proceed with the stone-cutting session. The cloudiness in the elder’s eyes went away as he remarked, “I’m Yue Anzhi. Master Qu, you have a ridiculously good eye. This bizarre stone from outside of this world surely contains something notable.”
“I hope that’ll be the case…” Qu Zhengde smiled.
With that, Yue Anzhi exhaled murky air and sat up straight. His momentum sank, causing him to become calm and composed.
Without any changes in the look in his eyes, he moved steadily with the graver. It was worth noting that the tip of the graver carried a spirit’s power, where every move he made astonished everyone.
Yue Anzhi moved downward slowly according to the black veined patterns. By tapping the palm-sized stone, he opened it up bit by bit.
All of a sudden, a red light flashed from the stone. A widespread evil intent flowed out, and a cold wind started from the ground to stir up the spiritual Qi inside the underground palace. The red light managed to trigger everyone’s primitive desire, by which negative emotions such as greed, fame, fortune, slaughter, longevity, and so on surfaced.
Various weird scenes appeared in everyone’s mind.
The underground palace became quiet at first, but heavy breathings soon echoed in the air.
Numerous cultivators became covetous as they breathed rapidly while looking at the red ore.
Luo Qiwen’s lips seemed to be tinted. Her red lips separated sexily as she exclaimed, “Is this… A Blood Condensation Ore?” She began breathing intensely such that her breasts undulated. One could get a glimpse of her breasts at this time, but nobody looked at her as they were focused on the Blood Condensation Ore.
Ou Yangming was surprised at first, then he congratulated Qu Zhengde right away, “Master Qu, congratulations. I’m really envious that you stumbled upon a Blood Condensation Ore.” By ordering his mental power to push forward, the illusions in his mind disappeared. He sighed and wondered, ‘The rumors are right—a Blood Condensation Ore carries a mystifying power indeed.’
Yu Xiuming shook his head and expressed enviously, “Master Qu, I admire your sharp eye.”
The discussions in the underground palace became more intense. “It’s actually a Blood Condensation Ore. Has it been a decade since one was last found?”
“Yes, he’s worthy of being a smithing master indeed for having such an excellent eye.”
“If I can get one…”
Similar comments filled the air, and people were starting to breathe more heavily than before. In fact, 2 men with poor wills became so lost that their bloodshot eyes seemed like they were going to bleed.
The so-called Blood Condensation Ore was an ore that contained a unique evil intent. If it was incorporated into a weapon or armor, every attack that one made could deceive one’s enemy’s mind. It was an exceptionally powerful effect that could only be discovered but not sought.
Seeing as the cultivators were having more evil looks in their eyes, her cultivation base as an Advanced Spiritualist burst out. A storm spread in all directions as she uttered coldly, “Hmph, this kind of untypical item can only be preserved by a Venerable One. A man’s wealth is his ruin—do you not understand what this means? Without being capable enough, this thing won’t be an elixir but a final nail in your coffin!” As her voice echoed, the cultivators’ greed shattered like mirrors.
