Immortal Sage

Presence of the World Tree

Sermons from Holly and Chris continued until they reached the settlement of Voquone.

Sizka and the others were wary of their surroundings at a slight distance, in an atmosphere that prevented them from getting involved.

Well, Holly and Chris immersed in sermons, seeing how I can be attacked by the two of you, it helps to buy me a perimeter alert and get out...

"We're here..."

Says with a dry smile by the dilette who was leading the way.

Only a guide to the Delates who usually live in the Great Forest of Varganaan arrives without any demonic raids along the way.

If you care about the bar-reading voice and the dry smile, you lose.

I decided to go into the settlement and discuss it with Voquan.

Before that, we will introduce the Sizkas, who are recognized by Lady Gladias and Granos as the same [moderators].

Of course, the title [moderator] is a secret.

"My name is Sizka, and I have come to this land by divinity."

"My name is Voquone and I will keep this settlement. I have known Lord Wolfe before and I have promised to cooperate."

Continue, and the Takels will introduce themselves.

After we finished greeting each other, the discussion began.

First, the evacuation of the settlements attacked by Doriston to nearby settlements and the treatment of Doriston of the ancient dragon Granos will be explained in turn.

"With Granos in charge, it must have been harder for Vereda and the others to target the elf settlement."

"You haven't given up yet..."

"In the human world, the existence of the world tree is only a legend, but I guess the perception of the world tree transmitted to the elves is different"

"We have not actually seen it, but it is said to be the root of this world. You know that, Lord Wolfe, who has the memory of Lord Lawrence.

After all, only the mission to protect the world tree in the Great Forest of Varganaan is handed down...

Information about the World Tree will be more confidential because there are cases of Vereda and the others.

But the roots of this world...

What are the Veredas trying to do with that stuff...

The world tree, handed down to the human world, is considered to preside over the magic that fills the world.

The only magic that I can handle with my [Great Sage] skills activated is part of the magic that flows through the dragon pulse.

I honestly don't understand what Vereda and the others are looking for more magic than they can control...

If you let all that magic run wild, there can even be a future in which all life cannot live.

Given their depth of obsession, I don't think the goal is to destroy the world.

So they know the nature of the world tree we don't?

I was discussing such matters with Voquone, but in the current state of lack of information, I do not leave the imaginary domain.

And the problem is too great to work out measures based on imagination.

I get around to it behind my back against Vereda and the others' movements, but I've come to the conclusion that only coping therapy can be done, but when I think of them as even the [mediator], Granos, who is burning his hands, there will be parts that I can't help.

"But I didn't expect to feed the human soul..."

Voquone shakes his head in a manifestation of disgust.

Already, Vereda and the others, who have only been removed from the species of elves, were explained, but it did not seem that they could be forgiven as vokoons.

Honestly, it's a disgusting story to talk about, but it's too dangerous to deal with Vereda and the others as normal elves, so I needed to share the information.

"Not only was it immortal, but it was also degenerating into a disastrous object about magic..."

"Until now, I recognized myself as a 'traitor to my countrymen', but I am not such a disgusting being or any other compatriot!

"He's an elf in shape, but I guess it's not a mistake to say the contents are completely different"

The sizkas who were listening had never actually seen Vereda and the others, so they didn't pin it.

Voquone should be the same, but is it the difference between knowing about the anomalies of the Veredas and knowing about a species called the Elves?

"Is that so different?

"You think you can't tell by appearance?

Kodama and Kanade also ask in wonder.

Surely, unlike me, who knows the faces of Vereda and the others, you won't be able to discern them in a state of disguise of magic.

Usually I expect to hide my magic powers in cover-up junctions, etc., but given that I've been deceiving Granos' eyes for over a thousand years, I'd be covering them up in some way outside of junctions.

"I think you'd better think it's hard to tell other than when you're in battle."

"Then I'm also convinced you were able to enter that settlement..."

Sizka shrugged listening so silently.

"Until you enter a settlement, you dress up as an elf on a journey... or fake urgent news from another settlement... there are so many different ways"

There are times when we were human, but it's hard to think of putting a bad elf in a settlement that should be on guard against intruders.

That would be where Driston went into the settlement.

Step on the other person's good intentions...

As always, it's a bad means of chest feces.
