Immortal Sage

Deep down.

"Who!?

Whoever once moved us to a colony of damaged elves near destruction as a result of the attack on Doriston resonates with us.

I chose this settlement as a place of transfer because I heard it was going to be abandoned, but it wasn't?

"I say Wolf-Svein of the Kingdom of Raisle. Someone who cooperated during the raid on Driston the other day."

"Wolf...... is that the human race then!?

Out of the shadow of the abandoned house, the elves are trying to check our faces, even on guard.

I went through all that tragedy...

It would be natural to be more vigilant, and it supports the fact that such a reaction is an elf in this settlement.

"Didn't you mean to merge with the settlements of Becclair and the others? You got a problem with that?

I call to check our faces and see what's going on with the reassuring elves.

"Oh, that settlement is welcoming us warmly. I just happened to stop by in the middle of a hunt. More than that, why are you here?

"We're going deep into the Great Forest. You're here because you know the way up here."

"So you've already made a face for me to the settlement?

"No, we have a deep connection with the Veredas. I don't want to get caught up in anything bad. I'm gonna let you go this time."

I don't think it was a coincidence that we were the cause of Doriston's raid, but given the history of the Rasgakan Empire's empire in Rent All, Vereda and the others don't know how to get involved with us in the future.

If they just got involved with us and they targeted Vereda and the others, they wouldn't even be able to see us...

I can feel welcome from the edge of this elf's words, but that's why outroads like the Veredas will try to use that feeling.

"It's going to be an area with no settlements. Are you sure you don't want to take a break?

"I'll just make you feel better."

I may have felt reluctant, but if I take the time here, I'm likely to end up getting involved.

To avoid that, we turned our legs from the settlement to the depths.

"The survivors are safe..."

"It felt like we had to save the same kind of crisis whether it was the other settlers or not."

From the look of the elves we met earlier, Mark mutters potpourrily, reassured that his life seemed okay after that.

Even though he seems to be proceeding with pale vigilance as a scout, he seems to be at all concerned about those who have been involved with him.

I agreed with Mark like that. I replied.

"Even in the daytime it's dim..."

As Takel, who works the avant-garde with Mark, says, there are many large trees of tree age because they are an undisclosed large forest.

That makes it dim because leaves thrive quite overhead and block out sunlight, but instead there are less weeds, etc. and underfoot is not so bad.

"Demons ahead!

Kagame exploring his surroundings in a magical exploration senses the magical reaction of the demon.

I've reviewed a little Kagame that senses more distant demons than Mark and Takel can see.

The magic exploration used by Kagame and Kodama is not the same principle as the magic exploration we use.

We detect the magic that hits us by releasing our own magic around us thinly, but Kagame and Kodama detect the magic that exists around us with their own senses.

This means that Mark and the others were so focused that they could detect demons at unsightly distances that they searched for magic.

The advantage of this Kagame and Kodama magic search is that they don't emit their own magic, so they won't notice our magic unless they perceive us on their own.

The demons that live in the Great Forest of Varganaan will just notice us, but if Vereda and the others lurk and use their magic exploration on us, it will be easy for Kagame to sense that magic.

It seems convenient, so I'll try to imitate it next time...

"Bear?"

"That's big... the first demon I've ever seen"

Coming into view was a bear shaped demon with a larger body around than Gigagrizzly.

"If that's about it, Takel will be fine by herself!

"What!?

All of a sudden Takel, shaken from Mark, looks around him with a distracted voice, but everyone looks at Takel with the look of 'go away'.

"Ha... cover me when you need me!

Takel, who pulled the knife while saying something weak, steps out to the bear.

"Gogaaaaaaaa!!!!"

The bear, who rose with two legs as if to intimidate the approaching Takel, is still bigger and more compelling than any Gigagrizzly I've ever met.

Bear swinging down and attacking his right front leg, but Takel slashes the bear's left rear leg from a low position in an instant motion.

"Oops!

A flash of takel bouncing from the rear of the bear, which unbalanced its center of gravity and returned to its four-legged posture, breaks the bear's neck.

Don't laugh so hard at Takel for lightly repelling the bear that you wonder what his first weakness was.
