Chapter 741: Sky-Patrolling Mirror (I)
At the edge of the cliff, a burly man appeared without a sound. His expression was calm, his eyes cold, and a dangerous aura radiated from him that warned others to keep their distance.
With a light leap, he sped down the cliff. Before long, he found the secret realm entrance leading to the Shamanic Clan Ruins.
"So this is the place?" Woo Tianlei murmured as he looked at the small spatial rift.
The rift was somewhat unstable at the moment. He frowned slightly and extended both hands as purple energy surged forth.
Woo Tianlei violently pulled his hands apart, forcibly tearing the small spatial rift wider. When one was powerful enough, there were times when sheer strength allowed one to do whatever one pleased. Unlike Lin Zheyu and the others, he did not need to wait for the spatial rift to stabilize on its own. He could stabilize it by force.
After forcing the spatial rift open, Woo Tianlei stepped directly inside. Chaotic spatial currents and energy battered his body, but they only caused faint ripples across the thin layer of purple energy surrounding him. They could not harm him in the slightest.
I can't locate the pocket world. Looks like I'll have to wait for the entrance to appear on its own, Woo Tianlei thought.
His powerful perception spread outward, yet even within this empty void, he could not locate the passage leading to the Shamanic Clan Ruins. That passage was merely a spatial rift that had appeared by chance after the passage of countless years. With Woo Tianlei's current strength, he was still incapable of directly tearing open a path to those Shamanic Clan Ruins.
After waiting for a long time, a faint light finally appeared within the boundless darkness. The light steadily grew until it formed an entrance roughly half a man's height. Woo Tianlei moved slightly and passed through the rift into the Shamanic Clan Ruins.
Inside the ruins, Woo Tianlei's figure emerged as his powerful perception spread out to cover the surroundings. These ruins were far larger than he had imagined. The Shamanic Clan formation restrictions scattered throughout the area were dangerous enough that even Woo Tianlei had to proceed cautiously, unwilling to trigger them carelessly.
Woo Tianlei narrowed his eyes as he looked toward a certain location deep within the ruins. "Hm? Bloodline resonance... Was Woo Jin here all this time because of that exotic beast that awakened an ancient bloodline?"
It was a massive, ferocious exotic beast resembling an enormous saber-toothed tiger, with a pair of dragon horns growing from its forehead. The instant Woo Tianlei saw the beast, even the bloodline powers within his body trembled faintly in response.
After staring at the exotic beast for several seconds, Woo Tianlei looked away. He could deal with the beast later. His purpose in coming here was to find the culprit who had killed Woo Jin.
Soon, his figure shifted and landed at the center of the area where Lin Zheyu and Woo Jin had fought. Woo Tianlei crouched down and scooped up a handful of soil. Quite a bit of the Woo Family's bloodline powers still lingered within it, though they had already become extremely faint.
"Very crude cleanup..." Woo Tianlei said coldly after examining the traces around him.
With a flip of his right hand, an emerald-green mirror that seemed to have been carved from jade appeared in his palm. The center of the mirror was equally green, but its surface was flawlessly smooth and capable of reflecting images. Woo Tianlei rapidly formed hand seals as the bloodline powers within his body began to boil.
A phantom of a fierce tiger suddenly appeared over his face and unleashed a heaven-shaking roar. The roar seemed to act as a summons, drawing the remnants of bloodline powers scattered throughout heaven and earth toward him. Wisps of faint purple energy merged into the purple energy sphere before Woo Tianlei.

As more energy poured in, the sphere gradually transformed into the phantom of a purple tiger. Woo Tianlei reached out with his right hand, seized the condensed tiger phantom, and pressed it into the emerald mirror. Immediately afterward, a drop of blood essence condensed at the tip of his index finger and flew into the emerald mirror as well.
"Epic of the Ages, reverse the flow of time. Let yesterday's events reappear today!" Woo Tianlei rapidly formed hand seals as his deep voice rang out. Brilliant purple light erupted from his right hand as he thrust it against the emerald mirror.
"Manifest!"
In an instant, hazy gray light emerged from the emerald mirror. Blurred scenes began to appear across its flawlessly smooth surface. The images were indistinct, making it impossible to discern the appearances of the figures within.
Rumbling, explosions, and the roars of a fierce tiger came from the mirror. The scenes within looked as though they were covered by a thin layer of mosaic, making them difficult to see clearly.
Fortunately, not much time had passed since the battle ended. Had Woo Tianlei arrived two or four later, he might not have been able to see anything at all. Likewise, if Lin Zheyu had possessed better cleanup methods and completely erased the Woo Family bloodline powers lingering between heaven and earth, Woo Tianlei would not have been able to use this technique.
Woo Tianlei frowned slightly. "The interference is too severe. Unless I bring the true body of the Sky-Patrolling Mirror here, there is no way to reconstruct the scene from that time clearly."
This place was already outside Great Wei's territory, and the Sky-Patrolling Mirror could only display its full power within Great Wei's domain. Moreover, the ruins were located inside a pocket world, which greatly obstructed the Sky-Patrolling Mirror's power.
This pocket world had once been of an extremely high grade, and even after declining considerably, it was still difficult for the Sky-Patrolling Mirror's power to penetrate it. On top of that, the Shamanic Clan Ruins were filled with formation restrictions capable of blocking all kinds of powerful dharma treasures. Even vaguely reproducing the battle scene was already extremely difficult.
Woo Tianlei's eyes were icy, a chilling killing intent flashing in their depths. "Although the image isn't very clear, one thing is certain. That fellow is a martial artist. He has forged his own path of martial cultivation and possesses strength comparable to a mid-stage Nascent Soul realm expert."
Woo Tianlei went through every martial artist who fit the criteria, including those who had only recently forged their own path of martial cultivation this year. Yet he could not find anyone whose fighting style or methods resembled those of the martial artist in the image.
Woo Tianlei frowned slightly as he speculated inwardly. Strength comparable to the mid-stage Nascent Soul realm, skilled in saber technique and escape arts, and I've never seen that soul-attack secret art before either. Could this person be a martial artist from outside Great Wei?
He went through every martial artist who met the criteria, even including everyone who had cultivated to the limits of the Shackles realm, but still could not find a suitable match. This place lay outside Great Wei's territory. It was perfectly normal for powerful martial cultivation experts from beyond Great Wei to appear here.
Woo Tianlei's eyes turned cold as killing intent surged from him. If he isn't a martial artist from Great Wei, finding him will be troublesome. I may have to ask the Directorate of Celestial Observation to perform another divination. But no matter what, this man cannot be unrelated to the Martial Alliance.
Whether that man actually belonged to the Martial Alliance did not matter. If Woo Tianlei said he did, then he did! If Qin Hu had not interfered back then, they would have killed Xiao Yu on the spot long ago. Woo Jin would never have come here to kill Xiao Yu, and none of what followed would have happened. Cause and effect came full circle, and no matter what, the Martial Alliance had to bear responsibility for all of this!
