In a Different World with a Smartphone

# 157 Euron Invasion, and Quint Village.

"Euron started the war?

"Yes, we have declared war on our neighbor, the Kingdom of Hannock, and have begun the invasion"

To Tsubaki's report, I took a smartphone out of my nostalgia and projected a map of the area around Euron in the air.

The Kingdom of Hannock... always, west of Euron, adjacent to the Leggles Empire across the river. It's a long country to the side.

"Search display. Euron army in red, Hannock army in blue"

"Copy. Display Shimas"

Oh, I could see it. And you can tell that by appearance.

My search magic makes my appearance quite informative. Like the masked raiders the other day, if they change their outfits and throw away their masks, I don't want to search. Towns and villages are usually searchable.

Was it completely destroyed that even the mask was not searched? Well, if that mask could tell you who you are, would you?

On the map, two factions form a long way from the border into the Hannock side. Another Euron army is on its way to that Euron side of the camp, but is it a supply unit?

Apparently, the war situation is progressing with Euron advantage.

"What caused the war?

"On the part of the Euron, it is said that the land of Hannock was originally the territory of the Euron. The migrants who came later sat down and made it to the country on their own, so they're just trying to take it back... that's what's going on."

"... what do you mean by that?

"Because I'm just saying. They say that they are the Empire Euron, a succession that flourished in ancient civilized times. They say that there are 7,000 years of history, and that history has been passed down from generation to generation as an oral tradition."

7000 years old. Wow. Is that 5,000 years old in Egypt?

I see, are you trying to reclaim your ancestral lands? I don't know, but there's another country already where people live. You've been leaving me, what are you talking about now? I can't help but think...

But what do you mean by oral? I called in Sheska, who was in the room because I was a little concerned, and I asked her in a whisper.

"In the time of ancient civilization 5,000 years ago, there was already a country called Euron?

"No, I've heard of that country. Mostly that neighborhood was a big raid on Frase, and it was no longer a place for people to live."

Alas. Thank you, Euron. 7000 years old sounds like a frown. History can be changed for the convenience of those in power.

When this happens, I feel both talked and suspicious that Hannock's land was originally Euron's territory. No, I guess it doesn't mean the Eurons are lying. That's what happens when you've been taught that for thousands of years.

"Hi, it sounds like Euron put on a better argument for something and set up a war. Hannock has seen new orihalcon and misril minerals discovered over the past few years, producing resources and booming the economy. I thought it might be resource-oriented."

A total war of aggression? Does that mean it's just a pile of treasure if you try it from Euron?

Is this also the cause of the other raid aimed at the frame gear? Let's put ourselves into war and ravage our opponents with overwhelming force... You mean to profit from the technology you stole from another country?

"Um, I've never seen war before. What happens to this?

"In terms of military power, the Euron is more advantageous. If the war continues like this, Hannock may eventually perish. We have mining resources, so we may be able to fund it with some fighting power, but whatever, there's too much difference in numbers."

If Hannock perishes, will Euron come to next door to the Leggles? I'm not very happy.

I didn't decide the other day that the Raiders were from Euron, but I don't really have good feelings for Euron. Prejudice, I guess.

"Does Hannock Kingdom have a relationship with the Leggles Empire?

"Not so much an alliance, but I think it was a friendly country. I don't think we're going to intervene aggressively in this war, but we're going to be able to help with food, weapons, etc."

Hmm. Does that prolong the war somewhat? Still, although Euron is more likely to win as a result.

It's a war between other countries. It's none of our business.... and I guess it would be easier if I could think about it.

I guess a lot of people die...... I don't want to distract you from cheap humanism, but that's why I can tell you how many people die if it's none of my business.

I'd like to save it if I could, but I also feel like it's simply a heroic aspiration or just a hypocrite.

No, my dead grandfather said, "Hypocrisy. Much cooler! Don't just be a naughty bystander! You said." "It's no different than a monkey if you're just watching".

... Hmm. I don't want to be a monkey.

"By the way, were you a member of our Knights or something, from Euron or Hannock?

"I don't think Euron was there. I thought there was one Hannock native."

"Can you call that person? I just wanted to talk to you."

"Okay."

Tsubaki-san leaves the room. If you're from Hannock, your parents and brothers might be home. If it's close to the battlefield, you might want to call it this way.

"I belong to the Knights, it's Paolo!

The summoned knight knelt on the spot and drowned. He was a young man with short chestnut hair. You've seen it several times. Sure, the sword arms aren't that good, but he was a smart mover anyway. He also works seriously and is certainly one of those people that the deputy commander, Mr Nicolas, likes.

Originally an adventurer, he has apparently seen our Knights Recruitment and applied.

"Mr. Paolo, I hear you're from the Kingdom of Hannock, but where's your hometown?

"Is...? Ah, yes, the village of Quint outside the east, but what is it..."

Quint Village? Call the map to view the village.

That's bad...... The Euron army is on the verge. Are you going to take control of this place and base it? Looks like you're a long way from the streets to go for the King's Capital of Hannock, but it looks like it's a different unit from the main unit on your way. Is it a pinch or something?

Though an enemy country, I don't think it would slaughter...... But they'll definitely collect troop food and stuff. I don't know if I'll let it out calmly or forcibly.

"Um... what the hell...?

Paolo looks anxiously at me staring at the projected map. Run your gaze to the map and me to see where your hometown is.

"Sounds like we haven't got the information yet... but Euron has attacked Hannock"

"What the hell!

Mr. Paolo stands up unexpectedly. The face was stunned, agitated, anxious and other things.

"This is the village of Quint in Hannock. And this red light is the Euron army. Probably will arrive in the village around tomorrow..."

"Oh no..."

Mr. Paolo stares at the light of the map in a daze.

"I don't think even the Euron army would do that bad if the villagers hadn't resisted..."

"... no. Perhaps all the villagers, men will be killed, women will be made comforters and enslaved..."

"Nah......!

Come on, assuming you're a soldier of one country, right? That's no different from the Bandits. What do you do that for?

"The Eurons are allowing looting by the soldiers when they invade an enemy country. You can have the money you get, the woman, the enemy soldier's weapon armor, etc. on your own. For this reason, the morale of the soldiers is high and they will not complain about the harsh invasion."

What the hell is that? People on the land would resent you for doing that. If you invade, it will soon be your land, but what if you buy grudges there?

"Once, until 20 years ago, there was a small country between Euron and Hannock called Zalam, but this country was destroyed by the Euron. They said there was a terrible pillage."

I wonder how much war we need to go to.

Tsubaki says that there is a strict identity system in Eurons and that the Eurons and those who do not, that is, people in invaded countries, are treated as differently as heaven and earth.

Does the Euron have slavery just like the Kingdom of Sandra? They don't have anything like a "slave collar," but they do tattoos to show who owns it.

"Perhaps Quint's village will also be ravaged like Zalam...... cum...... Your Majesty! With His Majesty's help, what is it, what can you do to save Quint?!?

Mr. Paolo kneels down again, bowing his head and pleading.

"Fine."

"We are heavily aware that it is an unclean wish! But what is it! I hope you think about it...!... what?

Mr. Paolo looks up at this one with a pompous face.

"So fine," he said. I originally called Mr. Paolo to talk about it. "

If you're from Hannock at first, you'll have family over there. Before we got into the war, I was going to suggest that we just evacuate our families here. I didn't think the village itself was in such a dangerous state.

"I don't know if you'll believe me if I go to the village and explain. I'm going to ask you to come with me to Quint Village."

"Yes! Welcome!"

Read Quint Village memories from Mr. Paolo, who rises joyfully and bravely, with the magic of "recall" and connect the "gate".

In the meantime, I, Mr. Paolo and Mr. Tsubaki jumped to the village of Quint.

There were sights such as a small village in front of them, and the peaceful and pastoral atmosphere surrounded them.

"This is Quint Village for sure?

"Yes. It's my village I grew up in. This is the transfer magic... wow, in an instant..."

Mr. Paolo gives a sobering expression of relief that his birthplace was still safe.

A young man, such as a farmer, called out from behind us as he stood around the entrance to the village.

"Paolo? Paolo!?

"You... Lent!? Long time no see!

Mr. Paolo rushes to the farmer's youth. Apparently, I know him, or he's a friend.

"What's wrong with you, that outfit? You've been holding on from some downfall?

"You idiot, this is the armor of the Knights of the Principality of Brunhild. I didn't steal it, it's mine! You're a knight now, me!

"What!?

Mr. Paolo proudly shows off his silver-thinking Mithrill armor. Because they're friends, or Mr. Paolo's tone is shattering. From "I" to "I".

"It's only been so fast to get away with it for so long, you. They bought that?

"Well, that's it. Whoa, not if we're talking about this! You know Euron and Hannock started the war!?

Mr Paolo's words clouded in an instant the face of a farmer named Lent, who had been overflowing with joy until earlier.

"Oh, we're all scared. I think it's ok because this place is pretty far from the street, but once the King's Capital falls and is incorporated into the Euron, we won't be able to live the same way we've lived before..."

"It's not the king's capital! The Eurons are marching towards this village right now! They'll be here tomorrow too!

"What...! That's stupid! Why do you need to attack such a small village! I don't have that much money or food here......!

After all, the army on its way here is a separate unit. You can see that you are acting in an operational manner. Like turning behind while the main body is staring at each other in the street, or something like that?

"Let me see the village chief anyway. Your Majesty will help the village."

"Your Majesty? What's your Majesty?

"This is His Majesty the Duchy of Brunhild!

"Ah, guys."

I was introduced to Mr. Paolo with a lofty hand gesture, but I didn't get any attentive words because it was sudden. I had a light meeting or something.

The farmer Lent stares at his friend, who hasn't been back in the village in a long time, with worrying eyes when he blinks.

"Paolo... are you okay?

I knew you wouldn't believe me. I thought I'd make it with a crown, for real.
