Incubus Lord: Lust Harem System

Chapter 240: Out of Azure Dragon Realm

Sponsored

The sky above the Azure Dragon Realm rippled.

Damon stood at the cave entrance with Ariel, Mio, Mia, Seraphina, Alena, and Flare gathered behind him.

The air vibrated with a deep hum that resonated through the stone beneath their feet.

Golden cracks spread across the horizon like shattered glass.

"Time’s up," Damon said.

The world pulled apart.

Light swallowed everything. Pressure crushed against his chest. Then the sensation vanished as abruptly as it had begun.

Damon’s boots hit solid stone.

The sect arena materialized around them.

The familiar white and azure pillars.

The elevated platform where Sect Leader Hector stood.

The rows of elders seated on both sides. Mei lounged in her chair with a lazy smile.

Selene sat rigid beside her, her frosty eyes locked onto Damon the moment he appeared.

The rift sealed behind them with a soft hum.

Lark stood twenty meters to Damon’s left, her robes slightly dust-stained but her posture intact.

She had made it back as well.

Hector stepped forward.

His gaze swept across the group.

A faint golden light flickered in his eyes as he scanned each of them in turn.

His expression shifted from curiosity to surprise to something close to disbelief.

"Well," Hector said slowly. "It seems the Azure Dragon Realm was generous this year."

He turned to face the elders.

"Ariel Aquaria."

Ariel stepped forward.

"Earth Spirit Realm. Ninth Level."

Murmurs rippled through the elder seats.

Ariel had entered the realm at Earth Spirit Realm First Level.

Eight levels in one hundred days was unheard of for a standard inner disciple.

"Mio Nightrider."

Mio stepped forward.

"Heavenly Spirit Realm. Fifth Level."

The murmurs grew louder. Mio had entered at Ninth Level Earth Spirit Realm.

She had crossed the boundary into Heavenly Spirit Realm and advanced five more levels inside the realm.

"Mia Nightrider."

Mia stepped forward.

"Heavenly Spirit Realm. Fifth Level."

The elders exchanged glances. Two twins, identical cultivation, identical breakthroughs.

"Seraphina."

Seraphina stepped forward.

"Heavenly Spirit Realm. Fourth Level."

Hector’s voice carried a note of genuine surprise.

Seraphina had been at Earth Spirit Realm Ninth Level when she entered.

She had not only broken through but stabilized at the Fourth Level.

"Flare."

Flare stepped forward.

"Heavenly Spirit Realm. Third Level."

The elders leaned forward in their seats.

Flare had entered at Earth Spirit Realm Seventh Level.

Her improvement was the most dramatic percentage-wise, nearly an entire realm in one hundred days.

"Alena Terra."

Alena stepped forward.

"Heavenly Spirit Realm. Second Level."

Silence.

Alena had been at Earth Spirit Realm Eight Level when she entered the realm.

She had jumped an entire realm and two additional levels.

For an alchemist, that kind of combat cultivation growth was practically unheard of.

Hector turned to Damon.

Damon felt the scan wash over him.

He kept his Polymorph locked in place, showing Heavenly Spirit Realm First Level.

"Damon Arcknight."

Damon stepped forward.

"Heavenly Spirit Realm. First Level."

Murmurs rippled through the elder seats.

Damon had entered at Earth Spirit Realm First Level and crossed into Heavenly Spirit Realm.

Nine levels and major realm jump in one hundred days was unheard of for a standard inner disciple.

Then Hector turned to Lark.

"Lark."

Lark stepped forward.

"Heavenly Spirit Realm. First Level."

The elders exchanged glances.

Lark had entered the realm at Peak Earth Spirit Realm. She had only advanced one level.

It was not a poor result by normal standards.

Breaking through to Heavenly Spirit Realm was a significant achievement.

But compared to the others, compared to the leaps and bounds everyone else had made, it looked almost stagnant.

Lark’s jaw tightened.

Hector raised his hand.

"Based on the results of this trial, I will now announce the team leader for the Eastern Continent Tournament."

The arena fell silent.

"Damon Arcknight."

Damon felt the words land like a hammer.

"Damon will lead the Azure Dragon Sect’s team."

Hector paused.

"Additionally, Damon Arcknight and Ariel Aquaria are hereby promoted to Core Disciple status."

The words hit Lark like a physical blow.

Core Disciple.

Damon Arcknight.

The same man she had met on the Sky Cutter just weeks ago.

The same man who had been a True Spirit Realm outer disciple when she first laid eyes on him.

The same man who had walked into her room, exposed her deepest secret, and touched her in ways that still made her skin burn when she thought about them.

Now he was a Core Disciple.

Now he was the team leader.

Now he stood at the same cultivation level as her, despite starting from a lower realm.

Lark’s hands curled into fists at her sides.

She had trained her entire life.

She had pushed herself through grueling regimens, endured pain that would have broken lesser cultivators, sacrificed everything to maintain her disguise and her freedom.

She had entered the Azure Dragon Realm at Peak Earth Spirit Realm, confident that she would emerge stronger than ever.

And she had.

But everyone else had emerged even stronger.

Ariel had gone from a fresh Earth Spirit Realm disciple to the Ninth Level.

The Nightrider twins had crossed into Heavenly Spirit Realm and kept climbing.

Even the alchemist had jumped an entire realm.

And Damon.

Damon had been nothing when she met him.

A talented inner disciple with potential, yes.

But nothing more.

Now he stood beside her.

Equal in cultivation.

Superior in rank.

Team leader.

Lark’s chest tightened.

She remembered his golden eyes in the darkness of her room.

The way he had seen through her disguise as if it were made of paper.

The way his touch had sent fire through her veins, fire she had spent years trying to extinguish.

He had said the balcony partition remained unlocked.

She had not gone to him.

She had told herself it was pride. Discipline.

The same iron control that had kept her hidden for years.

But watching him now, watching his women crowd around him, watching the elders nod in approval, watching Hector place the team leader token in his palm...

Lark realized something she did not want to admit.

She had not gone to him because she was afraid.

Afraid that if she crossed that threshold, she would never want to leave.

Damon turned.

His golden eyes met hers across the arena floor.

He didn’t smile.

He didn’t nod.

He simply looked at her, steady and certain, as if he had known this moment would come all along.

Lark looked away first.

Her heart pounded against her ribs.

And she had no idea what she was going to do.
