Chapter 1768 - 1367: Can They Escape?
"Thud!—"
"Splash!"
From the three directions of southeast and north, the three surviving experts were either sprawled or kneeling on the ground in a state of disarray. Their spirits trembled, overwhelmed by the terrifying image of Jiang Dali that had just emerged in their minds, an image that would haunt them eternally like a horrifying nightmare they could never shake off.
"Hmph! How ignorant!"
Jiang Dali let out a cold snort, his eyes flashed as he drove the Demon Dragon to swoop directly toward the east, aiming first to capture the strongest black-clad elder among the surviving eastern group sensed.
If he guessed correctly, that black-clad elder should be a certain expert from the Ying Country Royal Family, perhaps even one of the Emperor’s brothers. Otherwise, it would be impossible for him to exude such intense Dragon Energy. But no matter who it was, if they didn’t act, it would be nothing. Yet, since they’ve made a move, even if it’s the Imperial Family, he would not hesitate to kill.
...
After a moment.
The experts from the three directions of southeast and north were all captured by Jiang Dali, who used the Demon Dragon to gather them together, controlling them and throwing them to the ground without even a chance to commit suicide.
Because the moment they conceived such a thought, Jiang Dali had already anticipated it, breaking down their courage to commit suicide from a spiritual level, rendering them unable to even move a finger.
At this time, the three surviving experts were sitting dejectedly on the open ground, leaning against each other, all with pale faces, constantly gasping for breath, their expressions filled with panic as they stared at Jiang Dali. Only the black-clad elder from the Imperial Family, possessing Dragon Energy within him, could barely maintain dignity to mask his fear, glaring angrily at Jiang Dali on the dragon’s head without speaking.
Jiang Dali, though appearing disheveled with ragged clothing, merely standing proudly on the dragon, looking down from a height, exuded an unfathomable and terrifying psychological pressure.
As the Demon Dragon moved like an elevating platform swaying its dragon whiskers, lowering its head, Jiang Dali’s menacing figure came even closer to the three, like a massive mountain slowly approaching, making them feel suffocated under pressure.
His tiger eyes were icy, coldly fixating on the three, "Speak now! Who gave you the courage to plot against this village chief? Was it the Ying Country’s Emperor? Does he really think that because he is the Emperor of a vassal state, this village chief dares not kill him?"
Once the word "kill" was uttered, the temperature seemed to drop by a dozen degrees instantly, and the air was filled with killing intent. The three barely managed to muster their power to resist the terrifying intimidation from Jiang Dali, yet their trembling bodies still revealed their weakness and fear.
With Jiang Dali now having the status of a Saint Dynasty Marquis, although he wouldn’t violate the laws of the Holy Dynasty and remain blameless, he did possess substantial immunity.
For instance, if he were to openly kill the ruler of a vassal state, in the past, he would surely have been hunted by the Four Sects of the Holy Dynasty. With his strength, although it wouldn’t necessarily mean certain death, he would have to evade capture like the Blood Transformation Divine Venerable of yore.
But now, possessing the status of a Saint Dynasty Marquis, at most, he’d be imprisoned and then have his title revoked before being released.
The black-clad elder clad in a swordsman’s uniform forced himself to remain calm, glaring angrily and shouted, "Black Wind Village Chief! Desecrating the ancestors’ graves is intolerable! You’ve brazenly destroyed Ying Country’s Holy Tombs, disturbing the peace of our ancient Ying Country spirits. Do we need any more reasons to resist you? If you want to kill, then kill, do as you please!"
Jiang Dali laughed heartily, "Well said! Then I shall begin by killing one!"
As soon as he finished speaking, his eyes flashed with a brilliant gleam.
Among the three, a middle-aged man with a high hooked nose screamed, his eyes turning white, blood spurting from his seven orifices. He dropped dead on the spot, his body twitching twice before losing vitality.
Beside him, another man with a horse-like face was so terrified that he trembled uncontrollably, his teeth chattering loudly. His fearless spirit had been crushed through successive torments, and now he was actually becoming afraid of death, even considering surrender.
"Ruffian!"
The black-clad elder in the swordsman’s attire cried out in anguish and fury, glaring at Jiang Dali with bulging veins on his face, gritting his teeth.
Jiang Dali spoke flatly, "Your Ying Country’s so-called Holy Tombs, after all, are merely the spoils of war for this village chief! Rumor in the Martial World is that the Orochi was severed into eight pieces by your ancestors, the former Emperors of Ying Country, along with some powerful figures, sealing them within the eight Holy Tombs.
But what is the real situation? Who truly severed the Orochi, and who built the Holy Tombs? The Imperial Family should be well aware... even if you do not know his true identity, you should know his origins."
"You..."
The black-clad elder’s pupils contracted, stunned and filled with a mixture of panic and resistance, "You speak nonsense!"
Jiang Dali chuckled, "It seems your Ying Country’s royal family is inherently traitorous, disowning your ancestors. No wonder the past events were altered to glorify your family. Such a pitiful pride. It matters not if you don’t speak of it, I was only casually asking anyway."
Finishing his words, he struck out with his palms across a distance of thirty feet, creating a fierce gust of wind that blew the hair and clothes of the two below backward. The shocking terror and Qi Force instantly enveloped them.
"Kill!"
The black-clad elder mustered courage, shouted fiercely, and leapt up, unleashing astonishing Dragon Energy that gathered Heaven and Earth Power. With a single thrust of his sword, it transformed into several dazzling cold lights, tearing through the air with an irresistible force.
"Wait, I’ll speak!!"
The other man with a horse-like face, instead of advancing, retreated and shouted in despair.
Boom! Ka!!—
Two incredible sounds of explosions rang out nearly simultaneously.
In that moment, intense air currents swept around, fragments of shattered swords mingled with blood splattered.
The two figures crashed heavily to the ground, creating shallow pits upon impact, and almost instantly, their internal organs were crushed, resulting in their immediate deaths.
The man with a horse-like face had eyes filled with blood vessels, his gaze full of fear, regret, and questioning, as if asking why, why not give him a chance to speak.
Jiang Dali glanced over and chuckled lightly, shaking his head, "You were given a chance, but you didn’t cherish it. I never offer many chances!"
He then turned to the black-clad elder, who glared furiously, his hair and beard stood on end. Blood spewed from his mouth covering his face, his body twitched twice, and within him welled a surge of Dragon Energy, instinctively attaching itself toward the more potent and domineering Dragon Energy of Jiang Dali.
Jiang Dali’s expression turned disdainful, and he shouted coldly, "Begone!!"
With this shout, the Dragon Energy that had voluntarily attached itself was instantly dispersed, not even qualified to merge into Jiang Dali’s body.
Watching from the side, Dongfang Bubai’s face showed a trace of a smile, admiring Jiang Dali’s distinctive and impressively overbearing personality, noticing it remained unchanged.
In this vast Martial World, how many can truly remain unchanged?
