……

Since Annelotte's return, I've been working on Eleonora's assignment, finishing up my duties as lord as usual.

Having returned as a lord and still asked Eleonora for a mentor, this is how I submit a report on the challenges put out by Eleonora, as I do every day. I'm not doing it to one of the lords' hassles, and both are serious, yeah.

Most importantly, the challenges that Eleonora puts out are not every day, and because they take the form of my research and reporting on the given challenges, they are not so bitter.

Today's challenge is how to reduce magic in creating skeletons.

Eleonora also sees the magic book I have, Necromancy. And since Eleonora, a hybrid with Arv, is more familiar with the ancient language of Arv than I have managed to decipher while alternating with the dictionary, she also confirms the parts that I have not deciphered.

On top of that, while pursuing the essence of Necromancer witchcraft to become Eleonora, he puts out the contents of it as a challenge for me. Is Eleonora's hypothesis really possible?

"Hmmm..."

In other words, all the demon squares that create skeletons need is their own blood.

Blood is a material that circulates easily by its own magic, and it lets itself out, so it also has its peculiarities. What I mean is that it has the effect of making the demon squares I've created unusable other than me.

However, it may be possible to reduce the necessary magic by drawing this demonic formation with more magical circulating materials.

For example, mercury.

It is a material that is easy to pass through magic with heat, and is easy to draw as a demonic formation because it is metal but also has the property of liquid at room temperature. The material itself must be handled with caution because it is toxic, but since it does not lose its magic with natural evaporation like blood, it is possible that it can be used as a permanent demonic formation.

I will write every hypothesis around it down in the report. This report is tentative, too. There would definitely be thunder if I submitted it, such as a report that seemed to contain few notes.

"Okay."

End the tentative report for a moment.

Some hypotheses have been made, and all we have to do is experiment. As a basis for this, several materials will have to be purchased from the Gnome Chamber of Commerce.

Tax revenues have become black to some extent, and it's no problem to spend some gold coins as my research fund.

"Sashima"

"Mmm... oh, Chris"

"Yes. Ooh."

"Thanks"

The sun is still abundantly down now because I finished my meeting with Annelotte, then did my errands and then went into research.

Speaking of which, you haven't even eaten - and I thought, along with Chris' offered tea, there was a sandwich set aside to pick with one hand.

Perhaps it's what Ianna made me to stay out of my way.

Honestly, I was feeling a little hungry, so I decided to ask for it.

"Sashima"

"Yeah?"

One sandwich, at that time I carried it to my mouth.

Chris looked at me with his neck tilted.

"Napping?

"Uh... well, yeah. When it comes to worries, it's worries."

"Come here?

"I'm not in trouble. I just don't know what's best for me."

Touch Chris' head.

The immediate concern that comes to me after an assignment is Annelotte's suggestion.

Betray the Grand Slam Empire and join the Heilhorn Union - it's easy to say by words alone, but things aren't so easy to carry.

One of my choices will change the country. There will be the anxiety of the people associated with it, and it may develop into a war with the Empire. In that case, it is this Fleetberg territory, which is at the forefront of the battlefield.

We cannot risk war on innocent people.

What you need for that is a soldier.

"... of Skeleton, a soldier"

"Heimo?"

"Oh. Even if Anne Lotte didn't tell me, I did think..."

Originally, relations between the Heilhorn Union and the Grand Slam Empire were not so bad.

It's not an alliance, but it's not an open end. Rather, I have also heard that the enemy at hand for the Gran Slam Empire is a northern barbarian group. In that state, it is almost inviolable to have a relationship with the Heilhorn Union without the need for a two-front operation.

So, I didn't think my territory would need troops. At best, it's as much as I thought I should keep the force of self-defense in each village as a prep for when the 'ecclesiastical' guys show up again.

But if the Fleetberg realm were to become the Heilhorn Union, it would undoubtedly open the battlefield against the Empire. In doing so, you must have the strength to fight immediately.

Annelotte said he'd send soldiers at first...

"Sure, you're strong... what about Skeleton's army"

Whenever, more than a dozen skeletons let them ride into a bunch of bandits.

A group of over a hundred skeletons, who fought an advance party of 'Ecclesiastes' that killed all of Bath's villages.

And the skeleton of the giant who made The Holy Knights stand alone with his opponents.

To the best of my knowledge, in these three battles, the destroyed skeletons just don't exist. If it's destroyed, if there's a demon squad, I can make it out of some of its bones again.

From an enemy country, it would be like a nightmare army.

Anne Lotte asks for it, so much so that it seems natural.

……

Either way, my current situation is packed.

Chris was the one who made the fake silver coins, and the fact that they are spreading from Fleetberg territory will not be far from the top of the empire as well. I mean, totally from the empire, I'm a criminal. They will definitely get caught in the future.

So, if there is.

Annelotte's suggestion is precisely that the ship be crossed...

"... that?

Again, I left a tentative fill-in report on my desk - check what was written there.

Earlier on, I wrote with such concern that I could somehow reduce my magic to create skeletons, almost like a note paper.

Better circulation of magic by drawing demonic squares with mercury, not blood - the way.

My body trembled, as if a current ran on my spine.

"Yes... if you draw the demon squares with materials that are magical, not blood, but that are not as specific as mercury...!

I drew the Devil's Square with blood because it's easy to prepare. Because my own blood allowed me to exercise the magic that best adapted to my magic.

And most importantly.

Because I couldn't have prepared as expensive a material as mercury as I would have painted a demonic square.

But if you can prepare that much mercury...

"For everyone, I can make skeletons......!

That's right.

To anyone, as long as they understand the principle, they will be able to create skeletons.

That's it.

I'm right in front of you, with endless magic, even Chris...
