Chapter 100: Unspoken Law Of Sisterhood!

Naomi, who should be romantic rivals with Vivienne, seemed as if she couldn’t wait to lock the door on Luca to have a private chat with her.

Meanwhile, Luca remained rooted in the bedroom, staring blankly at the closed door.

’Is this some kind of unspoken law of sisterhood between women?’

He waited alone for what felt like forever before the door finally opened. Laughter drifted out first, followed by Naomi herself. She walked back into the bedroom with the phone in her hand, her cheeks flushed pink. One hand covered her lips as she giggled, clearly still amused by whatever Vivienne had said.

Only then did the enormous weight pressing on Luca’s chest disappear.

At the very least, the two women had gotten along surprisingly well. Whatever happened when they eventually met face to face was a problem for another day. For now, this was a promising start.

"It’s getting late, little sister. I won’t interrupt the two of you any longer. Enjoy your evening together."

Naomi’s face immediately reddened again. She was far too easy to tease. Smiling bashfully, she looked at the screen before stealing another glance toward Luca on the bed. Her bright eyes sparkled like clear pools of water.

"Oh, and don’t forget to answer my question properly," Vivienne added meaningfully.

Naomi’s ears turned scarlet. Though embarrassed, she still nodded obediently.

Luca frowned.

’Question? What question did she ask?’

Before he could think any further, Vivienne raised her voice.

"Luca, I really like this little sister, so don’t you dare bully her."

A string of seductive laughter followed before the call ended.

Luca stared at the dark screen with growing curiosity.

Seeing Naomi sitting there with flushed cheeks, curling her toes shyly against the mattress, only made him more suspicious.

"Naomi," he asked as he took her delicate hand into his, gently pulling her into his arms, "what exactly did Vivienne ask you?"

Naomi met his gaze. The moment she remembered their conversation, her face grew even hotter. Her heart pounded wildly as she stuck out her tongue mischievously.

"Hmph," she said, puffing her cheeks as she turned away from his face, "I’m not telling you."

"Oh? Keeping secrets from me?" Luca grinned wickedly. "Let’s see how long that lasts."

His fingers immediately found the most ticklish spot on her waist.

"Hahaha!"

Naomi burst into uncontrollable laughter, twisting helplessly in his embrace.

"Luca... stop... hahaha... I’m really going to cry..."

"So, are you going to tell me?"

"N...N...No!" She said as Luca paused.

She puffed out her cheeks stubbornly.

"Still refusing? Then don’t blame me."

Just as he was about to continue, Luca suddenly froze.

"Huh?"

His eyes widened in surprise.

"When did you change into that?"

Only then did he notice that beneath Naomi’s loose pajamas was a neatly pressed pleated school-style outfit.

Naomi didn’t answer.

Instead, she quietly turned her face away. Dark hair slipped over one shoulder, revealing the graceful curve of her fair neck.

The simple movement stole Luca’s breath.

She slowly tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear with a hooked finger, revealing her flawless profile. Her soft cherry colored lips seemed to glow in the dim light, and for a moment Luca could only stare.

Without another word, he reached out and wrapped his arms around her slender waist.

Naomi obediently leaned into his embrace.

A gentle breeze drifted in through the balcony, carrying the scent of the night. Luca reached over and casually switched off the lights.

Darkness quietly filled the room.

Outside, the sensitive mimosa on the balcony slowly folded its leaves as the night breeze brushed past.

...

Two days later, Luca Hale drove his ten million dollar Koenigsegg One:1 to Octaveo Pharmaceutical.

Morning traffic was heavy. Car horns echoed endlessly across the streets, but among the endless stream of ordinary vehicles, the sleek black hypercar stood out like a king among commoners.

Its aggressive design, combined with the thunderous roar of its engine, turned heads wherever it passed. Pedestrians stopped to stare, while countless drivers instinctively slowed down just to admire it.

"Darling, if you buy me that car, I’ll marry you."

A fashionably dressed woman clung to the arm of a slightly overweight man, speaking in an overly sweet voice.

The man looked toward the vehicle she was pointing at.

His eyelids twitched.

A Koenigsegg.

Not just any Koenigsegg, either.

It was a Koenigsegg One:1.

"Honey, pleeease~"

The glamorous woman continued shaking his arm.

The man remained silent.

Instead, he calmly opened her handbag, took out a compact mirror, and handed it to her.

She blinked in confusion.

"What are you..."

"Look in the mirror," he interrupted with a straight face. "Then look at me."

He pointed first at her reflection, then at himself.

"Forget a Koenigsegg One:1. Do you think either of us can afford an ordinary supercar?"

With that, he pulled his arm free and walked straight toward the nearby bus stop, leaving the glamorous woman standing there red-faced and speechless.

...

Luca was already accustomed to attracting attention whenever he drove the One:1.

Even after entering Octaveo Pharmaceutical’s parking lot, nearby drivers instinctively left extra room around his car, terrified of accidentally scratching it.

"Director Brooks."

Luca smiled as he stepped out of the driver’s seat.

"What a coincidence. Looks like we’re parking beside each other again."

Miss Brooks had just parked her Mini Cooper nearby.

She looked from Luca to the hypercar, then back again.

"Director Ha... no... Chairman Hale..."

Her mouth hung open.

"Is... is this really your car?"

"Yep." Luca casually patted the roof. "Not bad, right?"

Miss Brooks couldn’t help pouting.

’Not bad?’

This was far beyond not bad.

Even though she wasn’t particularly knowledgeable about cars, she could tell this wasn’t something her little Mini Cooper could even be compared to. She even suspected it cost considerably more than Chairwoman Vivienne’s Ferrari.

Then she suddenly realized something.

No wonder the surrounding parking spaces had remained empty.

Everyone else had deliberately avoided parking anywhere near Luca’s car.

Only she, completely unaware, had confidently parked her Mini Cooper right beside the priceless hypercar. Now she suddenly felt as though her little car had wandered into the middle of an exotic supercar exhibition.
